28 weeks!!! cottontail rabbit and boy does he kick like one.

pretty good heartburn is not fun and I have been so exhausted

this Thursday and I have my glucose test

I have a Saturday off which is uncommon so I am doing a girls day with my mom and sister.

I think redecorating my house and going to major league baseball games all over the U.S.

30 weeks! Feeling CRAY! Apparently as long as a zucchini and nearly 3 lbs which is why I look like I swallowed a watermelon
2. How are you feeling lately?
Good. Some aches but nothing too bad. Sleep is touch and go. Belly is stretching so sometimes itchy.

Yes on Thursday then I move to bi weekly.

rant- now big enough for ppl to comment on how big I am. Like damn I know I’m big- I am growing a human!? Or should it not grow...? Ppl need to keep their comments to themselves. Also rant to all the gendered expectations re: work, staying home etc. just irritating to me.
5. GTKY: If money was no option what hobby would you pick up?
Definitely redo the house/buy rental property and maybe get into flipping.

Heartburn is pretty bad lately. Extra emotional.

Definitely love renovations. I would love to buy and take my time restoring an old Greek revival. Also definitely all the travel!

I think I'd like to give ballet a try, and I'd probably pick up clarinet again (haven't played since high school).

I'm a tax accountant so my busy season is here and I'm just not in the mood to be social with our clients. I love the majority of them but sometimes I just want to hide out and have other people deal with it. Also, a tip for those who use an accountant to do their taxes - please make their lives easier and take your stuff out of the envelopes and compile it neatly with a simple paperclip. I cannot tell you how much time I waste opening peoples mail or sort through the junk items we don't need. Reference your last years return to make sure you have everything ready to go so we aren't wasting time tracking you down for it. haha i'm sorry. See #2.
5. GTKY: If money was no option what hobby would you pick up?
Definitely do some home renovations but the main thing would be to travel. I would live abroad - keeping a home in London and have that be our jumping off point. I would hire tutors to teach the children during our travels and for sure keep a nanny on hand for the occasional night on the town. When the weather gets cold, we would snowbird it to the maldives. haha I mean, I haven't give it much thought or anything! (it's literally all I think about.)

Generally uncomfortable and miss continuous sleep (thanks bladder, restless legs, heartburn, and general insomnia!)

Ultrasound next week to hopefully confirm the placenta has moved up.

While I had full intent to be active on the boards this pregnancy, I have been pretty absent dealing with my mother’s illness since early fall and then passing in December. I never thought about how much harder this would all be while pregnant. I don’t even have any good words for it (making this a pretty terrible rant)… I am sure there will be a whole new flood of emotions when this baby is born and she’s not there, but I still can’t wait for this pregnancy to be over and to be on leave for a few months with my boys.

Count me in for the house renovations....
@nessa1632 Me too usually. Our house now was built in 1870. The house has a beautiful banister and super high ceilings on both floors, and 100% original hardwoods in every single room. I also do love the old ornate radiators and super huge windows. But I’m over the quirks. lol. I am not even sure of what our walls are made of. I think plaster and lathe but then there’s something over that. The electricity was added after it was built which means one outlet in each bedroom and zero in the halls or bathroom. Major PITA.

2. How are you feeling lately?
Not great. Heartburn, acid reflux, shortness of breath going up the stairs/walking long distances and lots of pressure if I'm on my feet too much.

Not really, other than in huge and uncomfortable and I wish I was like 37 weeks already.
5. GTKY: If money was no option what hobby would you pick up?
Definitely play poker (Texas holdem) on a regular basis. My husband and I used to play in charity rooms and casinos 2-4 times a week before we had kiddos. Now obviously since kids we go maybe once a month or every other if we are lucky. Mostly due to getting sitters, other commitments and money is tighter as well. If I had my way once a week would be awesome! I miss playing so much. Just got back from Vegas yesterday. We had a blast and I finally got my fix for a while! Lol
