There’s no Tuesday thread for complaining so I’m putting this here. Just got off the phone w/ my OB’s office who wants to get in an u/s tomorrow, but has to send me to a different office because my Medicaid won’t be effective until 5/1. Hoping so hard I won’t be expected to pay out of pocket when I go. This + the fact that DH and I are about to pay out of pocket for his yearly bronchitis at the Minute Clinic has me so pissed off at his company. Yes, they’re only 2 years old but wtf kind of company doesn’t offer their employees health benefits when they’re grossing millions already???? He’s one of only 15 employees. Get your shit together and give back to your employees. Ugh, rant over lol

@kecoff01 how exciting! By 9 weeks last pregnancy we announced, but this pregnancy DH wants to wait for 12 weeks. I have an appointment next week with another ultrasound scheduled, so I'm trying to see if I can get him to agree to that. We already agreed on how we are announcing so I'm excited about that.

I've been looking for Bermuda length maternity shorts. Maternity denim comes in 2 lengths 1. Daisy Dukes 2. Skinny jeans to the ankle. Why is that???

Scrambled eggs sounded delicious. I was seriously dreaming of them. So I made scrambled eggs. Took one bite and started gagging. Suddenly, scrambled eggs sounded like the most disgusting food ever. First tri is fun.

@kecoff01 We announced this weekend, too (9w)! I hate keeping secrets. It makes me anxious!

I had to take DD1 to urgent care this morning. She has pink eye in both eyes. She's still just as happy as she can be, though, even though both eyes are gunky and swollen. She's such a trooper! When I took her RX to Walgreens to be filled, I went super-market-sweep on the half off Easter candy aisle. Lord, give me strength not o eat it all in one sitting!

I am seriously getting tired of the vivid dreams and pregnancy is just starting. I had them with DD but not every single freaking time I fell asleep. I keep having nightmares about work or whatever other thing that’s on my mind and they just keep happening over and over and over

@kecoff01 we haven't announced too publicly yet...but we are spreading the word more than previous times and we haven't even seen the doc yet!! it's still just a select few people who know, but something tells me we'll be telling more people sooner than previous times

and this week is going to be the longest week ever...just waiting for my appointment wed and then we are taking our motor home out this weekend for the first time!!! EK!! if only i could fast forward to the good stuff!

@cm716 the struggle is real on that one. I love gauchos for pregnancy, and I found some decent ones at Amazon (Beachcoco's maternity). I stocked up on a few pairs to get me through this summer.

My new camera & lens were delivered today!! I am so excited to test it out on DS! The tulips at one of the gardens here are blooming, so I hope to get there this week.

I don’t know about anyone else, but when I get hungry I need to eat ASAP. My drs appt took 2.5 hours today and I started getting hungry when we first walked in. I talked dh into chic-fil-a for dinner tonight because I can’t wait.

@kbrown2385 girl, I had never ever experienced hunger pains like when I was pregnant last time. It felt like getting punched in the stomach repeatedly all because I hadn’t eaten in like two hours

I’ve been cramping a lot today, which scares the ish out of me. DD waited for me in only her pajama top in her crib this morning. She’d taken off her poopy diaper and there was poop everywhere. I’m impressed (and, oh so thankful) she didn’t actually spread it with her little fingers. So off to give her a bath, disinfect her crib and change the sheets, shower, then make breakfast, clean, dishes, etc. I was cramping a lot by the end of all that so I sat down for a couple hours. It got better but it came back when I went to put her down for her nap

ETA: sent too soon. So I’m just taking it easy and hoping it goes away while waiting for DH to bring dinner. There really is no taking it easy with a toddler

@CopperBoom86 oooh, what kind of candy did you get? Isn't it crazy how kids can be so sick, but still so happy and energetic? I don't get it. Hope your DD's eye heals quickly!
@kbrown2385 @tinypikachu +100 to the hunger pangs. I get so hungry it hurts. Like my stomach is caving in on itself.

@mockingjay1 ooo what camera and lens did you get? We got a entry level DSLR just before DD was born and I've loved having it. We finally splurged a few months ago and got a 35mm lens (in addition to the kit lenses it came with) to go with it and I absolutely love it.

@goldie987 - I got a canon 6d & the 85mm! I had a 70d which was good, but I rented a 6d to take my bff's and some of our Christmas pictures in November and I loved how great it was in low light. My coworker really wants me to take her family pictures this month, so we'll see how that goes! I really want to eventually get into some astrophotography. My telescope hasn't been out much since DS was born though

Lack of sleep with a toddler doesn't work so well!

Nice camera! Our Nikon d3300 does great in bright and medium light but it's a mess in low light. It's passable if you mess with it enough but I'd love to get something that is a bit better in a few years.

Astrophotography sounds so cool! I had a telescope growing up that my parents currently have stored at their house for safe keeping. I can't wait until DD is old enough to be into stars, or really stay up late enough to see them at all. I was all about stars and space until I realized that you needed to do a whole lot of math and me and numbers aren't the best together.

I made the mistake of getting a telescope that I have to manually move. I read it's best to learn the night sky that way, etc... Well I SUCK at directions, so I should have known better. I've still found some really amazing things, but it takes me forever and DH isn't interested in astronomy at all. I hope to get a new telescope that will find and track things for me eventually. DS is only 3, but he loves pointing out stars and the moon, so I hope he'll like it with me!

Our announcement went great! We did it on April Fool's Day so a couple of people thought we were joking...
The hunger is UNREAL for me too! I swear I've gained five pounds already because I just cannot stop eating. If I get too hungry I get super sick and when I do eat, it feels like I can never get enough to eat. I've never had this before so it's confusing the heck out of me.

Also, when I've been pregnant before I always kind of wondered "Oh, what if it's twins?" but it's always a fleeting thought or just kind of something I'd think about in bed. But for some reason twins keep popping up in my head and I'm hoping this isn't some mommy intuition trying to tell me something. My first appointment isn't until next Friday, but I will get an ultrasound, so we will know if "there are two of them bouncing around in there" as my husband said last night.

@kecoff01 I made the ultrasound tech triple check for twins! I think DH would have passed out if there were 2. Luckily there was just one in there. And I will probably have them double check again when I go in for my ultrasound next week.

@kbrown2385 if I don't eat the instant I feel hunger, I am insanely nauseous. I had to run into our breakroom at 9:30 this morning and get a bag of bbq chips because I was desperately trying to not throw up. Sure fire way to give away I'm pregnant to the office.
