anyone else’s skin acting up? I got out of the shower today and had raised blotches everywhere. Luckily I had an appointment scheduled for this morning. The nurse had not clue what it was but thought it was probably an allergic reaction. She’s not worried. I am, lol. Any ideas!

Symptoms thread, bro!
Thanks for the redirect - since this is not a symptom of pregnancy, but a medical malady that could impact it, I thought it was a a unique thread. Please understand that hierarchizing knowledge/data is not always intuititve and is never universal. We each identify a set of schemas, some of which are agreed upon, and then elaboration can be independent. I'd be worried if we all categorized the world in the same way - it would make for quite a dull one!
I also don't understand all the undue stress about keeping a "neat and tidy" board. These forums were made so that people can ask questions respectfully and without reprimand. Ushering ladies who have medical questions away form one another in the form of chastizing for the sake of saving server space you aren't even paying for or maintaining smacks of a special sort of predatory pretention that I'm uninterested in continuing.
If you don't want to read this particular threat, no one is forcing you to click on it.
Please don't call me "bro" - its not a label I assigned myself and therefore failry disrespectful.
Thank you for your coniseration.

Wow, them there's a lot of big words!
1. When you're pregnant, everything is a symptom of pregnancy. I had a retinal hemorrhage during my last pregnancy. Seemingly completely random, but it was a pregnancy symptom. Weird!
2. Board organization, or as you called it, "hierarchizing knowledge/data," is clearly laid out in the Board Organization thread. You obviously didn't read it, that's why we kindly referred you there.
3. If you stick around, you'll find out exactly why there's a need for board organization.
4. If you're "uninterested in continuing," that's your choice, but there's really no need to make a big show out of leaving.
5. I'm sorry you were offended by that endearing term of brotherhood.... Buuuuut, how was I supposed to know it's "not a label" you "assigned" yourself?" For all I know, you could call yourself the Brofessor Hans Brolo, which would be a pretty cool nickname.
Just take a deep breath. Don't be offended by every little thing. There are some pretty awesome ladies here so far, so stick around. It's gonna be a fun ride!

I took your advise and took a deep breath before replying. I'm not offended by everything. Far from it - I was trying to be respectful and I don't appreciate your snarky response. Making fun of the way I talk and then creating a line by line condemnation of my personal views is not helpful, nor is it part of the supportive enviornment you tout. I did read the "read me first" - I just felt that this was a different topic. I dont see anyone jumping all over the lady who asked if anyone had hypothyroidism - is that now also a symptom of pregnancy?
I stated that I was uninterested in continuing your grandstanding, not being a member of the board. I ask that you please be respectful of other ladies seeking support instead of sniping at them. None of us need the added stress.
And finally, it is offensive to call someone by a gendered term to which they don't ascribe. If you'd like further resources regarding this, please feel free to reach out.
Because the internet does not convey tone, please know that all of this is said respectfully and I'd appreciate it if you could kindly cease any future negative talk. Whats the point of this place if not to reach out and seek positive communication?
thank you and best wishes,
Serah

ETA: Also I'm pretty sure the hypothyroidism thing is a separate and/or preexisting issue and is a little more unique than just a random rash. As I said, that sucks you got a rash, but it's similar to making a post, "I got the flu, does anyone else?" Like that sucks, but really doesn't need it's own post.
ETA x2: Also pretty sure no one is trying to be negative except for you saying we are.

That being said, having now read the plethora of replies, I will discontinue creation of any future individual questions. I see that community consensus is to stovepipe questions - which I will do in the future. Maybe you will all take your own advice in the future and take a breath before bounding at any chance to pounce on a stressed mom-to-be.

Lurking from O18 to say: you're in for a rough ride on TB if you can't handle snark. I've been a part of this site for years and have many close relationships from women I met here, but there's board organization for a reason. If you want to be a part of your BMB, you might want to get used to it AND the snark. Snark is much more accepted around here than preachy responses.
