Re: New mom check-in....3/8

  • @crossfitbabybump isn’t it amazing what an adjustment will do? Declan got adjusted at 3 hours old and started eating better.

  • @slr1229 amen to the hemmroids going away. I have never had them before and had one before birth that is now crazy huge and uncomfortable.

  • One of my feet is puffy and I still don’t quite have an urge to pee- I just make myself go a few times a day when it seems like I should. Anyone else on either of these? I haven’t had either of these things with my other two pregnancies.

  • @megpeg Did you have a catheter in for a long time? Mine was in awhile because my long induction turned into a c section and after it came out it took me days to feel the urge to pee. It was so weird — no leaking, but I would have to force myself to go to the bathroom but a ton of pee came out every time like I had been holding it in but I had no idea I was holding it in. Slowly I got the urge back days later and now it’s totally normal. I hope it’s something similarly temporary for you! If it’s been over 4 or 5 days I’d call my OB just to get some reassurance that there is not nerve damage or something.
  • @StephBrim24 no catheter. I am wondering if it is partially from the hemmmroids I have and that I am somewhat more focused on that feeling.

  • @StephBrim24 wow you totally nailed it! This too shall pass!

@megpeg - yes! That was the best sleep I’ve gotten in a few weeks because she was fed and had pooped so I wasn’t up with a fussy baby!

This is where I'm at... but only had a catheter I'm because I couldn't feel the urge to pee and was a faint risk...i also make myself go and usually pee a lot. I am slowly feeling the urge to go again. @megpeg
  • @crossfitbabybump - I get like that around my husband after babies and it’s almost like I miss him more when he’s home. Like he’s so close to me but things in our relationship are changing so fast and I’m mourning the rhythm we used to have. Even if logically I know we’re doing fine and survival mode with a baby only lasts so long and there’s nothing even wrong with our relationship. It’s just different and change feels hard.
You totally nailed how I'm feeling today. My husband has been home all week and we are so close yet so far away and I miss him. It's weird to explain and experinece.
  • I just started feeling things more today- my hemmroids have gone way down so I think that may have been causing it.

  • How long do the roids typically hang around?  It’s beautiful weather down here in Texas and want to go walk soo bad but just can’t get myself to yet.
  • @slr1229 I hope you get relief from your 'roids soon....I live in Dallas and we went for a walk today and it was super nice out! I am still 38+5 though, and know it's no treat to walk with hemorrhoids.
  • @ashtuesday I was wondering about @cford08 too
