How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 24w4d, 5/3, cantaloupe. (AS last week said I’m due 5/4 but same thing, and I’m used to this...)
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? I’m having some slight gender disappointment. I think it’ll pass soon, especially since I’ve started planning out a Star Trek nursery, but I’m mourning the idea that I’ll never have a daughter. I have a great opportunity to raise two wonderful boys into kind and compassionate men, but there were a few things I was looking forward to teaching a daughter that aren’t necessary to a son. (Like the spiritual component of your menstrual cycle for one major one)
Any upcoming appointments? Tomorrow I have a routine visit. Hopefully nothing comes out of it. What was your favorite book as a kid? What stories are you looking forward to sharing with your LO? My favorite book(s) as a kid was Battle for the Castle by Elizabeth Warren. I read it so many times the spine fell apart. I had snagged it at a scholastic book fair when I was in kindergarten and it took me a few months but I read the entire book that year.
I’m most looking forward to sharing chronicles of narnia and Harry Potter with my boys though. I love how immersive those two worlds are, and I love that they have strong leaders who fight for justice and what’s right for everyone.
