@mrsbubbles-2 a bathroom company that will let us supply what we want is what we’re aiming for. We only plan to be here for 5 years more max so something durable for kids but will still be good resale down the road. Anything would be an improvement from whats in our bathrooms now. I’m pretty sure our master is circa 1973 when the House was built haha
DD has been running a temp since last night. She and DS have had URIs for the last week, but neither have had a fever until last night. She has ear tubes and they’re not draining so I don’t think it’s an ear infection. Her temp got up to 103 today and I’m freaking out that it’s influenza. She’s had a pretty normal appetite and happy as be.
also, I got offered the job that I applied for and they are giving me .23 more than I asked for AND they’re working with my school schedule.
I’m terrified to tell them I am pregnant. Any advice on how to handle that?
@roadspeckle huge congrats on the job! No idea about telling work though...I’ll just be telling my boss but I know it won’t be a big deal. Hopefully DD feels better soon!!
I have my NT scan on Tuesday and I am so nervous. I’ve been looking up TW type threads online and reading them and torturing myself and IDK why I’m doing it. Eurgh.
@hfooter That sounds like my week. I'm just starting to feel a bit better today, so hopefully I'm over the hump? I'm sorry you're not feeling well, but I'm also glad that there are others who aren't having an easy time. It makes me feel more normal.

A friend of DH’s and I called and offered us a crib this weekend, really fantastic crib that is beautiful...but it is a drop side crib. I have no idea how to tell them we won’t be using the crib. DH and I talked about bolting it, but we could never forgive ourselves if anything happened. I was so excited about getting the crib, and now have no idea what to do with it.
So both my private and federal student loans have decided to raise my minimum payments this month. I now have to pay more than one of my paychecks per month in student loans. So now I'm looking for a third job- probably retail on nights and weekends since I don't have the training for a lot of work from home stuff. It's going to suck being on my feet for 15+ hours a day, but I don't have much choice.

@roadspeckle yay!!! Congratulations! I’m sorry your little isn’t feeling well, this flu season is never ending! FX it’s not the flu and DD feels better soon! @ecwk my NT is on Tuesday as well! Cue the nervous anxiety. I haven’t been able to find the heartbeat on my home doppler yet and I’ve had some screwy blood sugars so I’m trying not to work myself into a complete frenzy. Hugs and stay away from the evil google machine! @kc0711 good call on not using the crib. We bought DS’s second hand and I researched the crap out of safety regulations. I hope you find the perfect crib soon! @jsnakehole no advice but I’m sorry! @derbysquirrel I feel more normal too! I hope you feel better soon!
@ecwk my payments are interest only for private and income-based for federal. The issue is that my income is calculated on last year, when my husband was deployed. He's currently looking for a job and doing temp work here and there, but that's few and far between. The income-based payment also doesn't take into consideration the grand I pay to my private student loans each month. And student loan forgiveness was a ruse- apparently they'll forgive only $1500 of my loans, which is a drop in the bucket.
As of right now, my plan is to create an aggressive budget, apply for retail work (thankfully I live in an area with lots of retail), and start downsizing- a lot of my pre-pregnancy clothes are going to be sold, as well as most of my shoes, accessories, and jewelry. I'm also going to see if there's a market for selling baked goods in my area for events, since I can bake.
I've lived like this before, and it sucks super hard, but I can do it again. It won't be easy to do while pregnant, but it's not impossible.

@jsnakehole aren’t you a teacher? If you teach at a Title 1 school, there is Federal Student Loan forgiveness after you’ve worked there 5 years. Depending on what you teach, it can be up to $17,500. There may be a state program, to. Texas has one where they pay out $1500, but you can apply for it every year.
@jsnakehole can you consolidate and refinance with a company like SoFi? I’m looking into refinancing mine to make them more manageable for when baby gets here and I’ll be out of work for a while. Good luck, student loans are one of my biggest worries as well, they are no fun to deal with.

I would be straight with your friends. Like hey we checked for recalls and turns out these are a no go. (They are illegal to sell, even second hand). Because your friends need to dump it.
@roadspeckle I would recommend not saying anything until you have started. Unfortunately companies can still come up with reasons not to bring you on until you are in that door. Pregnancy is a protected status for a reason. Is it a big company or small? Do multiple people do what you’re doing or is it a specialized role? All that will impact how they will likely respond. Do you hope to take a full 12weeks? I’m HR

Oh man, that is super tough! Mine and DH's student loans are such a burden. Thankfully, he is technically still in school, so we can get away with deferment. I think they'll be coming into repayment before he goes back for his program. He is going for physical therapy and we don't know if he'll be accepted this fall or next year. He's been in school for so long, I'm so ready for him to start working. I consolidated everything I could with nelnet and went on income based and then refinanced the private ones into as low a payment as I could get them. I don't think they do income based for private ones, right? For the federal ones, are you able to have them look at your income only? I feel like I did that before so I could get DH's down since he isn't working and they wanted to take my income into consideration but I could be remembering this wrong.
DD is starting her first parent/child class tomorrow. DH will be taking her since I'm the working parent and I'm really sad to be missing out
@livinthesunnylife it’s a physician owned private clinic - they had 52 applicants for this position, and they did 14 interviews? it’s an OB/GYN office. i would love to take 12 weeks, but I may not be able to afford to. A former coworker of mine started in a different department and told them she was pregnant a few months in, and she was good to go. I just feel dishonest, but i hadn’t planned on saying anything until I start, but i just wasn’t sure how long after I start since I’ll be almost 13 weeks at that point.
DD was diagnosed with pneumonia and RSV today. her vitals were good, so didn’t feel hospitalization was necessary. have to follow up with her pcp tomorrow and watch her closely. is this winter over yet? so over it.

Omgosh. I’m so sorry. Be praying for your little girl. I agree. I’m over winter. It snowed today. Big storm coming Tuesday. NO. Over it.

Poor thing! Hope she recovers quickly, that's scary!
We've had snow falling all day today and forecasted even more all week. How is it only February? Feels like the longest winter ever.
I started coached our derby juniors today, and it was a lot of fun. They wore me out, though! It's so much fun to watch the kids get into it, and they develop new skills so quickly. I was able to officiate for our season opener last night, so I feel like I'm still involved even if I can't compete for the time being.
After all that excitement I fell asleep through most of the second quarter and halftime show, but was able to enjoy most of the game from the couch with some delicious bean dip that DH made for me.

I am not a Kardashian fan but I am proud of that Kylie. Idk how to spell their names lol. But she chose to avoid the spotlight and refused any endorsements for an official announcement. She did do it during the SB. Kind of funny. But, she’s made a point to confirm it and announce baby won’t be in the spotlight. Neither will she. Stress isn’t good for baby. She’s the smartest one in the family.
Hey-o! I am taking my leave of y'all and headed to lurker status, going to the July board full time, so thought I should pass on the product spotlight thread! Here's how I usually post the product spotlight. Just open my link at the bottom and "make a copy" so whoever chooses to post product spotlights has their own spreadsheet not linked to mine. THen I just search "Product Spotlight" and copy paste the text of the correct one into a new discussion. Then I find the old link and put it in the spreadsheet (I haven't done this in awhile, sorry!). You guys will figure it out! Happy and healthy pregnancies to all!
@roadspeckle sorry to hear about the RSV. Glad you caught it early! Did they prescribe nebulizer? That's what got us through our bout of RSV. Good luck!

@lalala2004 Now all I can think about is Braum's! The closest one is 3 hours away...
Oh yeah, I forget it isn’t everywhere. I have one that’s literally a 1 minute drive from my work. Be jealous. But also.... have less pregnancy weight gain than me
