Glad we started a new thread for this week! My IF details are in my signature! I’m getting nervous and excited leading up to my week 7 ultrasound. It’s my first one and I just hope everything is going ok. I feel like I don’t even want to exercise until i know! I even asked my RE to do a third beta and it was 8000 last week, so it was a good doubling rate. Anyone else have a lot of soreness in their pelvic region? Sometimes it freaks me out that it’s maybe cramps but it feels very different from that.

Hi PAIF ladies... today welcomed completely new PG symptoms -- shooting lower back pain and diarrhea (sorry for the TMI). at least i hope they're PG related and not the dreaded flu. i otherwise feel okay, but was hard trying to find something to eat that wouldn't upset my stomach. had the urge to POAS again today, but resisted... if only i could just make it through the weekend... 1st u/s on monday morning!
Hi all! I’m a PCOS mom, and this is my third pregnancy via IVF, and baby number 4 (2&3 are b/g twins). I saw my GP today since my fertility clinic is no longer doing IVF or follow up as of this month, I’m in Canada and it’s a non-covered service so it’s being removed from the hospital and now only available through a private clinic. Booked for a 7 week u/s on Mar 1. Good luck to everyone!!
Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well. I am SO NERVOUS for my 1st ultrasound tomorrow. I am so scared they wont find a heartbeat. I really hate how being pregnant after IF can take away so much of the joy simply because of fear and past disappointments. My H keeps telling me to be positive and that at 6 weeks and 1 day we have an 88% chance of having a take home baby, so trying to remember that.
@efavell02 I get those pains too, and like @pebbledam and @halfanewt it seems to happen from moving slightly, like rolling on the bed lol. It almost feels like I pulled a muscle. It subsides pretty quickly.
GL to everyone with ultrasounds this week!
I had my first u/s with my RE last week at 5w6d and he was able to see the sac and the fetal pole but no heartbeat yet. The told me even before the u/s that it was too early. I got back next week at 8w so we should get one then. I am nervous, but my nausea has increased this week so I am taking that as a good sign. I’m just taking to day by day.
I do have my first appointment with my OB on Thursday but they told me they’re not doing an u/s. I guess it’s just an intial consult and to establish myself as an OB patient.
I'm just hanging out until our US on the 22nd. It's so weird not having to pop into the RE's office every few days. So far, I'm managing to keep myself sane, but we'll see. Nothing exciting happening this week!
i set up my first appt with my OB for next week as well and they had me go to the lab for some blood samples. i was able to login and see my reports... they had my HCG at 27,718 on cd43 (24dp5dt). that's definitely reassuring and hopefully enough to keep me from peeing on any more sticks. haha just wish i didn't have a shooting pain in my lower back -- almost cancelled my class this morning but found a travel heating pad. hope they didn't notice me wearing yoga pants.
Just had my ultrasound. That was magical. I cried. Little bear is measuring one day ahead and has a heartbeat of 115! And I get another ultrasound in a week!
Yay @kiwi2628 ! Just goes to show, even if you aren't having a ton of symptoms, things can still be going great! So happy for you! I am dying waiting for mine on the 22nd.......

