Gahhh. How in the world am I going to work until April 23rd!? (my first OB appt.) My productivity has hit rock bottom the last few days. All I want to do is google baby stuff and this isn't even my first baby, lol!!! I've looked up baby names, nursery idea, etc etc etc. I'm a lost cause.

@kristah2 I just got my DD light up Paw Patrol tennis shoes for Easter and she is OBSESSED. (She hasn't seen the show yet, she just loves dogs, haha.) Anyway, they have the light up shoes at Payless and they're pretty adorable. I assume they have some in the boys' section too.

@texas_t Our ultrasound appointments are a day apart! Mine's the 24th. Three weeks from tomorrow (who's obsessively counting?) And yes, I cannot focus on anything else either. Time speed up!

I also may have already started a (secret) maternity/baby clothes pinterest board even though I am still *incredibly* nervous about this pregnancy.

Two randoms for me today...

1. I've decided to give in to my temptations and go shopping tomorrow for baby girl clothes. I'm hoping this one is a girl (but I'll take either as long as it's healthy!), but if it's not, my SIL is pregnant with a girl so I'll just pass it all on to her. WIN-WIN.

2. My dad and his family are huge Villanova fans. He went there and grew up across the street from campus in a house that my Aunt now lives in. He's also a super preppy, khaki pants, polo shirts, main line guy and he said that if Villanova won the championships and the Eagles won the super bowl he would have my husband tattoo him to commemorate the occasion, which is super out of character. Well, both happened! I hate sports, but I have never been so excited for a team to win! Hahahaha!

Hehe, my SiL is due with a girl in August, their first. So you know i hiked my boy-Mom self over to all those sparkly ballerina skirts at carter’s when I was getting my son some summer clothes. SOMEone will use it!

I am not so smart with the digital thermostat we have. The auto function disappeared so I went online and learned how to “fix it.” It worked and I had the auto function again. However I woke up to the upstairs being 85 degrees with the heat still pumping. It took me forever this morning but I reset it back to factory settings and the heat stopped!! I had to reset the WiFi, and it’s not completely set up online, but the temperature is now normal again. I think I set it to an outside thermometer which we don’t have...I don’t know?? Just glad it’s hopefully fixed.

@binxybaby I would love to start baby shopping! But I have restraining myself until we know if it’s a boy or girl. If it’s a boy, I really won’t have to buy much because DS was born in February so I can pretty much use everything of his. But if it’s a girl, I’m gonna go crazy buying all the things! Unfortunately I don’t know anyone else having a girl to use that as an excuse.
I’m really disappointed too cause there’s a huge Mom’s sale in my area this weekend. I want to go to it, but I don’t want to go with anyone else cause we haven’t told anyone yet and I don’t know how I would explain myself. But I don’t want to go by myself either and risk seeing people I know. Ahh!

@mittenlove86 Same same. My son was born early last January, and this one is due essentially at the same time. It will be nice to have all my maternity and baby stuff in season but I wouldn’t mind getting some extra cute girly stuff too! That said, I think this one is a boy based on timing. Haha. We’ll see though!

I haven’t decided if I am going to find out if it’s a boy or girl. I don’t know how I feel about either. I have 2 boys, so I said out loud the other day- I hope it’s a girl! Then I felt so guilty and sad that I hoped it is a girl because Id be so happy with a boy. These hormones ... if it’s a boy I plan on buying nothing except - new bottles and infant seat. That’s appealing as I’ve saved everything. But as I plan for this to be my last baby (if everything stays as is) I’m having lots of feelings.

@gracie4400 I'm trying to decide if I need a double stroller! My son will be 3 yrs and 4 months when baby gets here. I'm into babywearing, so I feel like is DS needs a stroller, I can just hoist baby in a carrier. Who knows. This is foreign territory to me!

I love my double, but I’d recommend getting one second hand. They are so expensive! I have an old one that isn’t made anymore, but you can still get parts - city elite side by side. It fits through doorways and I replaced its wheels with the foam filled wheels so now they never need air. I can also jog with it, but I don’t. I run on a treadmill ALONE

@texas_t My daughter will be nearly 3 when this baby arrives and she already *barely* tolerates a stroller (wants to walk or run everywhere) BUT I've been kind of obsessed with this Chicco sit/stand stroller. I already have the Chicco keyfit car seat, which snaps in for the newborn part, but the older kid can stand on a panel in the back, or be strapped in it a sort of big kid sitting position. I am hoping DD will love it, but I think I will definitely try to go somewhere and test it out first before buying it.

@maureenmce We have a Britax B Agile Travel system. I can get an attachment to make it have a big kid standing position. I might just do that because I can still snap in my Britax baby seat. Good thought!

@texas_tI have a baby jogger city select that converts to a double, so there's that, but I like having the umbrella stroller too, it's light and easy to carry and takes up such little space. DD will be 21 months when baby arrives so I'm thinking it might be worth it.

@activebaby that's a great idea to look for one second-hand, I'll definitely keep my eyes open for one!

IME there can be a little jealousy with the baby riding in the stroller, so I wanted both to be able to sit. I baby wore a lot when the baby was small. Now we usually have big ride in the stroller (umbrella) and I’ll carry the baby or have them both walk. I do this to get them to swim lessons because I often take them both on my own. They will fight over the stroller (umbrella). We just use the double when we are traveling (I don’t know how I’d travel without it), or at an amusement park or festival. My mom friends from m14 are split on what kid of double they like, but everyone agrees to get it second hand.

Ugh I have to call to make an appointment, don't I? I hate this part, because I can't do it at work or my officemate will hear, and I'm really at work for the clinic's open hours, so blah.

Also, I just looked at all the maternity pants at Gap, because I have a bajillion dollars in rewards to spend. None of the pants I want are available in my size. Which, fine. I'm like 3 seconds pregnant, but still.

I know it's early but any cravings for anyone so far? For me, it's everything salty, especially dill pickles (which I've had to stop because they were not helping my bloating issues) and cranberry juice (which I have never, ever bought in my entire life before now.)

My cravings are random but strong. I NEEDED Salsaritas for lunch yesterday. And pizza the night before. My appetite has been weird...not hungry at all and then a strong craving. Pregnancy is weird. Lol

I can’t stop thinking about putting anchovies on my pizza tonight... but that’s not outside my norm, lol.

I had way more aversions than cravings with past pregnancies. Like cream cheese. I couldn’t eat cream cheese for a year after DS was born even, it was that gross to me.

I've been craving milkshakes and asian food, especially sushi. I had GD last pregnancies, horrible food aversions and morning sickness, so cravings and being able to indulge in them are new to me lol

No cravings, but I've successfully confirmed that I'm capable of eating tacos this pregnancy! That was a serious and heartbreaking aversion my last go-round.

No real strong cravings here either but like @runrinserepeat I also had strong aversions last pregnancy. I lived off of macaroni and cheese for weeks, it was all I could stomach. Not looking forward to that this time around
