My 16th birthday fell on Thanksgiving, so I couldn't get my license until the Monday after. But my parents took me on my first trip to NYC over that week instead, so I wasn't totally sad. But I'd always have to do my birthday parties a weekend before or a weekend after since people would go out of town to visit family. I have a milestone birthday this year and I want to do something awesome with a few friends but I need to figure out when to do it for the same reason. At least it doesn't fall on Thanksgiving this year.
