@AlohaKumu, how long does the process take?  (Meaning, how long without starting before it won't work with your current doctor?) can you contact the procedure facility and plead your case?  Or any chance you can see if you can start the medication process even if things don't work out?  I hope they can get you in.   I really hope things work out and you get answers soon!

April seems so close and far away at the same time!  I really need to get back to eating healthy and all that crap, lol.

On a side note, I mentioned being frustrating aroubd a month ago that I was cramping and then spotting for about 2 weeks and you kind ladies were supportive and saying maybe it was a period, and I wasn't having it (bitterness, lol) well almost a month later, it is happening again, so I am in a better emotional place and maybe it is a period and maybe once off birth control I will be able to ovulate, which I feel hopeful, but at the same time, I hope I can just start clomid again in April and not wait to see what happens.
  • @zamora_spin, I hope you don't get the hot flashes, they are terrible! I felt like most of my symptoms were after I stopped the clomid, so it is hard to say, are you using progesterone again?  I hope it goes easy on you.

@boniface, mobile is awful for tagging, it loses what I write a lot, and doesn't work at well, the app is slightly better about letting me not lose stuff, but the format is the same, and I still have to go back and forth.
  • @holly321 Based on my last calendar, I think I would need to start on Lupron by Friday at the very latest in order to be able to use my current RE for the FET. I do think they could stockpile me with Lupron and other meds if I needed to wait for my next insurance to take over, but that could delay us by several months--time that we don't have before we move! I've definitely thought about the worst-case scenarios if we aren't able to have our transfer before I move or I have another loss. If we get to that point,it's going to make it really challenging to coordinate everything and we might end up shipping our embryos, meaning there would be little chance of seeing results before the fall. I hope you'll be able to get Clomid in April and kick-start everything into gear again.

  • @AlohaKumu I'm so relieved for you that you have your calendar!
@holly321 Yes, I use progesterone suppositories after I ovulate and plan to use them again. Technically my RE told me to use them when I get a positive HPT, but a TTGP TTCAL grad pointed out that to the extent studies have shown any impact in RPL patients, it has only been in studies where the progesterone was used after ovulation and before a positive test (usually 3dpo is the suggestion). It's likely it's not doing anything at all, tbh.
  • @galactickates yes to being a more supportive person.  I've learned so much on here, and even before my own loss, I gained some really great insight on what to say to those who have had a loss or are dealing with grief.  I truly think my time on these forums has made me a better person in a lot of ways.

  • @galactickates definitely! I have learned to be more attentive to people who have not only had a loss of a child/miscarriage, but any loss of a close family member or friend. I feel so guilty, one of my close friends lost her mom a year and a half ago and I should have asked her more how she was doing.

  • @offtoneverland Ugh, I hate the implantation dip question sooo much. I’m so happy that you have an appointment with an RE! I hope they can give you some answers. That sucks you can’t bump at work anymore. Is this permanent or temporary?
@meatballs37 I just can’t imagine that constant fear that you had to live with in the NICU. I just want to give you a big hug. It’s totally understandable that you don’t want to go back to the doctor. I hate statistics so much because It just feels so unfair if you are in that small percentage that has to experience loss. I’m just so sorry you’ve had to go through all of this and I hope you can find some peace this week.

  • Big hugs @meatballs37.  It's weird the things that can cause triggers.  I'm sorry going to the doctor is causing anxiety, but I think that's reasonable considering everything you've been through.  I don't think there's any harm in putting it off for a little while.  I'm sure a lot of us can relate to being on the shitty side of statistics, I know I was blindsided by my MMC since they are supposed to only happen in 1% of pregnancies.  I'm glad to hear that posting about your experience is helping you process  <3

  • @meatballs37, *hugs*. I am sorry about the little reminders.  I hope you get the courage to schedule and I understand how the statistics are hard, especially when they are in your favor, yet, the bad things happen.

@dpjennifer, I am sorry your doctor isn't giving you clomid.   Best of luck with the weight loss.

