As stressful as my life has been, I had the best time at my going away party/shower last night. I couldn't believe how generous my co-workers were and it was fun having a first shower! I'm gonna miss them all so much but it felt so nice getting a last hurrah with my zoo crew. Also spent the day at work taking pictures with all my fav animals!! Included a very snuggly monitor for added cuteness!

MH had his review today and found out his bonus is going to be bangin'. Unfortunately it will go almost entirely to CC debt but the positive is that it is a card that we consolidated everything to last year that had 12 months interest free so we will get it paid off in the 12 months and not pay any interest. Then we will be in a better place monthly because all the payments we were making can go towards savings.

@LaceyBee522 I wouldn't call myself a herpetologist either but I love all I've learned about reptiles. I worked with 2 savanna monitors and a Burmese python and love them so much!! Most of my experience/knowledge is in carnivores so it was fun working with some completely different animals for a while.

Not only am I leaving early today, but we had a lunch and learn at work and my supervisor is on a restricted diet, so she sent me in her stead. Not only did I get to sample delicious Qdoba (which I love,) but they also gave everyone in attendance a free entree card for later. Baby and I are stuffed!

We spent the last 2 weeks transitioning DS from 2 to 1 naps, which has been surprisingly easy and as a result, he's been sleeeping until 6 or 6:30 (instead of 5am!!!). [insert praising hands emoji here]

For instance - I'm going to make myself eggs and toast (with nutella on top) for breakfast, and then buy an iced coffee on the way to my appointment this afternoon.

Some of my girlfriends took me to brunch for my birthday, and it was delicious! Also, MH is going to start a new job as a school principal. He’s been acting as an interim and realized he loves it. He’s been working at the central office and has been coming home from the school really energized the past few weeks, so he’s committing to continue next year. Things are still shitty with us, but I think this is a really good step.
Oh, and my math group is finishing up a fractions unit, so I made a mini project where they have to determine ingredient amounts by adding and simplifying, and then they get to measure it out and make muddy buddies Chex mix. FX it goes well, but I think they’ll love it.

Not only did my endocrinologist apt result in the good news of no more glucose tests. but for some reason everytime I go there, there's a credit and I don't owe a full copay. todays credit was $42.. copay is $40. so nothing due! not that 40 is much but who doesn't love saving money when we're always getting medical bills with the pregnancies!

So now I can just focus on our exams/tests, and the clinical outcome homework for my preceptorship.

@catlady1215 Saving $ is always a positive! I just found out that my insurance covered my NIPT from November. The bill was $7500 but my OB assured me that if denied by insurance, they would discount it to $99. Still, $99 I'm happy to have in my account! And yay to you for no more glucose tests!

Unrelated, my daffodils are starting to bloom. We had snow 10 days ago and its still cold and gray - but spring is coming!

For the first time in nearly a month, I have two days in a row with no meetings! All of this extra work time will allow me to get everything done at work instead of having to bring work home at night. Yippee!

Babymoon is booked! While we're not flying anywhere warm and sunny I am still excited to have a weekend away with MH. We're going to Duluth, MN which if you are familiar with you know it will likely still be cold and windy by the end of April but I got us a room with a giant soaking tub so I will just warm up in that.

I'm wondering how long beer will stay good in a growler. We went there last year so we have 4 growlers from different breweries that we could bring back and get refilled and I wonder if we didn't open it if I could save it for after baby is born about 6-8 weeks later.

Our big presentation for work went extremely well yesterday. We were presenting for a potential future customer and I already have serious anxiety when speaking, no matter how informal, but add the possibility of pregnancy brain and I was thinking oh damn. My group totally rocked it. We typically don't do stuff like this as we have a team dedicated to it, but they were out of town for a conference. Happily taking off my marketing hat and putting back on my pharmacist hat today
