Weekend Randoms 4/7

Starting because DH is gone for drill and DS slept with me and is unusually sleeping in and if I move the dog will get riled up and wake him lol

We aren’t doing anything this weekend. I can barely walk around the house I’m in so much pain after this week at work.

DS asked my mom if she’d come for a sleepover so at least she will be here later today and tonight if I get worse.

My house is such a mess and it’s driving me crazy I don’t know how much I can do.

    @F47
I hear you! This week has sucked.

We're replacing our carpets with LVP, soI need too move everything in my house that is downstairs, upstairs. I'm really not looking forward to it. I also have an absolute mess of a house since I've been sick and exhausted since we got back from vacation. I leave for a week and a half in Oregon in just a few days, so I'm running out of time to get things done.

@F47 I hear you. Of course my SPD is unbearable the weekend DH is gone too and DS won’t even let the dog out etc for me while I’m bawling my eyes out on the couch because he’s “too comfy”

I’m sorry you’re in so much pain @scottishlass1213

and seriously @F47 being sick while pregnant is the worst!

im so happy my mom is taking my oldest for the day. Although he’s been the more manageable one. My 18 month old has been insane. But he will have fun with her and lessens my kid load while DH is gone.

DH is at a gambling tournament. I don’t understand why he enjoys gambling every now and then. He never wins. In fact the only times he has is when I was there and made him stop when he was up!

Being that we are about to have a third kid we bought a van. I’m like half excited about the practicality of it and some of the cool features but also sad that this is where I’m at in life lol. I don’t know how to explain it. I guess part of it was I never pictured myself driving a van let alone having 3 kids. It’s been a tough week mentally.

@hfooter I don’t get gambling either. The most DH ever does is poker with the guys every 6 months though for change haha

Funny how many of our DH’s are gone this weekend. We’re they all speaking to each other? Lol

We are painting the nursery this weekend! I have spent all week clearing out everything that made the room my office (that was bittersweet) and now it will start to become baby’s room. We also got her car seat last night, so realistically after this weekend we will have the essentials to bring her home. 14 weeks is going to fly by waiting for her arrival!

@kc0711 ugh, jealous you’re getting to paint! We’ve had paint samples lying around for weeks but DH and I can never seem to get on the same page with clearing the room out. We did a little yesterday but not nearly as much as I wanted to. Hopefully next week since he’s off!

Back to work for me tonight, ugh. My house is empty right now so at least I can enjoy the quiet and hopefully get a good nap in!

I just realized they opened a Shake Shack near me and while I’ve never had it, I really want a hot dog and fries right now but can’t move soooo.

This is making me realize the the lack of people I even feel comfortable asking for help.

The ‘August 2018’ link at the bottom AND TOP is gone for me so now it’s all the back button... yikes!

my ils are visiting - ugh. My oldest turns 7 today and his patty is this afternoon. The 2.5yr old has a cold and 2 consecutive nights of terrible sleep. I vacuumed and picked up yesterday and now my left hip is all jacked up and throbbing, it even woke me up last night.

man I wish was could drink. Heavily. Lol

@mrs_drc_rn we’ve been staring at the paint samples for months, figured it was finally time! This is my first weekend off, so I’m jumping on it. Hopefully next weekend will be your weekend!

@scottishlass1213 do you have uber eats or postmates? When I don’t want to get up, I will admit to ordering food and having it delivered to me!

Our husbands need to come home!  :D

MIL flies back home today, so we can officially start converting the guest room. We have lots to do because DS1 is moving into the guest room, and baby is getting his room. So, we have two rooms to decorate.

It’s going to be a lot of work, but I don’t have the motivation yet. I though my anatomy scan would help me feel like this is really happening, but nope, still feels like I’m just perpetually pregnant, but won’t ever actually have a baby (if that makes sense).

Yes @F47. I feel like I should at least be 32 weeks along right now. I also don’t have anything done but my mom is going to paint the nursery. I have artwork but that’s it. Even though I feel the baby and he’s causing me a considerable amount of misery, it still doesn’t feel like a baby is the outcome.

I dont mean this in a rude way, I swear! Y’all can totally do this with your husbands gone. I don’t have one and me and the boys seem to do just fine  :) you don’t give yourselves enough credit.

@calimom2524 DH has been gone a combined probably 3 years of our 11 year marriage so I’m familiar with coping alone. However not typically with debilitating pain. Thankfully though, DS is old enough to manage himself besides meals. We’re just watching a lot of tv today lol My reply isn’t meant as rude either just wanted to comment. Would be so much better if it wasn’t a crappy day out either. That always seems to make it worse!  Where is Spring?!

WTF is this cold weather crap again! At least it didn't snow this time, like they'd been warning about all week. But muh flowers!

Sorry to hear you're in so much pain @scottishlass1213 - hopefully you start to feel better soon!

@hfooter I don't get gambling either. My stepmom does it - A LOT. She's like.. a platinum member of Harrah's and some other casinos...IDK how it works. She gets free shit all the time and stays in the hotels for free. We used to go to the casinos every christmas because it was free for our family (besides the gambling part of course). It always worked out for our family though because we're SUPER loud and like to drink and be annoying and no one cares too much about that in a casino :)  I'm glad we stopped doing that though - it got old pretty fast.

