@pupsicle23 Yep - same boat. No true nosebleeds yet, but all the bloody sneezes and boogers. Pregnancy is so weird.
@aharv77 You poor thing. I "leak" anytime I sneeze with a somewhat full bladder, so I can't even imagine what would happen with baby kick action thrown in. Definitely cried the first time I peed the couch and am sure it's only a matter of time til I get the bed. DH thinks it's hilarious, but in a really sweet way that makes me think he'll be better than me at handling kid fluids.
Plus whatever on the nosebleeds. Mine are better if I makeep sure and run a humidifier and using gel saline in my nostrils a couple times a day helps too.
I also am definitely having "leaking" issues. I don't think I'm doing kegels correctly or often enough to notice a difference.
I forgot to mention I've been having awful muscle pain to the outside of my left hip/upper thigh. So annoying! It feels mildly better if I can stretch it but the belly gets in the way of most effective stretches.
+whatever on the leaking issue. My allergies and asthma are getting bad thanks to the spring allergens so at least once a day now o start sneezing or coughing and end up having to go change my panties because I pee them a little.
Also +whatever on the nosebleeds. I'm not getting them super often but I got like 4 over the span of 2 days last week. And when I'm not having nosebleeds I have constant bloody boogers and bloody mucous making me congested. So that's nice. I'm glad I'm not alone but I'm sorry you're all having the same issue also.

Add me to the bloody nose/booger club. My allergies are also kicking in. Had a terrible headache yesterday into today, but I took some Claritin, Tylenol, and took a little nap and it helped.
My OB suggested I try pepcid to see if maybe some hidden reflux is contributing to my increase in nausea and vomiting (it hasn't really ever been gone, but the last 2 weeks or so, it's back pretty strong) so I took one, and shortly after was when the headache started. Headaches are listed as a side effect, however I feel like headaches are a "side effect" of every medication....so, I may try it again. If pepcid can take away even some of my nausea, I can ration my diclegis and zofran, lol.
I’m pretty sure I’m nesting. For one, I can’t stop cleaning. I also had to have the crib and the dresser we bought put together this weekend. I’ve drug out all my baby clothes and organized the smallest stuff in the new dresser. I’ve got all my newborn clothes queued up to wash and a mental list of what I don’t have enough of. I’ve spent most of the weekend obsessing over double stroller options to the point that I’m driving myself crazy. I mentioned to DH, whom I made wash all three tubs plus one shower in addition to all the stuff he had to help me put together and drag out, that I thought I was nesting. He gave me the side eye and replied, “Uh, you think?”
No blood coming out, but every single time I blow my nose there is dry blood. I often found that happening in winter {dry air} but it's just been constant since getting pregnant. I have Sinex from when I had a sinus cold in December and it's been helping keep it lowkey and at least hydrated.
I recently opened a bottle of Vicks in my shower - OMG LADIES YOU NEED TO DO THIS!! Makes a huge difference in breathing!
@Austenista Me too! Just started yesterday. Obsessive washing and cleaning. I did 5 loads of laundry, reorganized DD's closet and went through clothes that were too small, reorganized baby's closet, made DH check the crib to make sure all screws were tightened, etc. Washed the new nursing bras and robe I got from Amazon, sorted out all of my breastfeeding stuff into it's own little spot, went through my closet to get rid of old clothes. 4 bags of clothes to bring to Goodwill today. We have our sprinkle in a few weeks but I have the urge to buy the rest of the stuff we need which isn't too much but DH told me to hold on until after. I hope this crazy burst of energy translates to work productivity today!
I noticed recently my feet are swelling. More noticeable when I wear socks. Doesn't hurt, but more annoying. Thought it was more an 'end of the day' kinda deal, but on Saturday I noticed that it was a thing even after a couple hours {legit, like 2 hrs lol}
Other than putting my feet up, is there anything to help alleviate this? {I'm guessing no, but maybe someone has an idea lol}
@aharv77@Austenista I think so far my version of nesting is obsessively researching random baby items, furniture items, etc., online. But that might be because until we get more storage stuff, I literally don't have anywhere to put anything.
@aharv77@Austenista @doxiemoxie212 I've started cleaning out my house. Yesterday I cleaned out MH's desk area and a big storage cabinet we have behind the couch. I've cleaned out my closet three times and am starting on drawers. I'm freaking out because I just want to make room for baby stuff.
