  • @sunshineandwhiskey @Austenista Agree, hypertension/pre-e would be a good thread topic.

  • @sunshineandwhiskey @Austenista @LaceyBee522 I think a HTN/pre-e thread would be nice to have too.
  • Coughing kind of makes my ribs feel like someone’s gone after them with a baseball bat.

  • I started having what feels like pulled muscle pain on the left side of my belly today. Whenever I move around, it just stops me in my tracks. When I was getting on the bed for my NST this morning I thought I was going to cry trying to move my body across the bed and up the way the nurse wanted me. Blargh!

  • @stephcat421 sometimes I wonder if its a fissure also. I don't know anything about those. and I'm to creeped out to look back there lol. But I'd seriously try anything, even a&d and I haaate the smell of a&d.

@aharv77 glad they're being to proactive about it all. fx pre-e doesn't creep around and there's no more issues!

  • @catlady1215 yeah they're not pretty but fairly common, and commonly mistaken as hemorrhoids. I was so humiliated to have that area examined with a little magnifying glass eek. But, was desperate and willing for any form of embarrassment. Highly recommend A&D, highly! Before and after each time you use the bathroom.
  • @stephcat421 the embarrassment is why I still haven't gone to a dr for them.. in almost 15 years :D But its not normally a constant thing or else I would. I'm putting a&d on my shopping list for the week. thank you!

  • @sunshineandwhiskey its not that crazy. Ive been thinking late May since my second ultrasound. He consistently measured 1 or 2 weeks bigger than the weeks. At my 20 week appointment when we were discussing when she’d make the decision whether or not to schedule a c section, my OB mentioned how he’s consistently bigger and would probably be a couple weeks early since my fibroids only make it more cramp for him.

I’ve vomited twice in the last 24 hrs. Just now, it included a lot of bile that looks like involved some blood. I’ve had an ulcer before, so that’s concerning. I have an appt that includes a growth scan this pm but am thinking of trying to push it up.

eta: mh thinks I should call in. I think that’s dramatic and should go to work, but I think calling in is almost always dramatic, but I’m right, right? I have a headache and will prob vom again but otherwise feel fine.
  • @pupsicle23 Vomiting blood doesn't sound very good. :( I would probably focus on getting seen ASAP as opposed to going to work, IMO! They may send you for stat testing in which case you may want to buy some time.

  • @pupsicle23 I echo @silvergreen.  I think you should call the doctor first thing.  I've had a few separate bleeding episodes and called in and always apologized, but they really want you to call in to be better safe than sorry.
  • @pupsicle23 I agree with the other ladies!  My theory behind calling is even if they think its NBD, they at least have a record of whats been going on for future reference.  Rest rest rest!

  • I can't cross my legs. It's really cramping my style because I don't know how to sit at work without crossing my legs. I guess I will just stick to the feet flat on the floor, back straight. I know it is better posture but its just not as comfortable.

  • @krashke can you taylor sit in your chair? That's what I used to do when I worked in an office lol. I'm not allowed to anymore because of SPD, but that's what I miss most...
  • @doxiemoxie212 I can if I take my shoes off and only for probably a half hour at a time before my hips start to get sore.

  • @krashke @doxiemoxie212 what is "taylor sit"???
like, cross legged? Or non politically correct, indian style?
  • @LaceyBee522 basically pretzel style. Sometimes butterfly with the bottom of your feet touching. Sometimes on a pillow to elevate your hips. In my Bradley classes they had us taylor sit on pillows on the floor for every class. It helps open the hips, which is why Doxie shouldn't do it because her SPD is caused by her hips being too open already.

  • @krashke I don't think I spent more than 30 cumulative minutes/day at any job with my shoes on lol. It was sort of a problem when I'd forget to put them back on for the walk to my next meeting. I hate shoes. I would always just take them off and then tuck my feet under my butt so you couldn't see my feet anymore :)
  • I'm glad everything checked out okay @pupsicle23 and I hope you feel better!

@krashke - I can't sit cross legged anymore because of SPD.  I also can't sit back in my chair without feeling like I'm suffocating. So I have to perch on the edge of my chair with my legs spread like a man (and the bump in between).  My desk is open so it looks ridiculous (and I have to be careful wearing dresses).  I tell myself sitting like this is fine because it's a better position for the baby to work its way down.

  • @pupsicle23 I'm glad everything checked out okay. Get lots of rest!!
@doxiemoxie212 we had an employee get in some trouble for saying "indian style" to a group of kids at work. Now the concept of sitting cross legged always reminds me of her.
And on another note about SPD, I was never diagnosed with it or anything, but does it feel like sometimes your legs could fall out of their sockets when you move around? I've been getting that feeling recently. It's somewhat painful but more unnerving than anything else.

  • @Amphibious22 that's exactly what mine feels like, but also other things.
  • @doxiemoxie212 good to know! I don't think mine is anywhere near as intense/advanced as yours seems to be, but I was wondering about it.

  • Talking makes me winded. Doing stairs makes me winded.
    Existing makes me winded basically.

She hasn't dropped yet - obv - but I'm 95% sure she sometimes hangs out near the bottom of my uterus/the womb/where ever t.f she is because it'll randomly look like she's dropped a bit in the mirror. I often check with my H to see if I'm imagining things, and he confirms it just looks rounded under the belly.

    First trimester hunger has returned for me. I can't leave the kitchen without something to eat. Even a few nibbles of shredded cheese is fine {ok more than a few but you get the point ...}

    Anyone else getting Braxton Hicks?
I've had them like 3x since mid-March. OB said it's fine as long as they don't last/continue and there's no fluid.
  • @krashke do you have anything you could use as a foot rest, if you don't have a foot rest? Pre-pregnancy I would use my computer tower as a foot rest.
  • @MissKittyDanger reading DD a story just made me short of breath. I’m hoping to blame it on the fact that I had just chugged some water and my stomach was full so my lungs had even less room to move than usual.

  • With DS, I never had an 'omgosh I could pee myself moment'. Not like a full bladder feeling, just pee lol. But I keep getting these very quick moments when I'm like 'yikes! That could have been bad!' Like I have to be concentrating on not peeing myself when I feel it lol. It doesn't feel like he's kicking it. But this child is so frickin low anyway, I'm sure it's him.

  • @catlady1215 yaaassssss! There have been several times at work where he shifts and I'm all of a sudden like "oh my god if I don't get to a bathroom right now I'm going to pee myself" and I definitely never had that with DD
