@jlellis603 it does seem surreal! Especially since she arrived 6 weeks early and I keep thinking there’s more time until her birthday when there isn’t lol.
She gets two 6 oz bottles during the day and then an 8oz bottle before bed, and between 4-6 oz over night depending on how hungry she is.
@jlellis603 yes, he is so different than my other kids! They were both already sleeping through the night by this age. And they also got on set schedules early, where he has no schedule at all. If he gets tired he naps, but some days he just refuses to nap other than the short drive to pick up the kids from school. Hes also taking forever to get into eating real food. My older kids loved real food and were eating a lot by now. He's basically the exact opposite of them haha
I hope your move is going nicely and that you can be set up in the new house for christmas!! It's exciting to make these memories where you plan on living, fingers crossed you get to
So Wyatt FINALLY spent his first night in his crib last night... 10 months later. I'm so glad because he just does not sleep well on the PNP mat, understandably. It was a mediocre night haha. He was asleep by 9 and he woke up at 11:30, 12:30 and 3:00. He has recently developed a transfer issue where he'll be fast asleep in someone's arms and once he's put down he immediately wakes up and screams. Daycare said they've noticed this too. I feel like the combination of a new sleep space and the transfer issue is going to cause many sleepless nights for all of us. Any other LO's have transfer issues? How did you guys work on them? Also - just doesn't seem to understand how to find his binkie on his own when he wakes up... I'm going to try the wubba nub and see if that helps but I'm not really sure it will...
@jlellis603 all the books I’ve read say to put them to bed sleepy but awake for the exact reason you mentioned. Rid won’t sleep that way so we do transfers when asleep too.
Basically I have to get him to this magical perfect state where he is all the way asleep but not sound asleep. If he’s not all the way asleep (Can see his eyes cracked) he just screams the second I lay him down, if he’s sound asleep he wakes up and is startled when I lay him down then screams. If he’s just reached the all the way asleep point he wakes up for a second readjusts and falls back to sleep for 20-40min then he cries when he wakes up again. I then get him and bring him to our bed where he falls back to sleep sometimes after nursing, other times he just falls right back asleep.
Getting him in the perfect state usually takes 2-3 tries and it takes practice. It’s not perfect but it’s what we do. I just bought the no cry sleep solution book so hoping to find some help.

@marriedhamstermom how do any of us sleep?! haha. We find he does a good stretch until maybe 1am and then he wakes up and screams so we rock hi/soothe him in his crib for 20-30 mins then he will go back down until about 4.... which is an hour before I am up for the day... it's great haha. Hoping this ends soon for all of us and we can get our sleep back!