AFM, I called to schedule my blood work, and my doctor's office wasn't letting me, since my HCG is negative.  They did send me to the nurse, who scheduled me and is going to talk to the schedule department to remind them that I am not a "normal" molar pregnancy.  Anyway, I asked her a few questions and ended up talking to my doctor. He said as soon as I finish my 3rd pack of birth control, I am cleared to try again, assuming my levels are negative.  Which is 2 days before my due date.... He said he wants me to try for 3 months without clomid, and see if my cycel returns.  Logically, I get it, emotionally though, I am annoyed.
  • Hi guys....I'm back....There are a few names that I'm only familiar with from lurking nice to meet you. I'm not sure how active i'm going to be right now but I will try.

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis / conditions surrounding loss, etc.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R? Life is just really hard right now. This past pregnancy was a roller coaster. After having some bleeding and getting an U/S and being told things looked great and a heartbeat seen, I allowed myself to become really attached and hopefully really quickly. A week later I'm told the baby has not grown in a week and the HB is gone. For almost three days I couldn't get out of bed, but of course forced myself too. I was doing better until last night(know today was my follow up U/S to confirm things) and I actually scared myself last night. ***TW I struggled in HS with severe depression and contemplated self harm and suicide a number of times, but never followed through. The closest I ever came to harming was the eating disorder I had in my early 20's and the suicide at one time almost became reality. I haven't had either of those thoughts since my 20's so I was surprised and startled last night when the thought of harm crossed my mind when I was shaving my legs. Don't worry ladies I did talk to DH about this so he will be on guard with my moods and if this keeps coming up I will go talk to someone ASAP. END TW*** Today during the U/S I was numb honestly, and have been emotionless all day. I think I'm spent at this point. On a good note my U/S today was with the fertility/loss specialist OB so I know what to expect from here already. My D&C is Tuesday and I'm just ready for it to all be done.

Sorry for the novel: TLDR-Lots of ups and downs with long TW in middle

Any testing coming up/any recent results? I will be getting a lot of labs done on February 22nd, looking into any and everything it sounds like. He was especially concerned since my pregnancy with my well child did not go great as far as his ability to grow inutero.

  • @kindbytealikat Oh friend. I am so so sorry to see you back here. I know there are no words that will make it all better, but please know that we are all here for you when you're ready. It's great that you were able to share your feelings and emotions with your husband so he can help take care of you. I'm sure that was incredibly difficult. If you ever need anything at all, please PM me. Sending so many hugs your way.  <3

  • @kindbytealikat I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I know words are not enough, just know that for better or worse, we understand your devastation and your loss. I am also so sorry that the loss is bringing up mental health issues for you. That is completely understandable. I am so glad you told YH what you are feeling and I hope you will consider talking to a professional as well. I know my RE has someone she refers people to who has experience counseling women struggling with IF and loss, maybe you can find someone who specializes in that near you. I also agree with @dpjennifer that the pregnancy hormones are very likely amplifying the terrible feelings you are feeling. It's not uncommon for women who experience mc/stillbirth to experience postpartum depression. I know I couldn't leave my house for days while my first loss was happening because I cried all the time and I truly did not feel like myself. It was scary.
  • @kindbytealikat
I am so so sorry about your loss. One day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time. You have got this! I am glad to hear that you will be seeing a loss specialist. Hopefully they will be able to give you some answers to put your heart at peace going forward with a game plan. Sending you lots of internet hugs.

Fingers crossed they figure out the clotting disorder. Its so weird because with my first pregnancy, my OB had me take a baby aspirin everyday because research has shown it might reduce the risk of pre-eclampsia.

  • @meatballs37 Yes, it does help prevent hypertension, but I don't have any symptoms of that (nor did I with my first pregnancy). I was under the impression that I could use it as a blood thinner to prevent clotting in case that's the solution for RPL, but my OB explained that if I have a clotting issue, it wouldn't be strong enough.
  • @ChloandCoco Good Luck with you testing. My sister was on heparin and a baby aspirin her last pregnancy. They discovered she had protein S deficiency. She went on the have a healthy pregnancy and delivery
