I apparently caught the cold my husband brought home over a week ago, and has already gotten over. I guess I'm not immune after all. So I spent all night coughing off and on for a "tickle" in my throat, which my throat and lungs feel not exactly sore, but not normal either. Also my stomach and abdomen is sore from the coughing, lol. I feel fine otherwise. If only being "sick" could get me out of going to Easter dinner tomorrow.
Edited to add: I got my Tula FTG yesterday and it's freaking adorable! I'll torture my cat later by stuffing her in it and see how it feels with some weight in it, but it fit nice and comfy.
I ended up getting sick last night on or last day of vacation. I'm congested to where I can't breathe at all through my nose, and my sinuses are swollen and dripping. No sleep last night is making for a really rough day. DH helped me get packed up, but we have to check out in an hour, and then I just get to suffer while waiting for our flight home tonight. It's already a long day, and just getting started.

@neeraja_k do you have reflux at all? Apparently that can make your cough worse. That’s what happened to me when I was dealing with allergies.
AFM going to see The Waitress today with my mom. I think DH is going to take DS grocery shopping while I’m gone. I need to put stuff in his eggs for the hunt tomorrow.... And we’re having family over for dinner on Monday, so I guess we need to clean the house. I pulled something in my groin area so DH will probably end up doing most of that, too I sure have been worthless this pregnancy. Well, other than the growing a baby part. At least I’m doing something
Add me to being mostly worthless. Although yesterday we went to a fun park for 2 hours, out to lunch, then I went to Academy and the grocery store. My feet are so sore today which makes me feel pathetic and reminds me why I’m worthless. My in laws are coming over soon to dye eggs and my MIL is all excited to dye eggs with DS. She’s probably going to be really disappointed because DS isn’t really into art stuff and is probably not going to want to do it at all. She’s also excited because she has stickers for the eggs. I didn’t have the heart to tell her he hates stickers. I guess she’ll figure that out today.
Grocery shopped and did a bunch of cleaning before heading to yoga here soon. Then family is all coming in town this afternoon. My dad is going to help me install my new over the range microwave later today. Hope i have enough energy after yoga, but i know i can't go to it the next 2 Saturdays so feel like i have to go today!
@derbysquirrel being sick in the airport is the worst! At least it was the last day and not the first or second? Sorry you feel so bad.
@neeraja_k what @lalala2004 said! Sometimes my reflux stirs up asthma. Feel better soon!
As for me...I have had this weird off and on pain in my vagina-ish area since last night. Half wondering if it's because I just need to have a huge awesome poop and half wondering if it's something ominous. I happened to notice my cervix length at my AS yesterday was 2.6 cm, which, from having friends with cervix issues, I know is on the shorter side of "normal" so I have been an anxious mess. I'm sure I'm probably worried over nothing as the pain is not getting worse, it's just annoying and intermittent. But pregnancy is such a mind F.
Also annoyed that my MIL keeps calling to ask DS if the baby is a boy or girl. Not her business until the reveal, damn it. Speaking of, I need to go clean the layers of filth in my house so we can have our Easter lunch and reveal tomorrow.
DH is at work today. I had DS carry DH’s tools down to the basement. Then I cleaned up the rest of the mess from the mostly-done laundry room remodel. Now we’re eating before DS’s soccer practice. I’m going to drop him off and run to the store to get candy for in the Easter eggs. When DH gets home we’re going to Home Depot to get stuff to hook up the new sink. Sometime I have to make strawberry pies for our two family dinners tomorrow, and I promised DS we’d make cookies too.
I went to Target this morning and bought DS and baby some clothes while DS and DH did a dump run and yard work.
Ita nice out this afternoon and i and I really need to clean my car but I’m in the recliner eating a sandwich because I’m sore from walking around haha
I have my final home game for the sports team I manage today and a fundraising telethon after that. I’m glad their season is wrapping up and my extra time that goes to them can now go towards baby stuff! But the weather will be perfect to be outside all day. I also need to find time to make a carrot cake cheesecake at some point when I get home before tomorrow, so it might be a late night here.
DH and I had a date night last night, which was nice because it was actually the anniversary of when we started dating! Geez, 11 years! Today we ventured to Old Navy so he could get clothes for his new job and I’m pushing my regular clothes to their limit! Super excited because this baby’s nickname is Banana (thanks to DS) and I found a banana shirt! (pic in spoiler)
I really hate working weekends on days like this because it’s finally nice out and I need to force myself to sleep before work.
Finally home. It was nice to see the family, but oh my god, am I enjoying the quiet.
My nieces were adorable, as always, and the older boys were fine, but one of my younger nephews has been acting out a lot, and the closer I watched, the more his behaviors became concerning (like trying to get our dog to smash his head into a glass door or kicking his younger cousin for no reason and showing no remorse). It made me and DH feel a little wary to bring our new baby around him. My BIL and SIL have been having a lot of trouble with him at school and at first I thought maybe his teacher wasn't challenging him enough, but there may be more to the story. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to overstep, but it was relief to hear that my husband agreed with me and I wasn't just reading too much into it.

