Re: Symptoms w/o 1/8

  • Headaches and hunger are my main issues right now. Other than that, exhausted, gassy, and super moody.

  • Something's up with my hip. I had it pre pregnancy so I think it's exercise related. It feels like a knot in my glute but it's bothering my hip. May be piriformis syndrome again, ugh. Lying on my right side is uncomfortable.
  • I have serious indigestion. I have like, constipated diarrhea (TMI, I know). Like, I feel like my butt is going to explode and have horrid gas pains but nothing is coming out when I sit. Also, I feel like its from juice. I just put it together but I had OJ today and the last time I had a Naked juice I felt horrible as well. Sigh.
  • @owl_momma Sameeee with the back pain, it's so bad. Everything hurts.

Also the daily headaches are a bit much. I'm hesitant to take Tylenol every single day so I usually just suffer through it. Waiting for my appointment tomorrow to see if my ob has any suggestions.
  • i just posted this in the questions but man the boob pain is so uncomfortable. I never had this with my first. it feels like clogged duct almost

  • Is anyone else getting heart palpitations? I read it's normal in pregnancy due to increased blood volume and you're body is working harder, but it gets uncomfortable. How is anyone else dealing if they're experiencing this?
  • @nimmle yes! I have. Some days are worse that others. Seems to be worse in the evenings at times. I had random palpitations when I wasn't pregnant. Even went to the cardiologist to get my heart checked out because I was sure there was something wrong...there wasn't. So I'm not freaking out over this increase in palpitations and just attributing it to baby

  • @lindsayleigh1989 yes with the boob pain feels like I’m lactating or clogged up too. Not fun
  • I had that weird pain behind my belly button for the first time and a stretched ligament all the way up the middle of my tummy. So weird since babe isn't even up there yet! But made stories before bed with DS super uncomfy.
  • @lindsayleigh1989 I get weird nipple like it's caught on my bra (tmi? weird?) But I'm with you on the boob pain!
Although my boobs aren't as sore as they were during my last pregnancy. It just the weird random pain.
  • @lindsayleigh1989 I have an odd side boob pain. Same spot every time. I’m slightly nervous about it. It just paranoid. My mom had ovarian cancer In her 20’s so any random bloat or breast issue makes me anxious
  • @elizabethrn87 so sorry she went through that! completely makes sense why you would feel nervous. I wish I know more about anatomy because I have the same side pain you are talking about and wonder if there is glands or muscles preparing or something like that?

@lindsayleigh1989 the boob pain is SO REAL. And also, probably TMI but, my nipples are just always hard and sore. So sore.

I’m a FTM and it’s honestly making me question whether or not I can handle breastfeeding. If they’re this sore already what’s it going to feel like when a small human is constantly attached to them?!

To answer your question, it feels like the first couple layers of skin is ripped off of your nipple... Then attach it to a teeny tiny screaming vacuum cleaner. Don’t get me started on let downs and clogged ducts.
But don’t worry, it gets better lol.
  • Lol. The first week or 2 of breastfeeding was painful for me. But it got better. What never really went away was my concern that my daughter was gonna suffocate because my boobs were so big.

i do do have the itchy boobs and tummy. And I’m wondering when or if I will ever need less than 23 hours of sleep again!

I bled so bad with breastfeeding. DS would have blood mixed with his spit up. I switch to pumping and was able to successfully latch him again around 3 months (no nipple confusion). I had super painful let down and got horrible anxiety with each session. I hope it’s better with #2.

My MIL had told me they would recommend sand papering your nipples before birth to get them raw and ready (build callus) yeah not gonna happen for me lol

edit to mention that i didn’t have nipple sensitivity when he relatched. It’s like the pump prepared me
  • Thanks for the reassurance, @acunamatada! My fears are completely gone lmao  :D
  • @samjjorgensen lol we have to be honest with eachother! It’s not all rainbows and puppy dog tails, BF HURTS MAN. But really, if you stick it out (and you don’t have other conflicts) it’s awesome and so worth it. It’s just 2-3 weeks of toe curling torture lol. I used to joke that it was worse than the unmedicated childbirth I went through because it happened every 20 damn minutes.
  • That made me LOL at midnight @angleyes989
  • @nimmle I just got on to ask about this. I wake up with a hr around 95 to 100 at night mainly. It wakes me up. My Dr didn't seem concerned when I told her at my visit on Wednesday. But it's freaking me out and I think making it worse because I get anxious. I don't remember this with my first.
  • thanks @wildtot!

