When are you due? 11/2 according to LMP, but I think according to O it will be 10/30.

How far along are you? 5w6d

How are you feeling? Okay. This morning I had an episode of morning sickness that came on like a wave. I am a gastric bypass patient, so I am unable to throw-up. (I probably could, but it will be so much more painful because my insides are rearranged.) Because of this, I am terrified of throwing up and had to stop dead in my tracks this morning to hope that it went away. I have an appointment with my Bariatric Dr. next week so I am going to ask for any tips/tricks to hopefully not but I'm thinking it might be inevitable.

When is your first/next appointment/ultrasound? March 20th, which seems so far away!!!

How far along are you? 5w1d

How are you feeling? I feel tired and have had a few headaches, but other than that no overwhelming symptoms. With prior pregnancies, my MS has typically hit around the end of week 5.

When is your first/next appointment/ultrasound? 3/21 is my next official appointment when they will do the first sono. I've been a frequent caller to the nurse line though, probably their most annoying patient this week.

Any questions or concerns? *TW (bleeding mentioned)* I've been plagued with a bit of bleeding. More than spotting, but not enough to fill a pad. Today is the 3rd time it has happened since last Thursday. I've had a few blood draws, but there isn't much else they can do because I'm still so early. I'm waiting to hear back yet again to figure out if I should keep notifying my OB when this happens or just wait it out for my 3/21 appt. *End TW*

GTKY: What do you do for work? I work a financial position for a publicly-traded company pretty much full-time. I cut back a few hours after having my son to be more flexible with their school hours. I also have two side jobs.

The nausea kicked up bad a couple days ago. I’ve had relentless insomnia since I got my BFP, so, sick and tired.

When are you due? Per lmp 11/1. Haven’t had an ultrasound yet but I’m hoping it stays there.

How far along are you? 6 weeks today!

How are you feeling? Tired and sore. Had to lug a generator through the snow last night when we lost power. Hubby was working some serious OT so, I had to do it. Of course I couldn’t get it to work, so we went to bed. Thankfully it was bedtime. Had some pink spotting but I think it was from the sex hubs and I had the night before. It’s gone now!

When is your first/next appointment/ultrasound? Went for more blood work yesterday morning. Once I get the results back (hopefully later today) I can schedule my dating ultrasound and 1st prenatal appointment.

Any questions or concerns? Just wishing I can get answers today. The wait is killing me. Previous result was 629.5 at 5 weeks which was 20dpo. Just hope the numbers did their thing and grew. I’m so worried about having another loss, it’s scaring me.

Any questions or concerns? I had a pretty bad stomach bug hit on Tuesday, I was alternating vomiting and diarrhea for hours and ended up blacking out while I was helping teach a class. They called 911 and the ambulance came and i went to the ER. They ran a bunch of tests but everything came back normal, I ended up just getting a couple bags of fluids and anti nausea meds. After sleeping pretty much all day yesterday I am feeling better today. My ob office doesn’t think there is any need to come in, so hopefully everything is fine with baby!

GTKY: What do you do for work? I work from home as an auditor for a financial company

@tessiesmom26 Do you mean you literally cannot vomit or it would just cause a lot of problems and could be dangerous?
@wannaflickone FX for good results from the blood draw. I call the nurse all the time too! It's what they're there for!

How are you feeling? Not too bad. A little queasy in the mornings, but it always clears up by the time I eat lunch. Tired (falling asleep by 9, but often up a few times in the MOTN to pee), cranky, and bloated. My digestive system is moving so sloooooowly it's awful. I'm already putting benefiber in my water every day.

When are you due? Nov 5 per ovulation date -- I didn't ovulate until CD21 so I really hope they try not to go based off of LMP b/c that'd be a whole weeks difference.

How are you feeling? So good that it worries me

Any questions or concerns? Mostly just feeling really good. This is my 6th pregnancy, but will be our 4th child if everything goes well. I know I have felt good early on before, but I always get inside my head when I feel 100% normal. I mean, just a little bloat would even help me feel like something is going on in there.

