Appointment on Thursday but it will just be weigh in and heartbeat. I believe glucose will be at 28 weeks.
Rant: I am either incredibly impatient or just the worse but I feel like time is literally DRAGGING by. I don’t want my little one to come early but can it be May now?
Rave: Feeling her move a lot more lately. Really hoping DH will be able to feel her in the next few weeks. Although she tends to stop moving as soon as someone touches my stomach.
GYKY: I wanted to be a Marine Biologist, although I thought that was basically a dolphin trainer hahah.
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 25w1d, May 6, Size of napa cabbage, baseball glove, prairie dog, or cauliflower apparently. @bjkay22 I feel like my app said GI Joe size weeks ago....either your 24 week size comparison seems small or my current baseball glove size seems huge! hahah(ETA: now that I have googles a bit, I guess GI Joe action figures are bigger. I was thinking of the little tiny green plastic army men. I was going to say....how on earth is your baby that small?!)
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Overall just really tired and nauseated. Busy season at work is picking up and I am literally counting down the days before maternity leave. But, we have been making progress painting the nursery and our guest room!
Any upcoming appointments? Just had gestational diabetes screening last week. Not GD, in fact....quite the opposite. I am actually at risk for hypoglycemia and my blood glucose was lower than standard during the 1 hr GD test. This could partly explain why I have been constantly nauseous for the last 20 weeks.
GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why? I wanted to be on Broadway because I loved to perform. I ended up being a tax accountant hahah
@kpc914 my mom said the same thing! I was like Mom, you are thinking of Army men, GI Joe is like Barbie sized, maybe a little bigger. Hahah. These comparisons are all not great. I’m glad we are getting to the point where it is easier to say pounds and inches. Also crying at your broadway dreams turning into an accountant. Hahahahahah so funny. I wanted to train dolphins but I didn’t learn to swim until the 7th grade and I’m still not great at it. Haha
@bjkay22 dolphins were my favorite animal when I was little! @kpc914 I hope continuing to try to eat throughout the day helps keep the hypoglycemia at bay (I think that's what you said on the other thread, not sure if the doctor had any additional tips). But I hope your nausea and lightheadedness start improving or the doctors can help now that they know what the issue is. How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 25w1d. 5/6. Prairie dog. What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? It's my birthday week. Now that I am over 30, birthdays are just depressing. Any upcoming appointments? I have my GD test the day after my bday. They wanted to schedule it on my bday and I said nope. I hope the test goes okay. GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why? I wanted to be a famous singer or musician. I'm shy, so I don't know why I thought that was a good idea. Went the engineering route instead (much better for a shy nerd). Looks like we've have had some major curveballs from our initial dreams ha.
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 24+6 What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Rave-I'm loving this warmer weather, I hope it sticks around for a little while, but I'm not holding my breath. Over the weekend, we started getting the girls' playroom packed up and taken to storage, so I feel like my nesting has started setting in a little. Both for the baby and for getting our house on the market, the motivation feels good, and I'm loving de-cluttering! Rant-I have a terrible headache right now, ick. I scheduled my patient's pretty horrible today, one at 8 and one at 11, so I didn't get to eat much until 1:00. Any upcoming appointments? Normal midwives appointment on Wednesday, and glucose test hopefully the same day. I still have to call and see if I need an appointment or if I can just walk in and do it whenever.....oops. GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why? I always either wanted to be a teacher or a pediatrician, not really sure why. But I ended up being a nurse, and now I work in research at a Children's hospital, so I guess I didn't veer too far off my aspirations.

How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 25 weeks, May 6th, Prairie dog
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? I could rant about pregnancy symptoms that suck: still have the nausea/vomiting if I skip the zofran, a rash, and insomnia.
Any upcoming appointments? Later this week-gestational diabetes test and NST
GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why? A magician or a shark marine biologist. That somehow left me being a nurse.
@silverhope happy birthday week! What day is your birthday?
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 24w,3d. Due May 12. Cantaloupe! What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? We leave for our babymoon on Friday! I am so excited to have a break from work!! I am feeling kinda crappy this week. Kicks are happening less and freaking me out. I have SUPER bad acid reflux/heartburn and I can't seem to curb it. It's painful and annoying. I'm also experiencing really sore joints/muscles despite not having done anything to make them sore. Ugh pregnancy... Any upcoming appointments? Had one last Friday and heard the heartbeat again - about 150. Next midwife appt is mid-Feb. and same with the GD test. GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why?
