Who’s got one? What is your EDD/ how far along are you? What is the appointment (betas, confirmation, ultrasound, etc)? Do you have any specific concerns?
I finally have my first one on Friday morning. I’ll be 8+4. While I’m so grateful we didn’t need to see an RE to get pregnant this time, it’s so weird to not see a doctor until this far along!
I have my first appointment Friday. My office does a dating ultrasound ... I’m either due 6/14 based on LMP or 6/11 based on ovulation (at least I think, I always track and feel ovulation cramps that I log in my app, even though I wasn’t trying). So I guess we’ll find out which date will stick. I’m also really hoping there is one baby, because the idea of three kids is already terrifying.
My first appointment is Wednesday; I'll be 8+3. They called it a "confirmation" appointment. When I was with this office before, they did an early u/s, so I'm assuming and hoping I get one this time.
This is a new OB for me, so I'm a little anxious about meeting her and going over everything (loss history, health history), but she was referred to me by a friend who really likes her. I'm mostly just nervous for the appointment; we've had several bad OB appointments and they make me super anxious. I'm trying not to really think about it until I have to.
2/13 Blighted ovum, D&C -- 6/13 MC -- 8/14 DD born -- 3/17 MC -- 9/18 DD2 born Expecting again -- EDD 7/27/20
My second appointment is tomorrow at 8w, 2d. I'm talking with the doc and getting an ultrasound. It has been the longest three weeks waiting for this appointment. Hoping to get a good sighting of little love and hear a strong heartbeat. DH isn't able to make the appointment due to work but his aunt is absolutely thrilled to go with me. My only concern is that I apparently was born with my right kidney more centered, than off the right. The doc told me last time that she would talk to me more about how it could affect the pregnancy at tomorrow's appointment. Me and my husband have done our research and it appears more than likely I'll be put on bed rest at least a month before and the chances are greater for a c-section. Instead of little love pushing up against my bladder, they will be pushing up against that kidney. I'll find out for sure tomorrow though.
I can’t wait for my appt. on Wednesday! I love my OB and she just got back from her own maternity leave so I can’t wait to talk babies! I’ll be 8w5d based on LMP but last pregnancy I measured small in the beginning so we’ll see how I measure this time. I’ll have an u/s and she’ll measure heartbeat. I already did blood work but have to redo the urine test. I was a little nervous, especially since my symptoms have almost completely disappeared, but just got surprisingly calm so hopefully everything will be in order and I can tell more family Thursday.
@BusinessWife@danytagaryen Agreed! I was just thinking of something to give some structure to the thread. I prefer reading the bullet points, not the paragraphs. Habits from TTGP I guess
I have my first appointment tomorrow morning, I will be 8w 2d. My offices does a nurse visit for history and blood work for the first appointment, so I won't get an US or anything. my next visit is Feb 20 where they will listen to the HR. My first us will be for the anatomy scan...its so long to wait!
My first appointment is tomorrow morning. I think I'll be 7+6, hoping to get that nailed down. Not sure what all the appt. will entail. They said it will be with an OB and then the next appt. will be longer and with the NP. I know last time all 1st tri appts were with the NP, which is actually better because they spend more time with you answering any questions. I'm hoping for an ultrasound. I think everything will feel more real after I see the little bub. I know it's not an uncommon symptom, but I have had a tiny bit of spotting and never did last time. It will just be nice to know everything is okay. Also hoping I get lots of ultrasounds like I did last time! I know that's not typical for low risk pregnancies but for whatever reason I got a ton my first go round and can't imagine only have a few!
My first is tomorrow and I'm so excited! My LMP puts me at almost 7 weeks, but my cycle is long so it might be closer to 6 wk a and 3 days. I really hope they do an ultrasound!
I had my first appointment today-- they didn't seem to believe me. Running bloodwork for hormone levels.
From my calculations I am about 5+3.
I've been going to them for a couple years. Haven't been pregnant in that time and since I look very young (we are talking under 20 when I am just under 30) I often get remarks related to my age. Had the PA try to push some vacc for teenagers on me at my last visit. I was super confused.
I hate their online system. It hasn't updated with the stats from today yet, which included a urine test. It keeps on locking up. I swear, if I wasn't moving in a month I would choose a different doc.
Hi! I had my first prenatal appt this morning. I’m 8 weeks and got to see an ultrasound and a heartbeat!
My doctor did an exam and told me I have a polyp on my cervix. She didn’t seem even remotely concerned, and said that it could have been there for a while and my previous dr probably didn’t mention it bc it’s so unimportant. Is it really that common and insignificant? She said it won’t affect my pregnancy or birth but I was surprised and concerned when I found out. Anyone have this?
I had a great first appt. with my OB today. She did an internal exam and said everything looked great! Considering my tough delivery 14 months ago that was awesome to hear! She also did an u/s and I noticed the flickering heartbeat right away! We’ll get to hear it at the next appt. They were going to do my NT scan and next regular OB appt. on the same day but I had them schedule the NT scan the week before so that we only have to wait 3 weeks to see baby again instead of 4. She also said that based on the size of my DD at birth (9lb. 2oz.) she’ll do some extra growth scans at the end and also told me I need to do the glucose test in the 1st and 2nd trimester. I didn’t feel like waiting around the hospital for an extra hour today so I will do it in 3 weeks. I definitely found that I am way less anxiety ridden this time than last time since I know what to expect.
EDD is Sept 16th. I have my first u/s scheduled for 1/24. I'll be 6+5 at that time. Extremely nervous. This is my second pregnancy vi IUI, but had a missed miscarriage this past July at 12w and discovered the baby had stopped growing right after my u/s around 7 weeks. Nightmares abound worrying that something will be wrong again!
I had just gotten to my office (late since my first appt was this morning) when the office called and said that they forgot to do my blood work. So back I go. H is a little annoyed at his disorganized the office is, but I’ll wait and see how it ends up. Ugh.
I went to an early ultrasound yesterday because of spotting at 6+4. There was only a gestational sac. They took some blood (haven’t heard back on that yet) and scheduled another us for Monday. I’m just hoping that because of my tilted uterus it was hard to see the baby or my dates are off. It was pretty hard on me and H to not see anything yesterday
I have a clear as day ultrasound of my daughter at 6+2... so I don’t have a whole lot of hope at this point.
I'm so sorry @Bear14+. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I'm sorry @kleary818. I would most certainly expect them to do another u/s in a week or so. If they have not offered, I would definitely ask. I hope you can get one scheduled and fingers cross it has a positive outcome.