GTKY: What do you do for work? Former teacher, but have been a SAHM since my first child was born in 2012.

@lifesabeach85 I don't think I am physically able to. A couple months ago I had something stuck and went to the ER and the Dr there said that many bypass patients can't physically throw up. Whenever I have felt sick I have gotten what is called "foamies" *TMI warning* which is basically just thick spit, like the type you get right before vomiting.*End TMI*. I am going to ask though to be sure at my appointment next week.

Pretty good - fatigue has hit me though. I am exhausted and in disbelief that I could be this tired this early on.

I hate waiting this long for a first appointment - but the next few appointments will seem quicker.

I am a radiologic technologist.
I am contacting HR this week to order a fetal radiation monitor, but still not wanting to notify my supervisor just yet. It's a difficult situation for me - I prefer to keep my pregnancy quiet for a few months - so I have to tiptoe around to get the fetal monitor.

How are you feeling? Pretty good. I had bad gas but that has went away. My boobs hurt terribly first thing in the am and sleeping has been a struggle but so far no nausea and no fatigue yet.

Thanks for posting @tessiesmom26! Being that this is my first time being pregnant - it's really interesting and comforting to see what others at the same stage are going through.

When are you due? 11/2 per LMP

How far along are you? 5 weeks 7 days!

How are you feeling? Better than the past 2 weeks, more energy. Still taking a nap in the afternoons when I can but I increased my thyroid medication and that seems to have helped. A little nausea the past 2 days but not too dramatic just a wave of it every once in a while, not even close to throwing up bad though. Haven't had any cramping in the past few days, boobs still sore.

When is your first/next appointment/ultrasound? March 19th

Any questions or concerns? I am so curious about the sex of the baby (this is going to be a long 14 weeks if I have to wait that long!!). I looked into this sneak peek home blood test but I think I'd be too squeamish to collect my own blood. Does anyone have a guess what they are having yet?

GTKY: What do you do for work? I work in sales for a large manufacturing company. I work from home and go to my customers and projects a couple days a week. This is my first pregnancy so I am contemplating what I will do after maternity leave, my schedule is very flexible but I will need to figure something out if I am going to continue to work full time. Maybe a part time nanny or something, kind of overwhelming to think about! Companies should really give you a year off after a baby, that would make the choice of what to do easier.

How are you feeling? Exhauated and ravenous! I was nauseous all last week, but now it’s juat from time to time, and instead I’m insatiably hungry. And my boob...ouch.

How are you feeling? Great!! It’s a little scary how good I feel. Morning sickness usually hits me at week 6-8 and hangs on throughout the second trimester. Hoping this pregnancy is different!
When is your first/next appointment? I will have follow blood work Monday for my hcg and progesterone (taking oral progesterone)
Any questions or concerns? No just ready for the ultrasound to see the heartbeat (hopefully around 8 weeks)

How are you feeling? I've been pretty queasy in the mornings and tired; very sensitive to bad smells, particularly garlic; worst symptom by far is sore boobs. I also have a lot of anxiety about something going wrong, which I am trying to manage with meditation.

@troystory17 It's so nice that there is another RNY patient here! I had mine a year ago, so still relatively new. I've been trying to decipher the cramps almost daily as to if they are gastric related or baby related. They have been gastric related though so far. Also, we have the same date for our next appt/ U/S!

@tessiesmom26 mine was almost 4 years ago, and I got pregnant about a year after as well. I don't ever really get cramps, but i'm often nauseous baby or not (well if i eat too much/fast anyway) My daughter was perfectly healthy just a little on the small side at 5lb 14oz. The 20th cant come soon enough I'm so excited to see baby!

Pretty good now. Went to the ER for severe cramps/backaches and dizziness. OB said she was concerned about ectopic. Had every test done and they all came back great. Basically said I'm pregnant so go home and rest lol. I'm glad I went in because they next day the symptoms were even worse and I would have been convinced I was having a miscarriage. I'm cash pay so that was a very expensive peace of mind ER trip

How are you feeling?

