  • @zamora_spin Is the vet just for check-ups/shots? It's brave to take three in at once! I always schedule my two separately as I'm pretty sure something would go horribly wrong if I tried to do it together!
@kristah2 I actually like having family coming as an excuse to clean! We don't deep clean enough so it gives me some motivation to get it done. My mom totally wouldn't care if we didn't clean but it would drive me nuts for her to see my place so disorganized! Haha - by the end of my FW I'm always the same way - just get it done and let it be over!
@catlady2015 I hope your meeting goes well - let us know what it ends up being about! My mom won't be here until probably the weekend of February 17/18. **TW kids - she is coming to help DH with my two kids while I'm in Europe for two weeks as I'm the one that does all the daycare/school drop offs and picks ups and if DH had to do those he'd only get like 2 hours at work each day because of his commute. But the weekend before that - on the 10th - we are having my DS's birthday party at our house so I want it clean by then so that a dozen pre-schoolers can mess it back up, lol! End TW**

  • @acciocoffee good luck with the job application!
@kristah2 so excited for your positive OPK, but bummer the mood wasn't there. As much as I enjoy your updates, here's to hoping we don't see you on here next month!
@catlady2015 ahh! good luck at the meeting! what a great meeting invite! also, do you have an awesome go to recipe for that frosting that you wouldn't mind sharing?

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 11

    WAYDTGKU: OPK, BBT (sort of)

R/R: scale isn't dropping as fast as I like, but workouts have been awesome so I will rave about that!

C/S: daily OPKs right now. starting to take guesses on how to time throughout the upcoming FW, but I'm just not sure.

GTKY: I'm sure we've done this one before but hopefully not in a while - What's your go-to dish to bring to a party?  My favorite brownie recipe

    WAYDTGKU:bbt,cm,opk,hio

R/R:So enjoying the milder temps we`ve been having. The pup has been spending a lot more time outside learning to be nice to the chickens.

    C/S:nope

GTKY: I'm sure we've done this one before but hopefully not in a while - What's your go-to dish to bring to a party? Pizza pinwheels

  • @chopchop25 definite bummer on the no mood, but at least we got that timing in I guess!  Timing during FW is rough when you're not exactly sure when FW is. We starting timing at CD11 - I thought I was close so we started everyday, and I wasn't willing to wait for a +opk in case that was too late - now we're both so not in the mood but I'm close to / hitting O so we can't stop now! I hope you work out your timing better then I did!
  • Month/Cycle: 4/5

    CD: 4

WAYDTGKU: bbt, hio, opk, pnv, all the acronyms

R/R: Both DH and I had the day off yesterday so we did a huge clean of our apartment. Between our opposite schedules and a sick dog, our place was a mess! No rants today!

    C/S: none!

GTKY: I'm sure we've done this one before but hopefully not in a while - What's your go-to dish to bring to a party? I usually bring my buffalo chicken dip to a party. Super easy and a huge hit usually.

@zamora_spin GL with your three pups at the vet. It is a hassle just bringing my 1 so I cant imagine three at the same time!
@elothair Thats a great way of cleaning, makes it seem way more manageable to do one room/level at a time.
@kristah2 Have fun at lunch with YH! I love when mine takes me to lunch when hes off and im working.
    @catlady2015 GL in your meeting!
@acciocoffee That is strange about your face lotion.. Which brand was it? I have good luck with Aveeno
@chopchop25 My scale isnt dropping either but keep up with the workouts! Perhaps you are gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat so you may not see a huge decrease on the scale but keep working!!
@Stargazer1lily Those pinwheels look so yummy!

  • @nmbrcrnchr1 yay for +opks!! you got a positive today, would you count today as O and tomorrow +1 or tomorrow O?
@kobrien827 Thanks!  It's refreshing to get a clean when life has been so hectic!
  • @nmbrcrnchr1 congrats on the positive opk!
  • @zamora_spin wow to your temp spikes! Also, what kind of dogs do you have? How do you take them all 3 at once?
@kristah2  have fun on your lunch date, I love those although we don’t get them often.
@catlady2015  good luck at your lunch meeting, you’ll have to keep us updated on the good news!
@chopchop25  nice job on the workouts, I need to be more consistent on mine. I read somewhere it takes at least 2 weeks for your body to start changing from working out so stick with it, easier said than done I know.

  • @kobrien827 It is Shea Moisture brand. I love their hair stuff and body lotion so I assumed their face stuff would be the same. I've had luck with Aveeno in the past so maybe I will go back to it. I just need something really good to use at night to stop my face from peeling every morning. So annoying.
  • @ChloandCoco no where special - just a coffee shop! But nice to get together! exciting you're talking about building a house!!

  • @acciocoffee They are so good, and so easy! I get asked to bring them all the time now. How exciting to have a new job on the horizon! Good luck!
@kobrien827 I love buffalo chicken dip - it's what my sister always requests if she's coming over for food! Definitely makes cleaning easier to do a bit at a time - until you get to the last pile of stuff that doesn't have a home but you don't want to throw out!
@ChloandCoco Yes - I also love my lash tech so we spend the whole time gabbing which is a nice distraction from real life. Building a house seems like such a scary process! We've talked about it a few times but wouldn't even know where to start. I hope your appointment goes well!
@nmbrcrnchr1 Woohoo for a positive OPK! And yes to finding options on Pinterest - although I usually like to try them out before I have to bring them somewhere else because I've had so many horrible failures from there!

