How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
26w1d. 5/6. Size of a slow loris

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
Mmm so far everything is okay this week. We got a lot done this weekend (boring house chores) and it made me incredibly happy. I have been an emotional wreck lately, so I'm a little nervous things have been going so well

Any upcoming appointments?
Not till next month. Then have a growth ultrasound and our next check up.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
Hm. Maybe Thanksgiving bc of all the yummy food? This might just be bc all I think about is food now.
Bonus second GTKY: Best/favorite concert or show you’ve ever attended.
My favorite Broadway show was The Orphans. I was uncontrollably crying afterwards for a good 5 minutes. It was so good, but had controversy (Shia LaBoeuf was spsd to be in it but was being a jerk to Alec Baldwin or something so Shia was replaced) so it closed early. I felt like it was such a good play and was really upset it closed early. At least I got to see it.

25 + 2. She’s about the size of a baseball glove. Due 5/12.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
Feeling ok although I’m starting to have ankle/foot swelling. I ordered some compression socks so hopefully that helps. Hoping for a trip to Ikea this weekend (its 2 hours from us) for the first time to get our girl a dresser. I already picked one out online and I plan to select store pick up and buy it online Friday (you can only so store pick up if you can pick it up in the next 24 hours). So excited about that because she has clothes out the wazoo and I’m dying to get organized.

Any upcoming appointments?
No appointments until 2/22. That will be my last US, glucose test, and first 3rd trimester appointment.

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
4th of July is my favorite holiday. I like that it’s low pressure and you can spend it however you want without feeling like you need to make an effort to see your whole family in one day. Also alcohol...

Bonus second GTKY: Best/favorite concert or show you’ve ever attended.
Best concert was when I was 13. My friend and I saw Justin Timberlake and Pink. I don’t even love either of their music but they put on such a great performance (Pink did an acrobat act, it was amazing).

Best show was Wicked. I’ve only seen it off broadway but it was SO good. I really want to see it again since it’s been a few years.

@bjkay22 I think Pink is an extremely talented all around performer. That is so cool you go to see her do acrobatics live.

And I have never been that into organization, but pregnancy is making me such a psycho about everything. I wish I had this motivation to keep organized all the time. Also, I really like Ikea ha.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Experienced prolonged dizziness, lightheadedness, etc. on Saturday. Really freaked me out. Likely related to my low blood sugar issues. Going to discuss it with my OB at next appt to see if it is something we should be monitoring. Felt much better yesterday. Latest ailment is that my right ribs hurt SOOOOO badly...I don't know if I laid on them wrong last night or what.

Bonus second GTKY: Best/favorite concert or show you’ve ever attended. Hmmm this is a tough one. I saw Wicked in NYC with the original broadway cast. That was pretty awesome. As far as concerts go, I saw Joshua Radin in an acoustic show and it was pretty emotional for me hahah. Our first dance at our wedding to one of his songs and the experience of hearing him live for the first time felt borderline life changing. Can't wait to see more of his shows.

I'm so sorry about your lightheadedness/dizziness and low blood sugar. I hope your OB can give you some suggestions on how to stop these spells from happening so frequently. That's really scary to be dizzy so often when we are already have a shifting center of gravity while pregnant. Would your OB be able to discuss some strategies over the phone since your appt isn't for another 2 weeks?

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? I had to go without Zofran for the weekend but just picked up a refill. That was rough.

Any upcoming appointments? Glucose test Thursday

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why? I love Halloween and Christmas, but since we're in Carnival season right now and I'm stuffing my face with kingcakes, Mardi Gras is pretty high on my list.

Bonus second GTKY: Best/favorite concert or show you’ve ever attended. Oooh that's hard. I don't know if I can pick one. DH and I go to a lot of concerts. A couple that I really liked more recently: Mumford & Sons, 21 Pilots, Breaking Benjamin, Muse & Thirty Seconds to Mars.

26+2 May 5. Size of a squash? I feel like the size things are getting more and more iffy and hard to quantify...

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
Sometimes I feel the baby move around a lot. Sometimes I don't. And when I don't I get really worried!

Any upcoming appointments?
Next Thursday at 27+6. Also my one hour glucose test. Wish me luck!

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
Hm... Really, any holiday is good for me. Just don't want to think about work!

That's tough. I loved Muse, and I went to a few Muse concerts back in the day. I also loved seeing Weezer live a couple times. Flaming Lips was also good live! So many choices.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
I had my three hour glucose test yesterday and felt like shit alllll day after. I haven't gotten the results yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Rant- I went bra shopping on Sunday and ended up getting a 38DDD. Ugh. Rave- I had yesterday off for my glucose test, so it's another short work week for me. Hopefully I have more motivation this weekend to get some more stuff cleared out of the playroom/nursery so we can start to get things set up.
Any upcoming appointments?
Repeat Ultrasound on 2/7 to check placenta placement, then normal midwives appointment on the 14th.
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
I have a hard time picking. Thanksgiving has all the awesome food, Christmas is...well, it's Christmas. Awesome. But I'm with @helloworld9, pretty much any holiday when I get to not work and be with my family is pretty awesome.

Show, I'd have to say Book of Mormon. I laughed so hard, it was hilarious. But Phantom of the Opera is of course pretty amazing, too, and I loved Miss Saigon, too. As far as concert, I haven't been to a ton, but I loved Aerosmith.

