Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Friday 3/9

This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

  • @fantasyflyte Hopefully it will be an interesting case at least! I'm with you, I love Michelle Obama. I think she's so classy and another Jackie O!
  • @meladams10 FX for your H's SA, and your HSG! Have you had a HSG done before?
@fantasyflyte Hope your jury duty goes fast! I have actually never done jury duty before!

    Month/Cycle:
    3/3

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, CP, OPK, PN

R/R: Rave: I did like...5 loads of laundry yesterday, and it feels good. Haha! Another rave, we were kind of behind in some rent, and I was finally able to pay that this morning since we got paid, so that bit of weight on my shoulders feel better.
Oh! And this isn't really a rave or a rant..maybe a rant, but on Tuesday night, a car flipped outside our house. (kid is okay, he got out and just had a banged up mouth) He ran into our neighbors jeep that was parked on the side of the road (most of the car was in the grass, so it totally wasn't their fault). The kid must have caught the jeep perfect, and drove up the jeep and flipped. It pushed the jeep into our mailbox and therefore...we have no mailbox now, it was demolished (made of brick). We had to go get the post office to hold our mail, and now we are waiting for our landlord to clean it up and put up a new box. I hate having to go to the post office to get our mail. And we live in a tiny town, and they have weird hours. They actually close for an hour and a half for lunch. Photo in spoiler if you are interested.

CS/Q: It's boring, but here it is. I thought it was cool that my temp has been pretty much the same the last few days. Usually it looks like mountains.

GTKY: If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, living or dead, who would they be? J.R.R Tolkien, Jason Mamoa, Jennifer Lawrence, and Dave Ramsey. This would be a weird gathering.

  • @Whitmore1027 No, I've never had an HSG done before. I'm scared! Yay for getting some bills paid. I always say, adulting is not fun! I hope your mailbox gets fixed soon. Wow, I'm glad that kid was okay! So scary! I'm with you on JLaw. I just love her! She's so funny!!
  • @meladams10 I have had an HSG done, and it's not too bad! You will fill just a bit of cramping during it, and it will cramp the whole time the dye is going through your uterus and tubes. Take some pain meds about 30 minutes before the procedure, and that should help! I was nervous too, so I totally get it! Adulting is SO not fun. I just went through all my bills I need to pay today, and we will get back down to only $100. <cries> It's okay though, we have another check coming through on Monday (hopefully), and I start my part time job soon. Boy we are BROKE BROKE BROKE!! And yes, that poor kid! He was in shock, shaking like crazy! He was worried about the car, and I was like "DUDE, you are alive and well. It's just a car! All that matters is that you are okay!"

  • @Whitmore1027 Oh good! I'm glad to hear it wasn't too bad for you. Everything I look up on the internet makes it sound pretty terrifying. I typically have medium cramps anyway so I hope I handle it well. I'm definitely going to ask for something to ease my anxiety and pain! I suppose it's worth it all since it will likely provide answers. I've read it can help with conception, I hope that's true! Money is so stressful!! I'm glad your PT job starts soon, that will help a lot I'm sure! Can't we just hit the lottery?!
  • @wishiwaspreggo Yay! Another HSG non horror story! You're right, the stuff on the internet is terrifying! What a fun coloring book! HAHA! I love it! Okay Sarah Paulson... I love her! I love American Horror Story! I think my favorite seasons were Asylum and Murder House!
  • @wishiwaspreggo From where the car is, which is right near the jeep, I don't think he was going fast at all. There is no skid marks and we didn't hear anything until the car flipped. I feel like if he was going fast, his car would have been further down the street, or in the ditch. Our street is VERY dark, there are no lights at all, and the jeep is a dark green so it was probably hard to see. If I could guess, he may have been on his phone and was just too close to the edge of the street. OMG that coloring book is the best!!! Hahaha!!

