@hfooter I am sorry! Did they say the heart cyst would go away on it's own or is it permanent? I agree the another scan makes sense and would definitely make you feel better. Hugs to you!
I feel better today after stepping back a little. I am not going to do the amino. If our chances were higher that something serious was going on then I probably would.
It sucks not knowing exactly what is going on and not getting a "everything looks great" response.
This x100. I am so thankful to share that our follow up scan went well yesterday. The genetic counselor came as well to tell us the amnio came back negative for any abnormalities (high five!) and then the ultrasound showed that the left kidney is working just fine. I have plenty of amniotic fluid which is also a very good sign. The doctor we saw yesterday has a theory on the cause of the MCDK which is the baby has a ureterocele which is basically a blockage of one of the ureters to the bladder. They will keep an eye on this throughout my pregnancy and after he is born and they may recommend a minor procedure to fix the blockage later on. Regardless, the baby is doing just fine and I don't have to have another scan for 6 weeks.
I hope everyone else with follow ups gets reassuring news soon too.

@hfooter Sorry I am only catching up now about your news. I understand the want to have a level two scan but maybe I can offer an alternative perspective.... A spot on DS's heart was found at the anatomy scan. We had not done the Harmony Test. They sent us for a level 2 but the spot was still there so really the level two did nothing at all only allow the doctor to look at it in real time as opposed to just still images. They then recommend we do the Harmony Test, which we did. It seemed that the Harmony Test was the true authority on our risk level. That came back as low risk as did yours. DS was born perfectly healthy. So even if you had another scan, nothing may have changed. Or it may not have changed *yet*. So as stressful as it is, your Harmony Test results look great and hopefully you can be ok without the second scan. It may only have added to your stress anyway. Hugs!!!
@hfooter I wonder if you could try to request a level 2 u/s? Although I do feel if they aren’t sending you for one then there isn’t much reason to worry. Easier said than done for sure! I would definitely try and get a little more information from your midwife if your mind isn’t at ease. It really sounds like it’s not worrisome to them but I do think they should be able to provide more information to calm you as well!
