  • @amy8686 don't lose hope, I remember a lady from another thread in here, she only got a squinter with FMU day before her beta, and she is in her second trimester now! It is just too early!
Afm, remember I was all happy about different type of PIO I got... I take that back! I have lumps and my bum hurts! And nothing helps! I want normal PIO back. Also I keep waiting for cramps and so far nothing.

  • @tnh0413 instead of regular PIO ( in sesame oil) I am now using Progesterone in Ethyloleate, because of the PIO shortage. I liked it for a couple of days but now I have knots at injection sites and it hurts. I am wondering when I can score some regular PIO again.

Knottie17663111 how are you doing? Big day tomorrow! We are all cheering for you!

AFM, 2dp5dt and no cramping and no symptoms. Can somebody please talk some sense into me and tell me that it is way too early to feel anything. I am back at work and it takes all my will power to no google everything I can about how I am supposed to feel at 2dp5dt.

  • @DecemberDoll27 I didn't have any cramping or any symptoms either and still have not. I was getting pretty upset and google was not my friend. I went for blood tests yesterday and the nurse said not to worry about it (maybe that's what they all say just so you don't panic for a week). She said some people do not experience any cramping and the transfer is still successful, I am just holding on to that! I am still nervous though.
  • @DecemberDoll27 have you tried Freedom? Hey seem to have PIO.

And yes, 2dp5tr is WAY too early!

Tomorrow is my baseline! If all goes well, a week from today is my transfer day!

  • Thanks everyone for the well-wishes.  Im sorry to say my beta came back negative. I was so crushed to hear it.  Im going to keep on PIO for a couple days, and do a home test just to be sure i am not one of those people who tests poorly, but Im already on the bandwagon of using an egg donor.  I originally did not like the idea because I thought that then there would not be any of me in the baby, but apparently that is not how it works.  I did not know that my RNA and DNA play a part and the baby ends up with all 3 parents.  Amazing.  So I am going to start searching.  Anyone have any experience with that?

  • @DecemberDoll27 what about progesterone in olive oil? That’s what I use. I did the ethyl oleate for a few days and it was horrible! I feel your pain!!
  • @littledarlins I am so sorry for your BFN! There is a donor egg thread on here and the ladies there are awesome! So they might offer some help for you.

@prudence9-2 I will try Freedom, I will call them later today! Good luck with the baseline! Your transfer is on the day of my beta! Hopefully it will be a good day for both of us. I am confused about how my RE schedules beta testing. After my fresh cycle he made me test 11dp5dt, after my first FET the beta was 10dp5dt and now beta is 9dp5dt. I am not complaining by all means but it seems confusing to me.

Also, PIO makes me so sleepy, it is crazy. I had a nap yesterday for 2.5 hours, then I went t bed at 10pm and had no issues falling asleep ( I normally need melatonin and a hour in bed to fall asleep), I struggled to wake up at 7:30 today to go to work and right now I can barely keep my eyes open, I need a nap again!

@DecemberDoll27 My clinic does beta after 14 days!!! Last time they let me do beta after 12 days. But that’s the minimum they allow.

  • @littledarlins I am so so sorry to hear. Sending all good energy and love your way! I never knew that about egg donor! Wow isn’t it amazing what can be done??

My clinic tests at day 10 after a 5dt, so I have until Monday. I definitely plan to do a HPT this weekend and definitely Monday morning.

i didn’t know about the PIO shortage! I work for the hospital here in town so I have to use their specialty pharmacy and they haven’t mentioned it at all to me even when I picked up a refill last week. Is it made in Puerto Rico? We’ve had a lot of shortages of various premixed meds and IV bags in the hospital and in my clinic due to the pharma companies being damaged from the back to back hurricanes in PR.

  • Also, AFM the PIO definitely makes me exhausted. I fell asleep on the couch last night well before 9 and slept wonderfully straight through til 6AM lol. We have a snow day here today and my work closed at lunch so I’m anticipating a nap shortly haha!

Also, my breasts are SOOO sore and feel humongous! I’m hoping this is a good sign bc I don’t think I noticed this with my last FET—but I’ve also read the PIO can mimic pregnancy symptoms too.

  • @DecemberDoll27 My response below...

    ***TW***
FET #1: tested on day 11. Got BFP!!! (Pregnancy ended few weeks later)

FET #2: tested early. Started seeing lines on day 8, I think. Line got stronger on day 9 and weaker on day 10.... so I knew it was a possible CP... it was the worst as I had to keep doing PIO. And once you get these results PIO hurts 10 times more. Day 14 beta was weak... day 16 beta confirmed CP...

FET #3: after the horrible experience of #2 waited to test the day before the beta. This time they let me take the beta on day 12... hpt on day 11 came negative...

    ***END TW***

so if I can hold off, I won’t test. Maybe the day before. Ahh.

  • I've been out of town for the past few days so I'm just now catching up with everything here. Tomorrow is my FET. My husband and I went to NYC for a quick 36 hour trip to celebrate our anniversary. We were due to fly back home early this morning, but because of all of the bad weather our flight was cancelled. We ended up flying into a different city and renting a car and then driving 4 hours to get home. My husband was in such a panic to get me home. Luckily I packed all the medication I need until right up until the transfer so nothing was missed and we got home with plenty of time to spare.

On the topic of PIO, I have the alternative stuff and 4 days in... I don't mind it (maybe I'll regret saying that later on?). My husband is definitely thankful for it because if you guys recall he is a needle phobia and this PIO is much thinner than the sesame oil stuff. We usually have him rub the injection site for a few minutes after and that's really helped keep the knots down. I usually only have pretty small bumps. I don't use ice or heat. I do warm the vial up against my skin for a few minutes before injecting too.

@littledarlins I'm sorry it didn't work out this time around. That's great news about the egg donor thing though. I had no idea either! Big hugs to you.

@DecemberDoll27 Thanks for remembering! I'm a little nervous. I got my appointment confirmation call today and I was told they want me to have two full bottles of water in my system for the transfer. If I have that much water in my bladder on a good day I would be about to explode. Other than that, I'm doing ok and excited to get the ball rolling.

Sending positive thoughts to everyone during their TWW! I don't plan to use a HPT before my beta on Feb 1. We'll see. haha

@rachelbeth130 Good luck on Friday! Hope your transfer goes well!

@Knottie17863111 so glad you made it back before today!! Good luck and All the sticky vibes your way today! I live in NC and the whole state is pretty much shut down due to ice on the roads. I’ve been watching a lot of standup comedy on Netflix, if you like that sort of thing—lots of belly laughs!!

AFM: I caved and HPT this morning at 6dp5dt and ***TW** It was a BFP! **end tw***

i know it still doesn’t mean anything but I’m happy it’s not a BFN. I’ve never ever had a BFP before so it felt pretty awesome. It was one of the clear blue digital so don’t know how dark/light the line would’ve been if it was a line test.

Beta is Monday and I’ll def test again Monday morn!

  • @littledarlins - So sorry this one did not go your way, but that's great that you already have a next step! I'm the same way whenever something fails (actually before it fails) - I'm ready to make the next plans. I don't know much about egg donation, but I've done a good amount of research on embryo donation because we HOPE to have success before we go through all of our embryos and we'd love to donate them to someone else. I think it's exciting that the kid would have more connections in the world, genetic and otherwise.

@Knottie17863111 - Congrats!!! That's a very good sign if it turned positive so soon.