  • @meladams10 Yay another AHS fan!!!!! I thought I was alone in the world :) I love the show and I especially love Sarah Paulson. She always plays my favorite characters. And she's just a funny person when she's not acting, like in interviews and such. I imagine she'd be a lot of fun to hang out with. I've seen Jon Stewart and Margaret Cho perform comedy and I nearly passed out from laughing so hard. They're hysterical. And I just love Ben Folds' music. He's a classically trained pianist and his song-writing is amazing. Some of his songs make me laugh and others make me cry. I'd love to get to know him.
  • rosebud332 My CD also matches and I love it! So easy to remember what CD I am!! Great choices of people to meet!
  • @dragonette505 Right?? How do we get through those teenage years?! lol! I love the idea of the different ancestors from different ages!! That's so cool!
@rosebud332 YES to Jason M. My H would be the same, but he wouldn't blame me at all. He appreciates Jason's looks. Hahaha!

@eleven_ Yay for a hair appt!! I love them lol. I'm waiting on a call from my nurse with my progesterone test results so I may mention to her when she calls? I was super sad because I missed my early O :( My cycle is typically 28 days so I don't know what's going on.
@Kath525 UGH! So sorry you have to endure that torture :(
@catlady2015 Jane Austen... yes!! Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books!

  • @meladams10 I just wonder how accurate your progesterone results will be. You are supposed to take the test 7 days after a positive OPK. I would definitely tell her about your short cycle and ask how accurate your progesterone results are.
    @galactickates Yay for cute outfits!
@catlady2015 Good luck on finishing your project today! I love Jane Austen so much.

  • @eleven_ I got confirmation of O through BBT. I was discarding the temps because I thought they were just wonky but, I'm guessing I O'd since AF came :( I did do the test on CD20 which is what my OB suggested. It's all so frustrating.

Q: How do you all manage pregnant friends? One of my BFFs is pregnant with her 3rd.. after only having sex 3 times in a month mind you, and it's super hard :( I'm obviously excited for her because she wanted another baby, but it's hard to receive texts asking about baby names :( I don't really want to tell her it's hard, but she knows about I'm TTC and follows and asks me for updates everyday

  • @Whitmore1027 that's scary, I'm glad everyone was okay!

@wishiwaspreggo that page is awesome, I love it!

@dragonette505 wow, at least mine doesn't take everything away! That would have made waiting around even more boring. I was looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow too until I remembered that I scheduled bloodwork early.

@rosebud332 I miss warm sun. It's been cold and dreary here.

@eleven_ OMG I probably would have crashed my car!

@Kath525 sorry about your sister and eczema. The cake sounds fun, is it a class/occasion or just for fun?

@catlady2015 Friday is the best day to wrap up projects, then you're free over the weekend to relax!

@coco2787 ugh, sorry about CD1 and interrupted sleep. Yay for upcoming break though!

    @galactickates I'm glad today's better than yesterday!

@meri-mac sorry for the unsettled work atmosphere. I hope your long weekend is fun!

I've decided that today is going to be a good day - I got excused pretty early from my jury duty, and this morning's OPK finally started to show a light line! :D

I got my progesterone results back with a normal 22.5 I'm guessing this is a good level if it's normal. Any insight anyone?

@holly321 Thank you! I'm glad you got to go shopping! Did you get anything nice? I take a picture of my OPK strips to compare which has been so helpful! The instructions say not to read them after a certain period of time!
  • meri-mac OOO I love your picks too! Whenever I think of Rickman its as Snape telling Dumbledore his Patronus was still the same waaaaaaaaaaaa.... always gets me!
Stargazer1lily Ugh...sux the road was blocked!
holly321 The test should be looked at in the time limit (and I don't think ive ever noticed an OPK get darker after the time limit)... keeping them is really just for an reference. Did your test get darker?
  • @dragonette505 Harry Potter for life! I just started The Order of the Phoenix! :) I haven't watched The Goblet of Fire yet but I have it at home!
  • @meladams10 - I'm not the right person... I don't have many friends with kids but I unfortunately just suck it up when it does happen.  I'm really lucky that my few friends with kids are super sensitive to what I'm going through.  Have you shared at all about what you're going through? I think some people just need that communication. I bet she has no clue she is hurting you.  I think most people take what you say at face value. I bet she could be a good support system if she did know.  You might find their is more to her story. You never know?
