Re: January FET

@DecemberDoll27 - My beta is next week Friday. I'll likely test before then, but I will wait until at least day 7 or so. I've been through the early testing drama and I'd like to avoid unnecessary heartbreak. I'm glad to hear that the other PIO is easier! I wondered if that was the case. I have 3 boxes left of the sesame oil variety, but if this cycle works, I'll have to switch to the other type. Now I'm excited about that.

@bdaisy2761 - My only tip is to not schedule things in the days after! Take it easy, enjoy the down time, and hopefully steer clear of anything that will stress you out. Of course, maybe you're the type that would rather have lots to do so you're distracted, but I prefer a clear-ish calendar so I don't have to worry about whether I'm feeling up to doing things, emotionally or physically.

Good luck tomorrow, @tnh0413 and @bdaisy2761!

@DecemberDoll27 I’ve ate pineapple everyday this week and just left Trader Joe’s with another huge one to eat tonight and tomorrow lol. I had lunch and coffee with one of my best friends today and I’ve been doing laundry and cleaning so I won’t have not a thing to do tomorrow!! I’m getting anxious/excited. It feels a little more exciting this time around so I hope that is a good sign!! @bdaisy2761 what time is yours tomorrow? Mine is 11:30 EST/arrive 10:30 for the pre-Valium.

Has anyone had an sharp twinges of cramping after FET? I didn’t have any with my first one, which ended in CP. last night I had about 30 min of them out of no where. I’m hoping it’s either a normal cramping or an implantation cramp!!

tnh0413 I had cramping, but I am not sure what it means. I was told besides the FET process, taking progesterone can slow down digestion, and so the cramping is actually a little bit of gas, but I havnt asked my doctor. But now I am not feeling them anymore and I am a bit nervous, because that is a change. Should we be feeling anything else? Ive been pretty calm until now, but now Im scared becuase I cant tell if anyhting is happening or it is lost. My beta is on Tuesday and i debated getting a First Response test just because i think it would be fun to actually do that, but i dont know if it will mislead me somehow. Anyone testing early or is everyone waiting for the bloodwork?

@littledarlins - I've been thinking of you and wondering if you had tested early! My plan is the same as @tnh0413, to test shortly before beta just so I can have a clue what the results are before the phone call comes. I'm going to try to hold out until Thursday night, the night before my beta. I've been through the unnecessary heartbreak of testing too early with both of my previous cycles, and I think maybe, just maybe, I've finally learned my lesson? We'll see.

I'm having all sorts of twinges and cramps and I know in my mind that they could be ANYTHING, but it's still impossible not to overanalyze.

@tnh0413, I'm jealous that Colace is all you need! I'm on a cocktail of colace, probiotics, fiber supplements and prune juice each morning (usually coffee, then prune juice, then more coffee), in addition to tons of water and vegetables and fruits. And still I've needed to resort to Milk of Magnesia once. My digestive tract is a delicate flower - any change and it just shuts itself down for a while.

@DecemberDoll27 - Tomorrow's the big day, right? Good luck!

Thank you everyone for the well wishes! Everything seemed to go very well. I am not feeling anything (cramping etc) so I am getting a little nervous about that. I am not going to test early (at least try not to). My husband and I both took off of work next Tuesday, which is when we find out. If I was going to be working, I would probably test before so I did not get that call at work.

@DecemberDoll27 best of luck today! Sending you lots of positive thoughts!

    Congrats!!! @bdaisy2761 and @DecemberDoll27

I had heard that heat was okay, even after transfer, because your bum is not your core, more of an extremity in a way, but maybe they are being overly cautious.  I stopped using it because I was getting such an itchy red reaction, and the nurse recommended avoiding the heating pad, as the increased blood flow could be making the reaction worse.  Icy Hot sounds interesting!  I am just used to them by now, and we just go for it, with a little alcohol rubdown, of course.  Totally nbd after a while.  You'll be fine. ❤
  • Options
@BusinessWife yeah I’ve noticed after a hot shower the two areas on my butt itch like crazy! Must be the heat. I just use the alcohol and throw the PIO in lol, then try to massage right after and then later on if I feel a knot.

  • Options
For everybody who was asking about why no heating pad, they did not really give me a reason, just said to stop using it. I was high on Valium so I did not press for details, but I think that they are just being  overly cautious as it is my third transfer and still no pg. As for  icy hot- it works! We tried it and my knots are getting better