My H must have missed the memo - he's out of town next weekend. :)

I finished my second to last paper for grad school today and I'm so happy. Just one more to go!! I also managed to grade some tests and do some shopping. I feel pretty productive!

You guys are so organized. I can't even get hubby on board with name selection let alone shopping/planning/designing a nursery. It's like he shuts down whenever I bring this stuff up. He says " We have so much time!" Uhh buddy we have 18 weeks until the due date and I don't want to be rushing around at 38 weeks. The only thing we have is a car seat. Currently house shopping so as soon as we sign a deposit I am measuring the babes room and getting busy.
At what point do you just start doing everything and not including them in decision making? Am I a bit delusional to think he will be side by side making decision re: nurseries and baby products? Ugh

I just spent another Saturday cleaning things out and selling a bunch of stuff! My DH says I make more money on my days off then when I’m at work. This second trimester energy has really been great for getting my house de cluttered!

@hannerbananers my DH has also been saying how we have plenty of time. I finally told him that I don’t mind making all the decisions on my own, but if he wants input then we need to go to a store in the next two weeks. I’ve also put a bunch of stuff on my amazon registry and shown it to him. That way he sees things and can decide if he likes it or not, but he didn’t have to make any decisions. I get you though, it’s frustrating.

@hannerbananers With our first DH was into the bigger purchases but not the small stuff or clothes or nursery. Same this time, I’m left to my own devices but we don’t have much to do besides buy updated car seat and camera for the room type thing. My mom and i did the the nursery last time and we will do it this time too.

Im feeling better after sitting/laying all day though I hate doing it. I think It will just be my life for 3.5 more months every few days to recover from the week. The day just us gone by soooo slowly not doing anything. I’m not cut out for that hah

I'd just start doing things, and let DH know that if he wants input then now's the time. My rule is that you can be involved or not, but if you choose not to, then you forfeit the right to complain later.

@scottishlass1213 now I want shake shack! It’s so good. I love their burgers more than in-n-out and that’s blasphemy here. I hope you feel better soon!

I took a sewing class this morning and made a cute tote bag, then started cutting pieces for the quilt I’m making the baby when I got home. I’m feeling all nest-y and energized but only when it comes to things I can do while sitting. My house is still a disaster!

I’m exhausted. DS woke me up at 7am. We had 4 inches of snow. A good bit of it has melted by now, but still. It’s April. We have nothing planned for the weekend, but apparently DH told my mom that we’ll go see them tomorrow. My dad called at 8am to verify that, and I had no idea what he was talking about.

The baby’s position, kicking, or whatever is making me sooo sore. My back hurts, my legs hurt, my pelvis hurts, and my abs hurt. When I get up or change position, I feel like I have a brick in my stomach. I don’t remember feeling like that at all with DS. DH & I have been cleaning and working on Cub Scout stuff all day. He took DS out to sell popcorn this evening, and I’m considering going to bed at 8pm whether they’re home or not. Also, I really don’t want to go see my parents tomorrow. I may send DH & DS and just nap at home.

@pghctwife +1 to the drinking. I just want to pop a bottle of wine and relax with a glass or three. And then drink the rest of the bottle tomorrow.

Omg I feel so pregnant. :( My hips are killing me, needing over is a full on pregnant squat, getting up from the floor is like I'm 80 million years old and picking up my son or carrying him is getting more and more difficult.  I hate this part until the end!!!!

@melprop yesss. I could go for a good beer buzz. Just enough to feel it. My previous pregnancies I didn’t miss it really and I honestly don’t drink that often - esp not beyond 1 drink but I just could do go for a couple right now. So jealous of dh and the ipas he’s having lol. A few sips do not really satisfy

@mapleandbacon I’m with you. Suddenly I’m 87 weeks pregnant and can’t do anything comfortably anymore. Definitely went from 12-87 weeks in the blink of an eye and completely skipped over the “cute” pregnancy stage, directly into the sweaty, moaning and breathless pregnancy stage.

The past two weeks I've been slammed at work, putting in over 70 hours a week. Today, i only worked an hour, and spent the day catching up on laundry, and the dvr. Tomorrow we have a 1st birthday for our niece, and I am hoping to decide on a crib.

Yeah, I look and feel 28 weeks pregnant and I’m not even 22 yet. Idk if it’s a STM thing or I’m just carrying differently. The bump feels so huge and heavy.

Also, my nipples are super sore today. Maybe because it’s so cold?

I have been wearing the clothes I wore my previous pregnancy and I guess since I've seen myself in them before I didn't realize what even was going on bump wise until I put on a brand new maternity shirt today. WOW talk about shock factor. I'm  Bigger, quicker this time around for sure.
Also it could just be Easter candy, Its been a rough week. Can't believe so many of you don't like the big "egg" filled Cadbury eggs. Delish.

Hey ladies, was gone all day so just catching up. Had our friend's funeral today, and I am emotionally and physically exhausted. It turned into an all day affair because people traveled in from all over the country so we went straight from the showing to the funeral to lunch and then back to a friend's house until 11:30pm when i finally had to pull the pregnancy card and leave. I was DD for DH and 2 friends who are staying with us, so i was trying to give them as much time to hang together as possible, but i hit a wall and ended up crying in the bathroom because I was so tired. No one caught me, but DH realized I was at the end of my rope about 30 min later.

Long day but a necessary goodbye and good to see a lot of people celebrate his life.