+1 for nesting but mine is manifesting a little on the strange side. Yesterday my bf was taking apart the bed in the spare bedroom, which will soon be the nursery. He was bringing the pieces into the basement and I felt like I needed to be productive too, so I went down to get a Clorox wipe and was gonna wipe down the bathroom. Well I saw a spot on the white kitchen cabinets at the bottom which led to me sitting on the kitchen floor for an hour scrubbing the cabinets. They were nasty down there. But that's how my nesting has presented. I end up doing a small, tedious task that really doesnt look like I did anything in the grand scheme of things. Last week I cleaned out under one side of the bathroom sink and organized papers in a filing cabinet. Meanwhile, my whole house needs cleaned, have laundry, and 50 important things to do.
Friday night I sat on the floor of baby's room an separated what clothes we had by size and put some in the dressers we have an 9 month + went back into the bin I was previously using.
Getting really picky about baby's room layout .... also started cleaning things like mad. Mess is driving me nuts lol
@amys614 that's exactly how my sat went. I wanted to fold/organize the next basket of clean baby clothes that have been sitting next to the dryer for a week now. but decided I needed to vacuum first... but before I did that I needed to clean our the secretary that has been collecting so.much.stuff and papers... not something that needed done right this second. so I never got to vacuum. and that basket of clothes is still sitting here. atleast I vacuumed on sunday lol.

@amys614@catlady1215 That's exactly how mine started! I started by grabbing the basket of clean clothes to fold. Then needed more hangers for DD's clothes which lead to deciding to go through the stuff that was too small which lead to doing the same thing in my closet. It spiraled from there and I was in a zombie-like trance that could not be disturbed. LOL. So far, it has not helped my productivity at work. I just keep making lists of all the things that need to be done at home
I wanna nest but the swelling in my feet & ankles make anything other than sitting or laying for more than 10 minutes impossible. Grocery shopping Sunday took everything I had.
@doxiemoxie212 i got compression socks last week. They help a little. I soak in Epson salt everyday. It feels good but i notice no difference afterwards. I tried ice last week, didn’t help.
@LaceyBee522 on the weekdays i do. I am upping it though to see if it helps.
Note: i have a navicular coalition in both feet. Thats a fancy way of saying I really have no ankle joint, the only thing between my feet & ankles is scar tissue. So I already don’t have the mobility of a normal person, i would guess this only helps the pool of fluids. I’m supposed to have a surgery (podiatrist gave me 10 years in 2012, so i have about 3 years) where essentially both my feet will be broken, the scar tissue removed and excess bone will be used to fill in the area making my feet & ankles one. Getting both feet done at once will put me in a wheelchair for 6 weeks until my feet heal. That and never having enough to pay 20% for the surgery is why I’ve went all these years without fixing the issue. Instead i wear custom insoles that cost about $325 each and do mat based workouts like yoga & pole.
+1 for nesting...it's my day off work and I just spent the last few hours steam cleaning and scrubbing down everything in my kitchen, living room and downstairs bathroom. Literally I put DD down for her nap and was like holy crap I've got so much to do in the next 8 weeks I need to start like now.
@bearmoons If it does end up being the Pepcid that is responsible for the headaches you could try Esomeprazole. I want to say it's brand name Nexium but I always buy generic so I'm not totally sure. It's what my doctor recommended when Pepcid just wasn't cutting it for me. I have definitely noticed my nausea is worse when I'm having heartburn. Sometimes even after the esomeprazole I'll need Zofran but I would say at least half the time it helps enough that I'm OK without the Zofran. That's a win in my book. Hopefully something for heartburn will help you feel better also!
Me: 28 Husband: 31 TTC#1: January 2015- September 2016 Infertility, Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Rainbow baby born June 6, 2017 ❤️
@bearmoons my midwife had me start on prevacid (lansoprazole) it's helped big time with my heartburn and it's a class b for pregnancy. Couldn't hurt to ask your OB if that's an option incase that pepcid is causing your headaches.
@ffw0617 I'm sorry, that sounds terrible. I'm sure that's not helping the swelling at all. Hopefully upping the water will help.
I'm sitting here at work, and I swear this baby was punching my rectum or something. It was like spasming for a few minutes. Wth. So weird and not cool.
@amys614 she does that to my pubic bone... or like, slightly above it. Also, I'm sure it's referred sensation, but sometimes she stretches her little hands out on either side of my pubic bone toward my legs, and I swear it feels like little tiny fingers stretching down my legs. It's the creepiest feeling.
@ffw0617 I'm sorry, that sounds terrible. I'm sure that's not helping the swelling at all. Hopefully upping the water will help.

I'm dying laughing picturing this, but I'm right there with you! I don't know what he's doing in there, but I've had this same feeling and jumped in my seat! The first time it happened I couldn't help but go "what the f*ck?!".
The things no one warns you about during pregnancy...
Allergy sufferers I may have good news! I asked my OB this morning, and she's cleared me for Reactin!! I double checked if the sinus one is okay, and she's cleared it too
So if you have allergies, double check but Reactin has been cleared for me!
