What are you eating? If you're in the cold (most of us are, I think) what warm-you-up dishes do you have planned? Bonus for other planned lunches or snacks to help fight that increasing pregnancy hunger!!
We had a skillet ravioli lasagna the other night, DH has some Indian type chicken in the crockpot now and it’s kind of stinky so I’m breathing through my mouth hahah
Made a quiche last night that will last today too. Also going to make shredded salsa chicken in the crock pot. Meatballs is on the agenda for the week too and not sure after that! Mostly I just want fries and noodles so I'll prob just eat that
Monday: Quiche. Not sure what kind. SO is home today so he'll make whatever flavor he feels like Tuesday: Pesto Pasta and Zucchini/Onion stirfry Wednesday: Cheesy couscous and broccoli in a risotto style Thursday: Veggie chili in the crockpot to fight off the frigid weather! Friday: Ricotta pasta spinach bake (inspired by someone from last week's thread!) Saturday: Tilapia, asparagus and mashed potatoes
At 11+4, my pregnancy appetite is ramping up. So, this week I packed yogurt cups for a morning snack and grapes/crackers for an afternoon snack to help keep me in check.
Monday: Chicken Enchiladas Tuesday: Leftover Enchiladas Wednesday: Pancakes and bacon Thursday: Potato Soup Friday: Potato Soup Saturday: DD's 1st birthday "party" so we are having a Chili Bar, Salad, Cornbread, Cupcakes
@ecwk I don’t use a recipe. I just throw it all in the crockpot with some broth and season it how I like. Today I put a ton of garlic in, but sometimes I add onions. I’ve also subbed butternut squash for the potatoes and that’s really good, too.

Help me out because I suck. WHat cut of beef do you use and do you pre cook anything before putting it in crockpot? Maybe parboil potatoes or sear the beef?
@ecwk No recipe here either. It's really easy. I get the Near East boxes of couscous with the spice packs and make it per the box. When it's done and still hot, I mix in some cheese and maybe a little heavy cream or milk to give it a good consistency. Then I mix in some steamed broccoli or whatever veg I want with it. Fast and easy weeknight dinner.

That sounds sooooo good and comforting. Plus veggies so winning!
M- slow cooker pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw T- roasted veggies with rice W- left over pork Th- grilled chicken, some kind of starchy side, and green beans F- Lasagna
Ugh we grocery shopped on Saturday when I was feeling great but then yesterday my nausea came back so I don't know how many of our planned meals I will be able to eat, last night DH made stir fry and it made me gag so I microwaved some frozen chicken fettuccine alfredo.
But, the plan is: Tonight: salmon and asparagus and brown rice Tuesday: chicken fajitas Wednesday: zoodles with ground beef and crushed tomatoes Thursday: chili

@ecwk Yup, that's the stuff. I really like it - and it's pretty easy to make so that's a double win for me. The only issue I have is that I want to eat a lot of it...
This week we had BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and tonight in making crockpot Caesar salad sandwiches on whole wheat buns! They are amazing and I've been craving Caesar but can't always have it, but with this recipe I know there's none of the ingredients we can't have while pregnant!
The meal plan this week was supposed to be chicken Alfredo, venison with ramen (20-min meal we like), spaghetti, venison stroganoff, and ordering out for Chinese.
When it gets cold like this, one of my fave meals is chicken noodle stew. I call it stew b/c I make it thicker & heartier than soup. I buy a cold rotisserie chicken on sale, cut off and chunk about 1lb of cooked meat. Put 1qt chicken stock in a pan with frozen carrots, chopped fresh spinach, minced garlic, celery flakes, onion powder, a little paprika, and a little Creole seasoning. When the stock is boiling, I add yolk-free egg noodles and the chunked chicken. (No Yolks are my fave brand of noodles for this.) Simmer about 20 mins and eat. Because I don’t use a ton of stock, there are more veggies, pasta, & meat than liquid. If I want to thicken it, I mix a bit of cornstarch & cold water and add it to the mix.

I just get stew beef at the store. I usually get Nolan Ryan’s brand because Texas . No need to precook anything. It all cooks together in the crockpot. Fresh or frozen, doesn’t matter. This is why I use my crockpot so much!
