Re: TWW TUES 2/20

  • Month/Cycle: 14/5

    Cycle Day/DPO: 40/10

    Timing: -5,-4,-2,-1,+1

    Typical LP length: 14-15

Testing: Negative today.  Won't test again till Thursday unless my temp rises

R/R: Had my appointment today to get a referral placed for OBGYN. She had no problems giving me the okay after reviewing my chart.  It was nice to not have to argue for once.  She didn't want to run any labs though which was a bummer, but i understood why.  She'd rather the OBs take care of all testing from here on out.  Apparently the OB clinic is reviewing my chart and will decide if I'm a case they can handle in house or if they want to refer me to an RE. I'm fine with either really.  Ugh... It's been a tough day.  Temp dropped a bit and my cervix is low and tilted like it does before AF. So crampy too...I think I'm just going to nap... lol

    CS/Q:

GTKY: In school I was in marching and  concert band, and I ran sprints in track. Outside of school I participated in Pony Club, and did eventing/dressage

  • Hi @josie12367! Sorry about your BFN. I'm glad you're getting ready to move on to OB or RE. Not that I want you there but if this isn't your cycle at least you can start getting some answers.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    Cycle Day/DPO: 21/5 (?)

    Timing:  not great

    Typical LP length: 12

    Testing: wfaf (lol.. maybe Sunday.)

R/R: Nothing exciting around here. I hit my knee really hard this morning and it's bruised already so that's annoying. and I woke up thinking it was Wednesday so that's double annoying.

    CS/Q: Nothing to see

GTKY: What activities were you involved in as a child/teenager?!
    I was a cheerleader from grade 7 until I was about 23.
My other activities included hanging out with boys, drinking in parks and trying to hide it from my parents and shopping ;)

  • @josie12367 Sorry about bfn. But I'm glad you had a good appointment with your ob.

@kristah2 We are cycle twins at the moment :) And drinking in the woods with boys was also a favorite activity of mine in high school. Here's hoping I can raise kids without them turning into a-holes like me. Haha

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

Cycle Day/DPO: 21/5 (estimated based on opk)

Timing: -1 due to illness :/

    Typical LP length: Not sure

    Testing: Still feeling strong!

R/R: Has anyone watched Electric Dreams on Amazon prime? It's like black mirror (apparently, I've never seen it), but super syfi which mh is into. Well we watched it and I had VERY weird dreams as a result.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What activities were you involved in as a child/teenager?!
As a kid, nothing official. I've never been athletic and it never occurred to me to be a Girl Scout or anything. As a teenager, generally being sullen was my main activity. And then work, which ended up being the best thing I could've done.

  • @rosebud332 yay for cycle buddies! I love to have one to keep me strong from testing. Also hoping I can avoid my kids from growing up to be too much like me in high school. I am mortified by the stuff that I thought was such a good idea back then.
  • @josie12367 So sorry for your bfn darling. Hope all goes well seeing an OB!
@kristah2 I wish it was Wednesday too. lol. Sorry about that knee! Drinking at the parks eh? I wanted to be "cool" like that but nope. I only drank with my family until I was 21.  :D Goody Goody here. But I am definitely not a goody goody anymore.
@rosebud332 I will totally be checking that show out! I LOVE Black Mirror (you should seriously watch it!). So it's it's similar, I know I would enjoy it.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    Cycle Day/DPO: 22/7

    Timing: -3. -2, 0, +1

    Typical LP length: 15

Testing: Eh who am I kidding. Tomorrow morning with H. If bfn, then I'll test Friday, then Sunday until AF shows. :D

