GTKY: What's your favorite Olympic sport?

This is obviously spurred by the winter Olympics, but let's talk summer and winter! Between the two, what's your fave!? What's your least fave?

If anyone says race walking, you'll be my new idol.

    Figure skating, obviously. Is that even a question? I’ve always preferred Winter Olympics.

    @SkilledSailor I just can’t bring myself to watch figure skating. I realize that it takes an immense amount of talent and skill as well as athleticism to do what they do, but it just doesn’t thrill me. But then again, Winter sports aren’t my jam at all anyway. 

    I much prefer women’s gymnastics, soccer (not a fan usually, but something about the Olympics makes it fun), diving, archery, and some of the more interesting races (steeple chase). By far I love swimming the most.

    @SkilledSailor i agree figure skating. Friday night it was on and I stayed up way later than I should have to watch it.

    @wishilivedinflorida *gasp* Blasphemy! I wanted to be Kristi Yamaguchi when I was little. I do agree the gymnastics is pretty cool too though.

    Summer, but I love gymnastics, figure skating, all the equestrian, some of the running events-steeplechase is cool- and beach volleyball. But I'm all over the luge and bobsled too. I don't like team sports much, I get enough of that the rest of the time working in a sports bar.

    Grew up watching both Olympics... I loved the gymnastics in the summer and figure skating in the winter. When I was a kid, I used to dance around on my tip toes, trying to land the moves I just saw on TV.. hahaha.. and even now, when I'm on the treadmill jamming out, I imagine skating moves that I would do to those songs..

    Gymnastics is my favorite so naturally I prefer Summer over Winter, but I will watch almost any sport when it comes to the Olympics. I love the Olympics!

    Winter for sure!! I have been watching non-stop. My last two mat leaves I was off for the Winter Olympics and it was amazing. I love the skiing, snowboarding and hockey! The 14 hour time difference is complicating things a bit though.

    @born2run911 - I didn't even think about the time difference when they started! I was all excited to stream events live while working like I did with Rio but there's nothing going on during the day. Such a bummer!

    @DanyTargaryen I know! I looked up the schedule last week before it started and realized how messed up the times are. The gold medal hockey game for women’s will be on a Thurs at 11pm and men’s is a Sunday at 11pm. That’s wayyyy past my bedtime!

    I'll watch both but I tend to watch more of the summer events...and then I ignore sports until the next Olympics.

    For summer, I watch Gymnastics, Swimming, and most of the track & field events.

    For winter, I usually watch ski jumping and figure skating.

    I am also just sort of an olympics nerd! I love gymnastics and track and field in summer, but for winter I like figure skating and ski jumping (because like...how do you start this? At what point do you decide you've trained enough to give it a go?)

    Oh my gosh, I cannot pick just one. I love the Olympics so much. My mind is only on winter right now - soooo in some sort of order I'll say:
    Downhill skiing, speed skating, figure skating, the snowboarding where they race each other, halfpipe, the freestyle ski jumping stuff, the distance ski jumping stuff... Ok I think that's it.

    I love watching figure skating! I also got sucked into curling the other day...I couldn’t stop watching. So weird lol.

    Equestrian. Because I hear all the time that riding horses isn't a sport but its in the Olympics ;-)

    I prefer summer olympics over winter. I love gymnastics and diving. If I had to choose a winter sport, I’ve been watching figure skating and skiing.

    Winter Olympics I like luge and really any of the winter ice track sports. 

    For summer my favorite is ladies gymnastics. The power those ladies have is amazing!