@owl_momma I just brought up the same thing with my OB.  she said to get a belly band thing called a mini cradle.
  • @brittany121087 It's totally frustrating and it adds anxiety which I'm sure contributes to more of it. For me I'm in a very slow period at work and not stressed at all and just sitting around all day. However I'm sitting and my desk and my heart is racing. Really crazy.
  • So wonderful, no throwing up the whole pregnancy so far and when do I feel like I'm about to throw up? During a client conference call. Thankfully their video wasn't working. I reached out for my trashcan but thankfully it went away although I do feel nauseus still.

I blame the two portions of ravioli last night and hot tea on an empty stomach. Hopefully nothing more than a weird, passing feeling.
  • @nimmle So glad you mentioned this — mine are out of control! No matter how much they tell me it’s common and doesn’t hurt you...it’s still uncomfortable and unsettling!
  • Ok real talk- when are my boobs gonna get bigger? I feel like I had a small spurt right away and now nothing. This will be the first time in my life I actually get boobs so I’m ready for the growth haha
  • @kinny512 mine only go up to a full D, when I am usually between a c and d not preggo. I don't know if its diff when breastfeeding I've never made it that far with it, but mine don't get huge. You might be one of those people too!

haha I 100% appreciate the honesty, @acunamatada! I’m looking forward to and completely dreading it. Although the pain would be worth it if I get an experience like @angleyeskkhr

  • @SmashJamWhy you gotta break my heart like that on a Friday?  :D
  • Guys, I have a new symptom. It's called, "eating everything in sight" and it makes me so happy.

Seriouslt though, glad that nausea is gone and my appetite is back!

@kinny512 I have THE tiniest boobs EVER! With my last pregnancy, they went from an A to a C by the third tri, and stayed pretty big for awhile. I was SO happy!!!! Best time of my life. Haha!!
  • @kinny512 with my first I didn't have much change until after my daughter was born

  • @kinny512 with DS i stayed small up to i delivered then they were huge. Went from small B to full C. This time around they are getting bigger earlier (almost a c) but maybe it’s because they were already stretched out and deflated. Nice to have some boobage lol
  • I swear I’m hungry 20 minutes after eating, no matter what I eat. So annoying.

    Samesies!
  • This is the first day in 6-7 weeks I have not woken up nauseous! I have a wicked headache, but not nauseous! And I couldn't sleep last night so I am exhausted.
  • @kinny512 last time mine grew a bit then stopped in pregnancy....and then my milk came in and I had massive boulders. It was so uncomfortable, I’m not looking forward to that part again!

Today I’m adding clumsiness and constipation...yaaaay #sarcasm. I’ve spilled my coffee twice this morning  :'(

  • Has anyone had any tightening (I hate to use the word contractions) while exercising?

I don't remember this til way later on last time. I was loading up my car with tons of stuff for work last night and had to come in and sit down cause I was so tired and my whole tummy got super hard. I just was overdoing it. Nothing crazy heavy, really, but I still feel this way today! No pain.

  • @mamabird18 could be BH? With
DS i had them as early as 18 wks. I occasionally feel some discomfort like that when I’m out and about too much with minimal rest.
  • @mamabird8 probably BH. I noticed them a few days ago, actually when I was laying in bed doing nothing. I think it was because I was dehydrated.
  • I’ve had some uterine cramping on/off this week. I had my 14 week checkup this week and mentioned it to my dr. She didn’t seem too concerned, as long as it wasn’t accompanied with any bleeding or water flow.
