i wa invited to a smSuoer Bowl party and decided not tI go. I took a nap and woke up feeling like crap so I had no desire to attempt to get dressed. I am not a big football fan so it is no biggie to me. I usually just participate for the socialization part of it. What are you ladies doing? Who are you rooting for?

Aw @ssthomps I’m sorry you’re feeling so crummy! Cheering for the Patriots here, DH is on baby duty so I can enjoy my game! I made some guacamole which tasted so wrong and buffalo chicken dip which is awesome. Also dug our the Americana leggings for proper representation!

No biggie for us either. We're team "anyone but the patriots" so we're hoping the Eagles win, but don't actually care much. We'll just be watching the end to make sure we don't miss the start of This is Us!

Edit to add: I could use some superbowl party food though... Darn.

We had junk food for dinner and are watching just for commercials and JT.

I also enjoyed the booing when the Patriots took the field.

DH and I enjoy making all the football terminology into euphemisms. Tight end, especially. Lol.

I made lots of good eats, just us and the kids (in the past we’ve had parties) bc dh is a Steelers fan and thus hates the pats but we live in patriots land sooo he didn’t want to party with patriots fans lol.

Jt was disappointing I thought. He looked too old for his getup. A nice sharp suit would have been sooo much better. Kinda looked homeless.

I dint really care care much for football or either team. Im
snuggling with Rory and then going to sleep. Hope I can avoid this is us spoilers!!!

I thought JT was bland. It wasn’t a pump up halftime show. Yawn fest.

Im so sad football season is over.

It it was a great game!! Always fun when it is down to the wire.

Disappointed that JT didn't reveal a boob for us this time. Kind of a let down from the last time we saw him perform at halftime.

Good game, though. I always like a close battle, especially when I don't care about either team at all. I was sad that Brandin Cooks was injured, he's an Oregon State alum, and the only player in the game I care about. I hope he recovers quickly!

Great superbowl!
Those missed kicks we're crazy. Those QB catching plays were insane. The Eagles coaching was fantastic, Foles put up a fight that even TB couldn't win in the end. He tried though and also had a hell of a game.

I'm stuffed to the gills with nachos, buffalo chicken dip, potato skins, wings and all the candy.
LO went to bed way too late due to the festivities, watched too much iPad AND ate total garbage for dinner like the rest of us. I'm just chalking it up to being a "holiday" and will get back on track tomorrow. However I just noticed before bed she had a clear runny nose which is always a bad sign so I better get to bed in case she wakes up sick. Goodnight bumpies!

I’m about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia so we are SO PUMPED our boys won! Pretty bummed I had to work tonight, but some of us brought in food and all of the patients had the game on so we were popping in rooms to watch it throughout the night. And since we’re on the fourth floor, we had an awesome view of all the fireworks!

We watched until halftime and then DS had an epic meltdown from being up past his bedtime. Poor kid. He wanted to watch more football!! Even though early in the game he said “hey, those baseball guys fell down!”

Best commercial was absolutely the Giants dirty dancing though. ODB was hilarious.

I also had buffalo chicken dip and it was amazing, I ate my weight in it. I didn't care who won but after TB got hit early in the game he looked like a pouting toddler the rest of the time and it made me eye roll. That one play where Foles made the TD was amazing.

I totally put out a spread for me and DS. Like WAY too much food. So, I had superbowl spread leftovers for lunch today! Win-win! My SO is traveling (coming home tonight, phew!) so it was just us. DS is totally into the Eagles and LOVED watching them. Although since he's just 2, he doesn't know how long the game goes, so he only got to see the first quarter. He was excited to see them on the news this morning again and shouts EAGLES GO all over the house.
The fireworks and car horns last night were insane in our neighborhood. I can't believe he didn't wake up to it all. I couldn't get to sleep for a long time after the end of the game and totally wished I had a sitter to go out into the mayhem. (It's still not cool to just leave your kid at home alone, even if they're safe in their crib, right?!?) I'll definitely be at the parade on Thursday though! FLY EAGLES FLY!

Other thoughts:
I thought JT was meh. I've never been a huge fan though. The selfie kid was so weird. Get it together kid, you're on national TV and that was your 5 seconds.
Tide commercials were kinda great, and really make me feel like a mom because I do kinda love Tide.

omg @westphilly that selfie kid! Lol I thought I was the only one like wtf kid, JT is coming your way and you're not prepared for this. Poor JT had to pose for like 3 selfies with the poor kid cuz he just couldn't figure it out.

@calimom2524 Selfie Kid has been all over the news channels today and apparently has 60,000 followers on Instagram now. I would NEVER let my kid have a public Instagram at that age. He probably has photos with school logos and stuff all over. Stranger danger yo.

Best part. The 30 seconds of dead airtime. Lol. I used to do some radio broadcasting (small farm town radio) PT. Mostly running the boards for sports events for local colleges and some HS. Dead air is the worst. And I’m sitting there screaming, dying. It was a solid 30 second, RE: $5 million dollars, spot. Somebody lost their job.