R/R: Doesn't it suck when you know something is wrong with your body and people are like "oh it's just ___ your fine" and they aren't doctors? I'm sure ya'll understand. I am just mad because I am having so many symptoms of crap that, sure I can function and look fine, but it's just making life hard on me. Trying to explain it to H last night, and he just compared what I was going through to himself and blah blah blah. I've officially decided to just let it go and deal with it on my own. If people are going to think I am crazy then it's not worth it. I don't think anything is serious, but I am afraid I may have either anemia or hypothyroidism (both I have tested positive for in the past multiple times so it's totally not out of the realm of possibilities.) Either that or it's a Lupus Flare (which I don't really think that's what it is because it doesn't line up with my past flare symptoms). Plus the HORRIBLE back pain I have only in the AM is freaking me out because I googled crap and came back with inflammatory back pain. (since it is pain that is only at night/AM, get's better with movement, has lasted more than 3 months, and I fit the age group). I have had inflammatory joints, and headaches, so this is super possible too. But of course it could just be our mattress according to everyone else. So I DO SOUND CRAZY RIGHT? I have had a huge list of symptoms starting with those abdominal pains, then severe fatigue, cold all the time, joint pain, back pain, weight gain etc. So it makes sense no one believes me. Every day it's something new. That's why I don't like telling people. I wanna cry I am so confused. (My grandma believes me and she is the only one giving sweet selfless sympathy, she believes me and urges me to be seen by a doctor, and she texts me every morning to ask how I am feeling. SO SWEET!).

Ugh I feel bad, last few days I've done nothing but complain, which in all honesty is NOT me at all. But it's so nice to just get it out.

Raves: I am in a fairly upbeat mood so far today though. Trying to think about all the blessings I do have in my life. Remembering that things will work out, I just have to keep faith. We have our 2nd week of dog training classes tonight. I must remember to exercise him HARD before we go, because last week he was a basket case. lol I am thinking of sneaking away and getting a burger and tots today for lunch (we really shouldn't spend money on fast food, but boy to I feel like I need it!). H said that we need to save any moneys on donuts if we get that bfn tomorrow. Haha, I had totally forgotten we decided to get donuts if we get one. Then I said "can we still get donuts if it's a bfp?" and he said "you can have all the burgers and donuts you want". SCORE! :D

    CS/Q:

GTKY: What activities were you involved in as a child/teenager?! I have forever been the "trier of things" according to my aunt. I love trying and learning new things just to see if I excel at it. Haha. As a kid through now honestly, I have done; Karate, Gymnastics (lasted maybe a month), Dance (did that from high school through college), Tennis team in high school, Orchestra (from 7th grade - 11th grade), Flag girl in marching band (11th grade - 12th grade and in college), Western horseback riding, and Archery (longbow). I probably forgot something. But I love doing new things!! My husband is both impressed and jealous that I am not afraid to do them. I haven't really found anything I am amazing at, but I sure enjoy them.

@Whitmore1027 You are definitely not crazy but I do have some unsolicited advice.. Stop googling your symptoms. You will become crazy if you do. If you are having persistent pain / issues make an apt with your GP and bring in a list and go through everything with them (I do this so I don't leave and realize I forgot to tell them something then drive myself crazy thinking maybe it was a key piece to my diagnosis). If you keep looking to doctor google you may start to read too much into your symptoms or experience almost a phantom pain/problem. Your back could very well be due to your mattress. It could be muscle pain that is worse because you're laying down all night. It could be arthritis. It could be the way you're sleeping. It could be inflammatory back pain. But google will always make you think the worst possible thing and then you focus so much on the pain constantly it never really goes away. Book and apt with you GP.
ETA: it's always better to sound a little crazy and know you are okay then to leave it so you don't sound crazy and have something seriously wrong!
Also if you are worried about anemia try upping your iron or taking an iron supplement and see if you feel better! But if you think its thyroid GO GET CHECKED.
You only get one body in this life. Take care of it!!
  • @Whitmore1027 I'm a firm believer that only YOU know your body and when you're feeling "off." Yes, all of those symptoms are relatively common but all together something could be going on. I'm not a doctor by any means, but I would guess with something like Lupus you can't be too careful. If you feel like something's not right, there's nothing wrong with just getting checked out. If nothing's wrong, great! But at least your mind will be at ease. I do agree with @kristah2...step away from the google!
Also, you reminded me I was in the chorale in middle school. My one and only activity!

