Seeing them today, also just started feeling them for a week now (both placentas anterior)

    5. Any Rants/Raves/Questions, or  Advice ?
    Not at the moment
  • Thanks for doing this! I've had a very busy couple of weeks so i've totally been spacing it.

    1. How far along are you?
What are the babies sizes, or if you know their weights??
25 weeks 3 days, Baby A is approx 2 lbs 3 oz and Baby B is approx 1 lb 14 oz

    2. Any recent appointment updates,if not when is your next appt?
I had an appointment today! They seem to be growing well, both have a lot of fluid in their sacs, and have a "thick cervix" so i guess that's a good thing haha. Glucose test will be done around 02/10 but i don't go to the OB office for that.

    3. How are you feeling?

I'm feeling pretty good. I had a lot of BH contractions yesterday. They didn't hurt but my whole stomach was tightening to the point where i could see and indentation between the babies. I didn't think to time them because they weren't painful but my doctor said if it happens again I should try to time them to make sure it's nothing serious.

    4. Best moment with the babies this week?

We had our baby shower on saturday so it was fun celebrating our new additions! They've also been kicking a TON and i always love seeing them at my appointments.

    5. Any Rants/ Raves/Questions, or  Advice?

@doubleblessings1124 Why do you need to have an echo done? did i miss an update from you?

  • @lincbeesmom We were told it's something standard they do for IVF twins because there's an increased risk for abnormalities. Everything has looked good at our ultrasounds so hoping for normal results.
  • @lincbeesmom PS glad you had fun at your shower! My first one is this weekend so excited! What were some of your favorite gifts?

I got the my Brest friend twin nursing pillow which is freaking huge but I’m excited to try it out. Also got one of those little swaddleme by your side co sleepers which might be helpful if one isn’t sleeping as well as the other. Might buy another one but I don’t know that I’ll need two.

Other than that, I got a ton of clothes and a couple gift cards. Already used the completion discount on stuff I didn’t receive at our shower. I feel like these babies are going to be here so soon but I still have 3 months to go haha

25 weeks tomorrow!  We had an ultrasound earlier this week.  Baby Boy is 1 lb 12 oz., Baby Girl is 1 lb 11 oz.!

    2. Any recent appointment updates,if not when is your next appt?
They are doing well!  The ultrasound showed that the cervix was still thick, though I don't quite understand the measurements the technician gave us.  But that's ok, they are the experts!

    3. How are you feeling?
Sometimes DH and I freak out that it seems like it's coming so soon.  But then we realize it's still 3 months away.  I am trying to get excited about our BabyMoon next month without being too terrified that we are too far from the hospital.

    4. Best moment with the babies this week?
During the ultrasound, we couldn't get a good picture of Baby Girl's face, but we did see her foot.  She basically looked like she was kicking her brother in the head!  So, my suspicions were confirmed, that she will probably rule the roost.

    5. Any Rants/ Raves/Questions, or  Advice?
Nothing too crazy.  Yesterday, my dad and stepmom came into town to help us with some plumbing updates in our bathrooms.  My stepmom is a wonderful person.  She just annoys the bejeebers out of me.  I am a Type A planner, with project lists.  She is a creative type.  Now, those are two great things!  She talked about crocheting a blanket for the babies, painting animal figures onto canvas for the nursery, all these great ideas.  Except, after their being married for 15+ years, I know by now, none of that will ever happen :)  So, instead of helping with the plumbing work, I just sit there and say "oh, that'd be so cute!" to all her ideas for 5 hours.
  • @nhardler I agree that it's coming fast yet still seems far away at the same time. We just had our first shower yesterday which came so fast! Where are you going for a babymoon? We are doing a small out of town trip next month as well if I'm feeling good and everything is going well. I will be nervous being away as well.
  • @doubleblessings1124 Awwww wonderful!  Did you have a good time at your shower?  I hope you had time afterwards to just enjoy sitting around, looking at all the cute stuff you received!  For our BabyMoon, we are going on a tour of the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky.  It's a bucket list item for us both.  We are pregnant via gestational carrier so while I don't particularly like bourbon, I will try it.  I'm moreso just interested in the history of the area!
  • @nhardler That sounds like fun! Hope you enjoy it!! My shower wad very nice thanks! They did a diaper raffle so we got around 14 boxes I think and awesome gifts like our car seats and rock n plays!

26 weeks Thursday! Not sure of Boys sizes but they are measuring where they're supposed to!

    2. Any recent appointment updates,if not when is your next appt?
So, I haven't really been active in the community and here is why..
The boys developed TTTS because they share a placenta instead of having separate ones. (identical twins) We had a laser surgery to fix the problem and it worked! So grateful that it worked! But we have had tons of echo's done and ultrasounds I feel like an expert. I take DD to my appointments and she does AMAZING going to the doctors with me all the time. This whole pregnancy has been high risk so I've already had a lot of appointments but when TTTS developed it happened so fast. I was even put on HBP meds but I was able to come off those yesterday after my last echo! Ultrasound next week and another glucose test! they did an early glucose test due to being high risk and I passed so this is another one hour test so hopefully everything goes great!

    3. How are you feeling?
Tired! Also excited and ready to meet them!

    4. Best moment with the babies this week?
I just love feeling them move around!

    5. Any Rants/ Raves/Questions, or  Advice?
So many doctors appointments and being on moderate bed rest is hard. I'm so used to doing everything and they gave me a long list of things that I can't do. Hubby is great taking everything on though!

  • Wow! Glad to hear that everything is going so well now. Stay strong!
  • I'm 27.5 weeks and had my growth scan today. Everyone looks healthy; Baby A is 2lb 13 oz and Baby B is 2lb 9oz. My cervix is still "closed and long", so my body doesn't show any signs of going into labor, which was refreshing to hear because I have so much pressure down there I feel like I could go into labor at any moment. I have become so uncomfortable the last week or two. The heating pad and belly band are my two new best friends :) Unfortunately both babies are breech so it's looking like a C-Section is in my future, unless these little ladies decide to flip within the next few weeks. This twin pregnancy thing is a WILD ride, but one I'm glad to be on!
