My husband and I love the name George, but I’m a bit nervous about it being too “old man” sounding. I think it’s super cute for a little boy, but will it be one of those names that’s rough through the teen years?
Price William and Kate have a George, and I do think it’s cute on a little boy, but also a name that is good for an adult.
It is an Old name, but names come back in style, and currently old man names are coming back. I know a little George, and the name is trending up. Chances are he will have multiple classmates with old man names. I have an Arthur (nn Art) so I’m biased I like keeping the classic/traditional names alive vs using modern names.
George will be in good company. Our school has names like George, Walter, Harvey, Clyde, Frank, Floyd (nn Floydie), Howard (nn Howie) Betty, Louise, Joanie, Esther, Leona.......I could go on. George is awesome.
I used to think it was an old man name, likely due to it being my grandfather's name, but I think it is very wearable for any age. It is a timeless classic. If DD were a boy she would have been George.

My Aaaaaa has
Frankie
Johnny
Charles
and Tommy
in his class of Jackson’s and Aiden spin offs.
george imo will not stand out negatively and in fact will work well on all ages which is what you want in a name
Also. Fred and George Wesley. You're overthinking the age thing.
I'd take george over a bennet or colton any day!
