How many weeks are you/baby's size? 34 weeks a butternut squash or a pineapple.
How are you feeling? I have this real sore spot in front of my diaphragm. I think it might be baby pushing on my ribs, but I am going to ask my on about it.
Any appointments this week? Yes, Thursday, a normal ob. I hope my growth is more on track this week, as I don't want to go back to maternal fetal medicine or to feel any added anxiety, but I guess the important thing is that the doctor and I are looking out for baby.
Rants/raves/questions? No
GTKY: what are you most nervous about with your upcoming delivery? I have this paranoid thought that I will drive somewhere next month, go into labor and I will have to have my husband pick me up and leave my car in some random city.
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 31 weeks small clawed otter
How are you feeling? pretty good but still exhausted.
Any appointments this week? nope
Rants/raves/questions? not right now
GTKY: what are you most nervous about with your upcoming delivery? that my babies head will be way to big. (my sister's baby was in the 90%) also not having my Dr there
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 33 weeks! Pineapple baby !
How are you feeling?
Headachey and tired, but can't complain otherwise. Kind anxious about driving when I'm this far along and the idea of an accident happening.
Any appointments this week?
Ended up at L&D last night for after DTD bleeding and lots of cramping. No sign of premature labor when all was said and done, but this FTM is definitely happy she went in just in case.
Rants/raves/questions? Has anyones eyesight gotten worse throughout their pregnancy? I wear contacts, and have horrible vision, but I swear it's gotten harder to see street signs and stuff since I've been pregnant. It's not sudden changes like pre-e symptoms, it's been just worse since I've been pregnant!
GTKY: what are you most nervous about with your upcoming delivery?
Everything about delivery as a FTM. But actually, not knowing when she's going to come and spontaneously going into labor at a clients house. Both my mom's labors were spontaneous (water breaking to baby I'm 3 hours or less). I guess not knowing what to expect.
@knuttyplus2 thank you! I brought it up with my doc the other day and he didn't seem to think it was pregnancy related. I've kind of read about why it *could* happen and wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing it
I am feeling large and uncomfortable. I almost cried when I got to work and our elevator was out of order--meaning I had to climb three flights of stairs to get to my office. I took several breaks and huffed and puffed my way up lol!
I have a normal checkup tomorrow--I think I get my TDAP booster, but that might be the 34 week appointment, not sure.
Major rant this week....we have a family acquaintance (wouldn't call her a friend) who just gave birth to her second drug addicted baby in 3 years. The first is being raised by his grandparents and this one will be taken by an aunt and uncle. She was supposedly in a program during this whole pregnancy and was staying clean, but when the baby was born a few weeks ago he tested positive for all sorts of crap. Just absolutely disgusts me. He has been in the hospital on methadone since he was born. The only "penalty" the mother is facing is that she won't be taking him home or be his guardian--no charges for child abuse or child endangerment or anything. Just absolutely infuriates me. I consider myself to be a "liberal" and definitely support a woman's right to choose what to do with her body, but cases like this make me feel more inclined to support forced sterilization. Ugh. There are so many women--many of you on this board--who have yearned to become mothers and we have ALL made sacrifices in our journey to become parents and this dipsh*t can't put down the needle for 9 months. Apologies for the strong language and the long post, but I just had to get this off my chest and thought I might find a sympathetic ear or two here.
As for what makes me most nervous about the delivery, I would have to say just all the unknowns. Since this is my first, I really have no idea what to expect in terms of pain, what contractions feel like, what it feels like to push, etc. etc. As a type-A and an obsessive planner, all the unknowns of this whole process have been a bit difficult to deal with. I am trying to "keep my eye on the prize" and visualize how it will feel the first time I hold my sweet boy and see his face. I know that will make everything 1000% "worth it." I am also focusing on how delicious my first bite of raw sushi in 9 months will taste lol!
@priestess619 I am sorry you had a scare. I have found for the last couple weeks that any sexual arousal has resulted in some seriously uncomfortable tightening of my uterus. I think my husband might be out of luck for some time. @luna8433 they say each labor gets shorter (on average) because your body had been through it before, so hopefully you have an abbreviated experience this time round.
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 33+4! She is as big as celery!
How are you feeling? Irritable, emotional and I have no patience what so ever.
Any appointments this week? Midwife appointment on Friday.
Rants/raves/questions? My hips and legs are sooooo painful at night time. I think it's sciatica because it's in my bum cheek! Sex is becoming less often it's uncomfortable and there is only so many ways to do it until you get bored
GTKY: what are you most nervous about with your upcoming delivery? I'm planning on having a home birth, so the idea of me having to go to hospital is a little unnerving. I obviously will if there are complications, but I will be very disappointed if I can't have my daughter in the comfort of our own home. I didn't like having my other two kids in hospital. It's my third so fingers crossed it should go a little smoother this time round.
@priestess619 my eye sight has always gotten worse with all three of my pregnancies. It's related to the hormonal change which makes sense. I wear my glasses more often now.
How are you feeling? Big, comfortable, tired, swollen feet and gassy!!
Any appointments this week? Tomorrow. Excited to hopefully see some more growth with Baby B.
Rants/raves/questions? Ready to be done with work in 2 weeks!!
GTKY: what are you most nervous about with your upcoming delivery? Just not knowing if it'll be a vaginal birth, c section or both!! Twins are so unpredictable!
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 34 weeks, squash
How are you feeling? Squashed! Haha
Any appointments this week? Yes, normal appointments, switching to every week in 2 weeks.
Rants/raves/questions? My husband got me a puppy for Christmas, she arrived two weeks ago. She's so sweet!
GTKY: what are you most nervous about with your upcoming delivery? I am the most nervous about not being in control of the situation if I have to be given sedation or pain medicine. Not being able to think straight or make decisions.
@knuttyplus2 are you on bed rest or taking time off in two weeks? I decided to leave my contract job next week and not renew so I can have some time off before my LO is here
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 32 almost 33 weeks. Squash How are you feeling? Tired of being pregnant, wish I could sleep on my stomach with no heartburn Any appointments this week? This past Tuesday. Rants/raves/questions?
GTKY: what are you most nervous about with your upcoming delivery? this one will be a repeat c section so I am a little nervous about that because last time I was pushing for three hours then had emergency c section, so I really don’t remembering much happening especially the epidural so I’m nervous about that.
@sarahkate2233. No bed rest yet, but will be induced at 36 weeks. Need a few days before that to get ready. Plus I don't think my work clothes will fit and I could use the break. I have an NST tomorrow, so stay tuned...a lot could change!!

@midnight-muse exactly what I've read, I was just surprised to have my doctor shoot the idea down so fast!