Feeling weird that I haven’t been having as many cramps or other symptoms for a few days. I’m trying not to freak out about it. Everything is probably ok. I have my first u/s tomorrow. Hoping for a good report to take the nerves off.
g/l tomorrow @hoping4lilbit. hopefully once you see your little bean, you'll feel less anxious about lack of symptoms.
i'm slowly having a change of heart about experiencing symptoms. today is the first day that i'm really cursing my symptoms... back hurts, hungry but nothing sounds acceptable, dizzy - just generally uncomfortable. fortunately I was able to take the day off today, but back to work tomorrow. hoping i see some improvement b/c i'm trying to keep the PG under wraps at work for as long as I can.
AFM - 1st u/s today at 7 weeks. Measuring right on track! Heartbeat looks great, too! My tech was awesome. After a 2 second look she stopped to say everything looked great right off the bat, then did all the measurements. Bonus points for awesome bedside manner!
@northbeach3 we saw it and then they put the doppler on through the TV u/s and we heard it @halfanewt Good bedside manner will really make or break an appointment. So glad yours went well!
Congrats @kiwi2628 and @halfanewt !! All these good news posts are making me feel better! I just had a sinking feeling today because I still don't have any symptoms. I had to go back for my 4th beta today and so far they they have been doubling, but it was taking forever for my RE to call me back with the results and I was starting to get paranoid because they normally call 2 hours after the draw. They finally called close to 5 to tell me their lab machine was broken so they don't have any numbers and will have them tomorrow. They also scheduled my first ultrasound for Friday!! . fingers crossed for good numbers tomorrow morning and a good ultrasound on Friday. I was so lucky with my first pregnancy.. it took a while to get pregnant, but happened naturally and was an uneventful pregnancy, and I don't think I had a ton of symptoms but I didn't know any better and was just excited.. recurrent losses and inability to get pregnant really sucks the oblivious joy out of early pregnancy!
Great US today! Saw the sack, baby, and heartbeat! Didn't get to hear it but just barely saw it! My estimation of delivery date was correct! I am six weeks and three days (they originally thought 7weeks even though I told them I track and I knew I ovulated very late). Other than bloating and some exhaustion the past few days no symptoms. I do seem to remember my mom says years ago that when she had us kids she never really had morning sickness. I sure as heck hope that is genetic!!
@kaza512 didn't see a doctor but the tech was pretty open with what she saw and taking measurements etc. She was really nice and really seemed to enjoy her job. At the end there was still a Dr around so she just verified with him that it all looked good and it did! I didn't get to see or talk with him.
@hoping4lilbit I spotted for a couple days last week, (towards the end of week 5). Dr. said all was good at us but to call in case of bleeding. Everything cleared up after that and no signs since! (I was nervous leading up to us because no symptoms and spotting, but everything turned out ok.) Good luck! What week r u?
Midwest Momma to be + Dog Mom to Riley, Beagle/Boxer/Snarfer Baby Blob due Oct 7! PAIF 2+ years!
I have my first ultrasound tomorrow and I am a little scared that this is what they are going to see! My sister has twins and my sister in law is currently pregnant with twins so there is enough in our family... that being said there were two “perfect follicles” according to my RE right before trigger.. so I know it’s possible. Hope this was happy and exciting news for you! (And if you were initially shocked and terrified, I hope you find yourself felling happy and excited soon!)
Hi PAIF ladies, how is everyone doing? Nausea has scaled up to 8 out of 10 for me. Making it really hard to concentrate and have no motivation to work. Dunno how I’m gonna make it through the week.
DH was super happy to learn we’ve only got one bean in there. I did have another little cyst elsewhere in my uterus. I hope it’s not a problem.
@northbeach3 I’m still truckin along. Morning sickness has amped up but doesn’t sound as bad as yours. Last week I’d only get nauseous when I was hungry, now it’s more frequent and intense feeling. Also, I’ve cried a lot more about dumb stuff haha. I’m taking it all as good signs. I realllllly hope at my U/s on Thursday they say I can stop taking the progesterone suppositories.

Just had ultrasound #2! Baby looks great- measuring a day or 2 behind, but my RE isn't worried, especially since the HR was 160! Final RE ultrasound in 2 weeks and then I get transferred to an OB!
We are thinking about announcing around 8 weeks since we have been so open with our IVF journey, it feels weird to wait all the way until 12, so in the next week or so we are doing our announcement! I am going to attach a pic of it, I am so excited!
Had my second beta today at 4w2d and it was 287. First beta was 172 so they said it went up significantly but didn’t entirely double so they want to do one more beta on Friday just to be sure and then we can schedule our first ultrasound.

edited bc initially put 38dpt but actually 24dp5dt and to add this cool beta chart from:
https://www.wantbaby.info/calculators/beta-hcg-levels
Should I be concerned that I'm above the upper-limit band in both charts? (i.e., twins?)