@Bear14+ I'm sorry for the disappointing u/s. 6 weeks is still pretty early, so if things weren't just right it's definitely possible that things will be better at the next appointment. Limbo sucks.

Thanks- they pretty much just told me to think about how to “remove them”.... I was like studering asking for a second opinion and she just said she was 90+ percent sure based off their measurement. Just figured I’d ask because some people here said they didn’t see a heart beat st 6 weeks. It was an internal ultrasound.
@kleary818 They should be doing a follow-up ultrasound. If they didn't schedule you for one, I'd give them a call and get it on the books. I'm sorry for the tough spot you're in and hope that maybe the timing was just a little bit off and you'll see heartbeats next time.

We had our first appointment today and it went really well! We got to see the baby and the heartbeat. We're measuring a few days ahead; I'm at 8+3 today. We should be able to do the NT screening in about 2 weeks and see baby again. I'm still a little bit in shock, I think. I was geared up to deal with a bad appointment, but was trying not to think about any of it too much. We'll start cautiously telling a few people, the ones who can keep a secret, and will probably wait until 12 weeks or so to announce more publicly and tell our daughter.

I'm sorry for the terrible bedside manner. That is not how a dr should be approaching these ultrasound results. Please make sure you get another scan - I will be hoping for the best.

Hi ladies ! It's been a bit of a rocky road so far. I had my friend ultra sound 2 weeks ago because we estimated about 7 weeks (pretty sure date of conception was Dec 11..) anywho. Ultra sound didn't go so well. Just a yolk sack. Got blood work done and doctor said my hormone levels were rising and matched the dating ultra sound to be about 5 weeks. Ok cool so I ovulated late. Last week I had another ultrasound and was overjoyed to see a little 3mm bean with a flicker. The next day the doctor called me and burst my bubble. Said the heart rate came in at 50. Very very low. More blood work was done and happy to say my hormone levels are still climbing. I have another ultra sound in 7 days to see if the heart rate increased. Doctor said not to worry or stress too much (ya right) because she's seen this go both ways. Either the heart rate will normalize or the pregnancy will be determined to not be viable. I am beyond stressed. No cramps no bleeding. Morning sickness is a check and my boobs are on and off sore. Idk what to do with myself until I go to the ultra sound next week. Doc said stress is the worst right now but seriously...how do I NOT stress ?!
Hey guys! For an update... got a call this morning that my blood work came back perfect. So repeat u/s on Monday. Fingers crossed my dates were a little off