I wanted to be a teacher at one point. Now I work for the government doing property and project management. Pretty different too lol.
@babys_2018 I have noticed the kicking seems less frequent too. I was freaking out last night when LO wasn't kicking as I laid down to bed (like he usually does). But luckily he started punching me again this morning
My birthday is tomorrow Today is actually my family dog's birthday--she is 18! Below is a pic of her (from 5.5 years ago...she's a little whiter and calmer now).
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
25 weeks. Due May 8. Baby is a cauliflower - gross
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
A little better than last week, at least! I took the 5 days total rest recommended by the doctor and it actually did seem to help. I'm still sore from the SPD, but haven't had the horrible stabbing pains like I did last week. Now I need to figure out how much walking/working around the house I can actually do without hurting myself again. I am worried about not being able to get baby stuff done because DH is not super productive without me! Not to mention the constant sitting around makes me feel gross and blah and I think has caused the uptick in anxiety I've had this week. I have an appointment with a pregnancy focused chiropractor on Friday and I'm hoping she will have some advice on that point.
Any upcoming appointments?
Just the chiro as mentioned above. My next appointment with the OB isn't for a couple weeks.
GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why?
I was all over the place with the various careers that children always seem to dream of. I wanted to be an artist for a sizeable amount of time, which is funny since I can barely draw a straight line with a ruler.
@babys_2018 I also noticed a bit of a drop in baby activity over the weekend, and it freaked me out. But now it seems to have jumped back up to where it was before. Have an awesome time on your trip, I'm looking forward to hearing how it was!
@silverhope happy almost birthday! I'm 34 and still get excited for my birthday, but then again I am an actual child.
@silverhope I had the same experience last night! I wasn't feeling baby so I got paranoid and pulled out the doppler to check heartbeat. This morning, baby was kicking like crazy! Glad I was freaking out for no reason.
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 24 + 5 / May 10th / 1.5 pounds-ish
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Not too much new. Sciatica pain mostly in check for now. Totally forgot to ask the doc about it today at my appointment! I really need to write things down.
Any upcoming appointments? Had my glucose test and regular appointment this morning. The test was actually not as bad for me this time as it was last time. The procedure was a little different, so it somehow made it easier.
GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why? Oh, so many! One was a librarian because I loved to read and wanted to read books aloud to kids. Guess what? I'm not a librarian, but I get to read books aloud to a kid every day! And I worked at the library in college and got to do the "cool" job of checking out books for people.
@babys_2018I feel like the kicks this time around are super unpredictable. I can go awhile in between them. I think kick counts start at 28 weeks? Hoping the kicks get more regular by then!
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
24 Weeks 3 days, May 12, cantaloupes
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
My mom is visiting me this week and I have my baby shower on Saturday!
Belly is definitely large and in charge. It’s getting hard to move around when I’m sleeping. It’s an ordeal whenever I need to turn and my back is starting to hurt pretty bad. I still have so long to go
Any upcoming appointments?
my next appointment is on the 30th
GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why?
I literally used to say I wanted to be a cashier when I grew up. I guess my dreams came true around age 18 haha. Such little ambition.
@lincbeesmom I think it's so cute when little kids get so excited about jobs or activities that adults sometimes think of as not-so-exciting. Reminds me to appreciate the small things
@lincbeesmom That was one of my dream jobs too! The beeping noise is so much fun! I never actually did this job, but I'm pretty slow with self-checkouts, so that's probably a good thing.
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 24w 4d, cantaloupe, due May 11th
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? cranky, I wish I could say otherwise, but I haven't been very patient lately, which gets me cranky. I'm ready for it to go away.
Any upcoming appointments? 2/8, appt and 4d u/s for growth and fun pictures
GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why? a teacher or a veterinarian. I still love animals! I am an RN, so I guess I stuck with the medical field, and there is a lot of teaching involved in nursing. Ha
How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 26 weeks today. Size of a squash? (per Ovia)
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Not much, just hanging in there. I'm taking it day by day now and I can't wait until third trimester!
Any upcoming appointments? In two weeks, when I'm almost at 28 weeks. It's also my one hour glucose test. Wish me luck!
GTKY: What career or job did you aspire to as a child and why? Honestly I don't remember! As a kid you are so naive about the real world and the types of jobs out there. If I had a do-over, I'd probably try for med school.