I was so incredibly nervous about something going wrong. But we have had some reassurance so that's a little better. So now just super nervous haha. Also exhausted, finding it hard to get through a work day. And so much bloat. Oh and the food aversions. Oh my. Nothing is appealing usually.

When is your first/next appointment/ultrasound?
We had an emergency early US yesterday to rule out ectopic. And I and THRILLED to say, we have a beautiful sac, well positoned and implanted! So the next appt won't be until 12 weeks

Any questions or concerns?
So many. First time mom (hopefully). I'm pretty much petrified of every twinge. Is anyone else thirsty ALL the time?! Are any of you getting intermittent cramps? How do you make it through a work day with the exhaustion? How do you LEARN everything you need to?! There is so much about products and when to do things, and how to do things.... It's overwhelming! How do I get though the next 35 weeks, terrified something will go wrong. Especially the next 6.5. Does anyone have any tips for dealing with the fear after a loss?

@babybrain2018 welcome! So glad you are here! Congratulations on a great first US! I am getting intermittent cramps and am nervous with every weird feeling, but trying to remain positive. I think it is natural to feel nervous and overwhelmed. With my first, I read so many books to calm my nerves and talked to whoever would offer advice. That helped calm my nerves. Of course, my first baby was nothing like the books described and definitely fell into the “spirited” category, so all my best laid plans went awry. You will be able to find lots of support here and may want to get involved the the PGAL thread since I believe you mentioned a loss in your intro. Glad to meet you!

My research suggests the cramps can be due to the uterus stretching. Have you had a chance to ask a doctor about it by any chance?

@babybrain2018 What to Expect When You're Expecting is a classic pregnancy book that I really liked. My favorite book about baby products is Baby Bargains. They score all different types of products based on price, safety, and several other factors. Highly recommend it! For now, just try to remember to take it one day at a time. There's no way to learn everything right away, so just take care of yourself for now and the rest will come later.

@offtoneverland awesome thank you! I was looking at what to expect.. but wanted some real life suggestions about it since reviews seemed so mixed. But now I will go pick it up! And I'll look into baby bargins as well! We are very much about safety, so it will be great to have those comparisons!
I admit, I've always been bad about taking care of myself. Usually everyone else is my priority. But now I have a tiny human who needs me to take care of myself!

How far along are you? 6 weeks and 1 day in a couple minutes!

How are you feeling? Terribly crampy, fatigued, bloated, constipated and thirsty. I feel like I got punched in the stomach and it's now reaching my back, too. Blecchhh.

When is your first/next appointment/ultrasound? March 27th is my first appointment!

Any questions or concerns? Considering an early ultrasound around 8-10 weeks due to this weird pain and history of fibroids. A quite large one grew during my last pregnancy with my son and I had no complications then, but my midwife recommended I get checked out before conceiving again. I didn't get around to doing that. This achy pain is really worrying me, but I'm hoping it's just muscle memory springing into action and not something worse. Do any of you STMs out there have worse pains in early pregnancy due to your body knowing the drill?

GTKY: What do you do for work? I occasionally take on sample knitting projects from a local designer but it can be competitive and I don't have a load of free time.

@babybrain2018 I was the same way with my first, still nervous with my second! Intermittent cramps, thirst, fatigue and all that are totally normal and are actually great signs! Books definitely help, as well as writing down any and all questions you want to ask your doctor/midwife/birth team! I had to bring a list to every appointment because my pregnancy brain would always forget.

I also took a very helpful birth class that covered all the big stuff, so I felt more confident by the time I went into labor. If you have any local resources for classes or groups, that can help a ton.

*TW* My first pregnancy also turned into a loss and I had a very difficult time dealing with the pregnancy of my DS after. I'm still nervous with baby #2, but I do believe it helps to be positive and remind yourself that every pregnancy is different. With every appointment and every successful pregnancy-symptom-filled day that goes by I hope you have more peace and confidence in this pregnancy!!

How are you feeling? Queasy but mostly after taking prenatal vitamin which I switched to evenings... or if I overeat. I get tired easily too but I have two toddlers so I feel like tiredness is a part of life anyway - haha
