New here - Feb IVF (loss mentioned)

Hi ladies!
I'm new here but not new to fertility treatments. I'm about to start my second full IVF cycle.

DH and I started IVF last summer. I am 40 and my husband is 42. I have DOR even for my age but my body responded pretty well to the stims last IVF cycle. We did one egg retrieval that generated four 6-day embryos, with two that were PGS normal. We had a failed transfer in September then took a month off for a testing cycle, then another transfer in December.

Our December transfer was successful, however we had a very early MC after beta didn't rise as needed, then declined.

After the cycle, we did more testing and I was diagnosed with a minor septate uterus. We did surgery earlier this month to correct and plan to begin stims for our next IVF cycle in late February.

We are hopeful for the next cycle but I am struggling with fear and would love to join this supportive community. I was a big Knottie and Nestie back in the day and always loved those groups.

Welcome and I'm sorry that you have to be here. I'm sorry too for your recent loss but I'm happy that you and YH have a plan and are moving forward. Good luck with your stims this month and I hope that your next IVF would be it for you.

@txjewel I’m fairly new to this site too! And loss it always difficult! Sorry for your loss. We had a successful IUI in 2/‘17 but MC at 5.5wks, so we’re now here with IVF.

@txjewel Me too!! I'm in Prosper. You should join the "Braving Infertility Together" Facebook page as well. It's all local Dallas girls. I've met some great girls thru it that are doing IVF at the same time

@kristimh80 I would but isn't that a group that people can see the members? I'm keeping my fertility journey private from most family and definitely work. I may have that wrong, though. LMK - if it's secret, I'd love to join.

@txjewel Awesome!! Everyone loves Dr.Ku! I'm with Dr.Havemann, but Mucowski did my retrieval. If you end up there on a Saturday and have Dr.Barnett, don't let him scare you...he's all business and has no filter

@kristimh80 I’ve worked with Dr Barnett. He helped me once when Dr Ku was oot. He was really good but def a very different tone than Ku. Glad you like your Dr!