@bjkay22 I know I've mentioned it before, but I haven't been wearing my wedding rings in months, and the other day when I wore high heels, you could see the marks in my foot where the strap was. So much swelling already.
@kpc914 I've been having a lot of dizziness, too. After both of my glucose tests, I felt SO dizzy all day, so now I can't tell if when I start feeling dizzy and crappy, it's because I need to eat or because my sugar is too high! I hope you get some answers soon, and start to feel better.

@sandbar517 keep us posted on the glucose results! Swelling is a real pain. My hands aren’t having any swelling. I’ve found that if I drink about a gallon of water a day (which I was slacking on) my feet don’t swell too bad. I can tell they are a little puffy but it’s not much. So I’m REALLY trying to get a gallon in every day.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Nothing new really, although I really feel like I look like I'm in my third tri already. Scared for how big my belly will get!

Any upcoming appointments? I just went last week, so I've got 3 weeks to go. I *think* I passed my glucose test. I didn't hear anything, which I guess is good news. The online test result confuses me. I suppose I could just call and double-check...

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why? St. Patrick's Day -- it's my birthday! I'm not into St. Patrick's Day activities, just the fact that I get treated extra nice that day.

Bonus second GTKY: Best/favorite concert or show you’ve ever attended. I've been to so many shows (and very few concerts), but my favorite ever was when I saw The Pillowman on Broadway 10+ years ago now. It was electrifying.

26 weeks today. Due May 8. Baby is the size of kale, which means very little to me.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?

Not feeling great. My mood is really low and I feel physically like I can barely move because of my pelvic girdle pain. I'm like an old woman slowly hobbling around when I'm used to being a big walker and especially a FAST walker. I'm sure my mood is closely linked to this constant achiness and sedentariness. I've been to a chiropractor that my doula recommended, and after the first adjustment Friday I felt better for maybe 24 hours and then suddenly much worse. She says this is normal as my muscles adjust to the new alignment and I hope that's true.

Any upcoming appointments?

Nothing this week except more chiropractic appointments. Next week is my OB appointment and I also have an appointment with the physio clinic associated with our women and children's hospital. Oh, and now that I'm 26 weeks I need to find a time in the next 2 weeks to go do to the glucose test. I have the requisition and they are just done as a walk in here so I don't make an appointment.

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?

I'd have to say Christmas! Although the last few years I've been more focused on the stress than the joy of it. I hope having a little guy around to get excited will help bring back some of the magic.

Bonus second GTKY: Best/favorite concert or show you’ve ever attended.

This is tough. I'm not sure it's the BEST concert I've ever attended, but probably the one that felt like the most "magic" was the first real grown up concert I ever went to on my own in high school - Our Lady Peace. I was a huuuge fan and it was so exciting.

@thunderberry Hope she's right and that you start to feel better soon! For me, having my girls DEFINITELY brought back the magic and excitement of Christmas. The first year might not be as exciting since he'll still be pretty little and you'll basically end up opening all of his gifts for him, but it still definitely makes it more fun.

How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 25w 5d, a head of cauliflower, 5/11.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? My husbands birthday is Monday, so we'll be celebrating this weekend. Nothing much pregnancy wise, getting tougher to bend over, catch my breath with prolonged activity etc. Overall feeling pretty good though.

Any upcoming appointments? next Thursday! Appt, 1hr GTT, and growth/4D ultrasound!

GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why? Halloween! So much fun dressing up, low pressure, just all around fun!

Bonus second GTKY: Best/favorite concert or show you’ve ever attended We've been to quite a few, but it's been a long time. I've really enjoyed Incubus, the whole CMT festival weekend, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, DMB, Brad Paisley, I'm sure there are plenty of others. I would love to see Justin Timberlake, but our closest show it the 3rd week in May, so that won't be happening.

Not a big 'show' but we took our daughter to see Illuminate this past fall, which was pretty amazing! She loved it, but I think we enjoyed it just as much.

Exhausted. Driving 5 hours Sunday to a client for two days, then back was not fun. Riding in the car that long is super uncomfortable. I've been exhausted outside of this too. That 2nd tri energy only last me like 3-4 weeks.

2/14 - regular appt on Valentine's day. Apparently I am going every 3 weeks now?
GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
4th of July, because it's warm, an extra day to spend on the lake, and fireworks are my favorite (at least until I had kids, now I cringe and hope my child doesn't wake up). But now I'm wondering if subconsciously it's because of what @bjkay22 said haha.

Kenny Rogers was awesome even though not a fan of his music - I used to volunteer at an amphitheater and saw a lot of shows.
Concert that I chose to go to - Blink 182. Travis Barker solos get me every time.

@heelsidehero I hate fireworks now after having a kid... They wake him up every year. And we are in a decent sized town bordered by lots of other decent sized towns and we can hear them all and of course all the fireworks shows are scheduled on different days leading up to and after the 4th. So it's basically a 3 weekend time period that I cringe. I also hate when major sporting events are going on and the local team wins, a la the Cubs in 2016. That night was insane.

@bwow615 yes! It feels like all summer is now free game for fireworks since our law changed that anyone can shoot them off now. 2 weeks around Memorial Day, a month for 4th of July, another couple weeks for Labor Day. And at 11 pm!!!