@neeraja_k laughing at the image of you stuffing your cat in your new carrier.
H’s family is all over from England, so we’ve been super busy. Heading to a football (soccer) game later. For the past 30 minutes I’ve been lamenting all of the concerts I’m missing out on in the next few months that I want to see. Most specifically, JT and Jack White. Could see Jack at a festival two hours away this summer. But, an outdoor festival at 7 months pregnant? I’m not sure I’m that desperate.
And JT is when baby will be 4 weeks old (if born around due date). And it’s an hour and a half away. I can’t handle concert pumping that early on. Oooooooh well. FWPs.
I'm afraid that my sudden onset cold is actually the flu. I'm achy all over, and warm even though I've taken two doses of Tylenol this morning. I don't have many options other than to fly home and try to get to urgent care tonight. I feel awful, and I hate that I'm about to expose a plane full of people to whatever I have! I can't very well just hang out in Orlando for the next few days until I'm no longer contagious, so I think I'm out of options

It is Easter weekend in Wisconsin. Nice April Fools joke Mother Nature! Easter Egg hunt this morning in the snow and brunch tomorrow. It was 50 degrees two days ago!
This morning DD went to the gym with DH so I laid on the couch and watched gone with the wind (my fav movie) then posted some clothes on eBay before taking DD to a local Easter egg hunt, unfortunately we were a couple minutes late and all the eggs were already found so of course there was a melt down but then she saw the playground and all was good again! The picture was taken before we found out the eggs were gone, she was running to the field
@derbysquirrel omg that sucks!!!! I can’t imagine plane travel with the flu how awful. Maybe see if you can get a face mask?
Back in feb I had a bad haircut, she cut my top layers too short or something and finally today was my next appt. I felt so bad saying something bc she seemed like she felt terrible!!! But I’m much happier!
We took DS to get his first bike and helmet today for his birthday. At first he was nervous and then they brought up a red bike and he was hooked! Adorable. I teared up as proud mama of my big boy! Otherwise it’s been a lazy day. We have Easter lunch at my inlaws tomorrow and the Easter bunny has instructions to hide all treats all over the house. It’s too cold for an outdoor hunt tomorrow so we are hiding all the eggs inside tonight after he sleeps.
@neeraja_k we totally put our cat in everything: baby snow suit, a onesie, and the mamaroo, to name a few things. I hope you feel better!
@mrs_drc_rn We are twinning on the anniversary- H and I started dating 3/30 but in 2005 so we just hit 13 years yesterday. Married for 7 but you bet I count all those years I've **TMI** had the same penis.
@F47 I totally feel you on the concerts. We’re seeing Sugarland in June, so I’ll be 32 weeks, but because we are in the VIP section (first time ever and I’m sooooo excited) I bet we won’t be sitting much.
My mom and I have tickets for Shania Twain’s new tour that happens to be 5 days before I’m due. I’m not thinking I’ll make that one, unless DH wants to handle 2 kids on his own when baby is like 3 weeks old (because I’m delivering at 36/37 weeks). I’m a bit sad because I looooved her growing up, but I’d rather miss her than Sugarland.
@hoodwink89 haha that’s how Colorado always was when I was growing up. Nice and warm leading up to Easter, snow the day before or morning of!

This morning we went to an Easter egg hunt put on by our city. It was pure chaos. I haaaaate how parents go in with their 0-3 year olds and get all competitive scooping up all the eggs. DS only got a few because of that. It was fun though, and he got a few pieces of candy so he’s happy. It was hot AF though (80+ today) and in the hot sun without bringing any water, I started to feel miserable. Still have a headache even after caffeine and lots of water. But! My belly has totally popped again and man I look pregnant! Family pic for example.

Hi ladies! Busy day here! SIL is visiting, so got up and made breakfast. Went to the car dealership and picked up our new car!!!!!! Dyed Easter eggs, her and I ran errands while DS napped, early dinner at my favorite BBQ place and now home watching basketball! Big news - DS went #1 and #2 on the potty tonight! He’s only done #1 a few times and hasn’t shown much interest overall. This past week he’s been showing more signs, so FX we’re heading in the right direction!
snuggling with my boys right now watching ‘rise of the guardians’ (which I really love) bc easter bunny!
the excitement for easter hit a breaking g point around 5, when my 7yo was just subbing because... no idea. The holiday buildup with kids this age is NO JOKE.
A non-complaint (I know I've been whiney this weekend)- DH and are taking a little day trip as a mini-babymoon tomorrow. I'm super excited to just have free time tomorrow.

@lolog531 that’s awesome about your DS! Mine has yet to go #2 in the toilet. He waits for his nap when he gets a diaper or goes in the morning first thing when he still has a diaper.
We had family over all day yesterday. Today we’re just laying low with our little family.
I was awake from about 3-5:30 am. Thanks insomnia and leg pain. DS had fun finding all the eggs hidden around the living room and has eaten about 8 tootsie pops for breakfast. Meh. Later we head to the inlaws and then I need to start cleaning for my family who arrives later in the week. I hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday!
@ecwk we went with the new GMC Terrain! They were having crazy deals we couldn’t pass up and we loved it when we test drove it.
@amac12999 I was honestly shocked when he did it yesterday! He typically does first thing in the morning, too, with a diaper still on. I’m hoping this is a step in the right direction! My ultimate goal is to NOT have 2 in diapers!
So it actually does say "ICE ICE," but boobs/belly ate the 2nd ICE.
I'm hanging at my Dad's this weekend. He's not in the greatest health, but he seems to be feeling a lot better than he has been, so it's been an excellent visit. He actually cooked dinner last night, hence the bump being super extra.
@ecwk it doesn’t have the 3rd row. It was a drawback, but DH and I decided we probably would be needing it more once DS was in school/sports with carpooling and what not, which is a few years away. Our families both live a few hours away, so very rarely so we have more than just us in the car. We decided that in a few years when our other car will need replacing we would look more into the 3rd row. We didn’t test drive an Acadia, but The new ones look super nice!!