I'm not sure if this goes here or the eating thread, but I'm leaving it here. I have been absolutely RAVENOUS every morning. I'm on breakfast #3 right now. Then at night, I barely touch dinner. This is similar to my first trimester "evening sickness" where I couldn't eat anything after 6pm or I'd throw it right back up. I really hope I'm not relapsing back into that.
@LaceyBee522 Hopefully you're not, but I've heard of food aversions in pregnancy. Could be that. My mum can't eat late at night either, or else she gets sick also so that might be just your body.
@LaceyBee522 I am the same, hungry as hell in the morning and by late afternoon I feel like I can't eat and I'm so nauseated. I've found if I just lay down and sip on liquids and don't force anything down, I am able to minimize the barfing. Good luck! (I think it might be a mechanism of no more real estate in my abdomen, which is probably even more so for you!)
I dropped off this thread about a week ago when work started to pick up- which sucks because my ability to stay focused on one task has declined greatly. Today I saw there was 101 new posts since I last opened the thread- I almost decided that this was the thread I would never read again- luckily most of the post were pretty short.
I'm right there with the nesting starting to happen- but I'm in so much pain most days my nesting has turned into delegating chores for DH. There is just so much that needs to be cleaned/ done though that I know I can't keep adding to his list while sitting with my feet up.
+ however many to the bloody snot, but DH has it worse than I do, so I chalked it up to allergies. This weekend is suppose to be brutal here in the northeast too- so watch out if any of you are also in the NE.
+1 to the return of nausea & only being able/ wanting to eat in the AM. I usually eat a little bit with DD, pick up something on my way to work, and have a late morning snack at the office. By the time I get home from work I've had heartburn on and off most of the day and just want to go to bed. I will say that is has gotten better- around 27-28 weeks I was getting really nauseous in the morning before I ate- luckily that has clear up and I just still prefer to eat more earlier.
AFM I hurt my shoulder late last week (posted about it some where) and there feels like a knot in my shoulder the size of my hand (whole hand- fingers and all). After seeing my doctor and asking very nicely if she would remove the baby from my body so I can sleep on my stomach (vs my poor shoulder). She said no- but said I could use Icy Hot. So last night, I asked my husband to put some on my shoulder- and we didn't have any.... but we did have vick vapor rub and dr google said that it's also used as a muscle relaxer. It worked pretty well- and is apparently better for pregnant mamas than Icy Hot so I would recommend if any of you need help with muscle knots. I'm getting a massage tomorrow, so hopefully the knot will be removed and my ankles will return to their normal size.
I feel like I’m having the lighting crotch you all described, but i feel like its too early for that (31 weeks)? At first I thought it was SPD bc of the pain in my inner left thigh but i put some kinesiology tape on my bump and that stopped the thigh pain but i still have the sharp crotch pain. Its soooooooo annoying and constant idk how much i can take. I laid on my inner tube, stretched, laid with pillow between my legs, walked. I’m out of options. Someone help
Quick update: thanks to someone in the comments of a blog i tried cat cow poses followed by modified chil pose for about 5 minutes that got him to move up and gave me some lighting crotch relief. Idk if this will always work, maybe he could tell at was rethinking this whole baby thing with every painful shot
I feel like my body doesn't understand pregnancy, because I've had zero nesting impulses. Unless you count cleaning off the coffee table to make room for my textbook.
Hopefully H starts getting some nesting feelings soon to cover my lack of them.
@ffw0617 I've had lightening crotch on and off since about 25 weeks. I didn't have it at all with DS. My doctor wasn't surprised I was having it so early. She recommended cat-cow (which you've done) to try to get the baby off whatever nerve it was sitting on. I'm glad it provided you some relief.
Any one having back issues while sleeping - like me - I may have found a solution! {or I may have jinxed myself on this lmao}
2 options - 1 - sleep with a pillow under your butt. Low, just so your pelvis is more forward as opposed to arching backwards
2 - since the pillow will not stay all night or if you're a side sleeper, pull your top leg up as far as comfortable so you're almost in fetal position {note: more comfortable if you have a pillow between your legs/knees}
I was still awake at my typical 2am, but I got more restful sleep when I was asleep. Made a huge difference in comfort!
@marcus7676 glad im not the only one experiencing this so early. When i woke up the lighting crotch was back (not as bad) but i started sucking on ice, i read somewhere when its colder baby moves higher to be closer to your heart where it’s warmer. So far it’s working. Not great for breathing but I’ll take that over the lighting crotch
Little man must be laying just right because I'm walking around at work today like I'm 90 years old with awful sciatica...definitely didn't have this problem with DD