R/R: ****TW KID STUFF**** Molars suck, and I'm afraid my temperature is off because of it. I haven't even gone back to look, let alone enter it into my chart. ****END TW****

    C/S: Nah

GTKY: Good question. I have a spouse social this evening that I'm supposed to be co-hosting, but I might skip it given the crappy sleep I got last night. If it's summer though, I like making Roseanne Cash's Potato Salad, as posted on Smitten Kitchen.

  • Love tits to all because I've lost my motivation to individually reply to everyone.

I'm hoping it's the season but I just don't feel like getting anything done. I should be cleaning up my fish tanks tonight but I reeeeeeally don't wanna. It's also my turn to cook dinner - again, I don't wanna!!
  • @zamora_spin That's great that it was a successful vet visit! No, our corgi doesn't get into any mischief. She does like to chew buttons, wooden kid toys, and shoe laces. She can barely make it on our couch/bed, so she can't reach a lot of stuff.
  • @kimberbeep H was telling me yesterday that this week is also known as winter blue week. It's the week where the sun is up the shortest, the excitement from Christmas has worn off and it is another long time before we see another break for a statutory holiday. Plus so many of us are in the snow-grind.
Think you can get away with take out and a night curled up on the couch doing nothing? We all deserve it sometimes!!
  • @kristah2 - I've been curling up on the couch after work all week! I know I'm in a funk, I just can't shake it! I might try to get away with doing the bare minimum with my tanks today, because I didn't clean them out last week like I should have! I kind of want to hibernate and come back out in a few weeks...

Finally took a look at all the assignments I have for school/fieldwork this semester and it’s a lot more than I expected.  Kind of nervous about getting pregnant now and managing that with first tri sickness.  I know every pregnancy is different but there’s pretty much zero chance I won’t have MS.

    C/S:
Got a flashing smiley on OPK this morning (high fertility) but still have creamy CM so I think I’m gonna wait at least a day before jumping my H.

GTKY: I'm sure we've done this one before but hopefully not in a while - What's your go-to dish to bring to a party?

I don’t think I have one.  Maybe chili?

  • @kristah2 I’m temping as well and had a slight dip this morning, based on that and I have ovulation “pains” im guessing O is today. I’ll take another OPK this afternoon and then see if my temp goes up tomorrow. I would assume FF will give me crosshairs for today but...who knows!?!
@zamora_spin Omg, I love dogs! Thanks for sharing the pics...so cute!
@kimberbeep I’m with you on being in a funk! I have no motivation to do anything I need to do ...Hibernation sounds like a great idea.
Was it the pinkish pot?!?!  I’ve had this SAME issue!
  • @jrm_14 YES!!! I'm so glad I'm not alone! My face is still hurting and it's been hours since I wiped it all off.
  • @jrm_14 I did some research and it looks like this is really common and it possibly gave me a chemical burn. How is this even ok to sell?!  I don't even know what to do now. Vaseline seemed to clear up the issues it gave me around my eyes earlier this week so I'm just going to see if that works on the rest of my face for now.
  • @acciocoffee I have generally been on a mission to use beauty products without fragrances and with low overall chemicals. I bought a cream called "Honeyskin" that I saw recommended on the ISWTE website. It's thick and not glamorous (it smells like nothing) but apparently folks with eczema use it. I liked it as a face and hand cream. I switched to a lotion I buy locally that is fragrance and chemical free, but it's not as intensely hydrating as the Honeyskin. I'm sorry your skin reacted that way, how frustrating!
  • Yay @catlady2015!! Congrats on a great review!!
  • @acciocoffee - I have been using a face cream from GNC (E, A, & D Moisturizing Cream https://www.gnc.com/womens-health/375827.html#q=cream&lang=default&start=1) It's definitely not "natural" and probably has fragrance in it, but it's been working really well for me for the past year. I got it because I used to walk 2-3 miles to get to/from work and the winter wind was really drying up my cheeks! It goes on really light, feels almost like water, and isn't greasy at all. Plus, it's $2 and lasted me almost a whole year. I hate spending $$ on good lotion when it feels greasy and doesn't do a good job!
  • My OPK was negative this afternoon. Would I count today as O or yesterday when it was positive?
  • @kristah2 According to Fertility Friend, you ovulate within 24 hours of the LH surge. So, you should today as O.

WAYDTGKU: Still waiting for AF to GTFO

R/R: Felt a bit more normal today. Actually started cleaning again and trying to get back into a daily routine. We also had some lovely sunshine today which is rare for English winters :) Decided to cut coffee this cycle. I've switched to tea...I also broke out the pom juice!

    C/S: Nothing to see.

GTKY: I'm a pinterest person too...I like to experiment on people. Lol. Usually it's done kind if dessert though.

  • @catlady2015 she is sooo sweet. She technically lives with my mom (Mom wouldn’t let me take her with me when I moved in with DH) but i took her to the vet while my mom was at work because we were all worried about her— she’s a chewer and we thought she might’ve swallowed something. They are seriously the best dogs. Nugget is a therapy dog and my mom takes her to hospitals to visit with people. She’s especially popular with amputees for obvious reasons.