  • @kristah2 and @rosebud332 You are SUPER right. I really need to quit googling symptoms. I am so bad about it! I know I need some tough love haha. It's so hard not to. But I am done doing that. The only reason I have been hesitant to be seeing doctors is just out of pocket costs, BUT I just found out 30 minutes ago that if I see my Rheumatologist, it's only $130 for the visit plus labs (haha "only", but still less than I thought). SO I am going to make an appointment and I will try to not regret spending money on it. A Rheumy can check out my back, check thyroids, check for anemia, and Lupus crap. My prenatal has some iron, but I have no idea how much I would need if it is anemia. Thanks for the tough love ladies. And your right, even if it's nothing (which would be WEIRD if it isn't), at least I can move on. Trying to get through to make an appointment right now. <3<3<3

  • @Whitmore1027 GOOD! Make that apt. You should never regret spending money on your health. And to be honest - I hope you are crazy and that all these symptoms are just a weird occurrence of events and you're perfectly healthy. That would be the best outcome!
@oaklandava LOL at blaming H! I do that all the time!!

@Whitmore1027 I'm sorry people are driving you crazy! You are the only one who knows what you are feeling. Everyone else just needs to respect that. Complain all you like! We have all been there!

@josie12367 I'm sorry for your BFN. Sending all the good thoughts for the next one!

    Month/Cycle: 12/9

    Cycle Day/DPO: 29/12

    Timing: -1

    Typical LP length: 11/12 days

Testing: Only if AF doesn't show. She is scheduled for tomorrow.

R/R: Nothing really. Just trying not to get my hopes up, but also trying to stay positive. It is quite the balancing act.

    CS/Q: ???

GTKY: What activities were you involved in as a child/teenager?! I was involved in the school band from grades 7 to 12 and played fiddle on the side.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    Cycle Day/DPO: 21/5 (oh hey, @rosebud332 and @kristah2 )

    Timing: -5,-2,-1,0

    Typical LP length: Don’t know

Testing: Probably monday, because it’s my birthday and I can’t help myself.

R/R: MH and I are going on our first date this weekend in forreeeevvverrrr. We don’t even have a plan, but I’m mentally picking out outfits already, lol. Clearly it’s been too long.

    CS/Q: Waiting waiting waiting

GTKY: What activities were you involved in as a child/teenager?! Dance, gymnastics, musical theatre, and voice lessons pretty much from elementary school on.

@Whitmore1027 I agree with the other ladies, only YOU can determine whether or not you are “fine.” If you don’t feel fine, then you’re not fine. I have definitely gone through periods of mysterious not-fineness, and trying to explain it to other people is infuriating. I hope that you can get some answers soon!

    (edit for messed up tags)
  • @galactickates I am so excited for your new house! That is sooo fun! What a super fun new chapter of your life. Yay!! That closet sounds awesome!!
@meri-mac Thank you! I seriously cheered with my coffee just now and said "hear hear!" To the complain all I want. Love it! Haha.
@wrensnest Thank you! I do believe that I am the only person who can say when I don't feel right. It's definitely hard explaining that to people. Hope you have a great date this weekend! So fun! Ohh I wish I was in theatre in school!! I DID audition for our musical in 11th grade. It was SO fun! I can't believe I even made it (I had never had voice lessons) but it was fun being a part of the chorus!

So I made my appointment with the Rheumy...the earliest date available is March 29th!! NO JOKE! UGH. I went ahead and scheduled it, and she said they would have me on the list to call if anyone cancels an appointment. Hopefully it comes sooner. I could go see a random PCP, but I feel like since this doctor knows my past and my lab results from a couple years ago, it would be better to see him. Even though I don't particularly like him...but I know he will be able to help.

  • @Whitmore1027 You are welcome  Crossing my fingers that you get an earlier appointment!

@wrensnest I can wholeheartedly recommend Black Panther if you want to go to the movies! Have tons of fun!

@galactickates That must be like floating on air. I'm glad you have a home of your own  Try not to get lost in the closet. You might end up in Narnia!
