Soooooo my IVF coordinator called me first thing this morning (I knew something was wrong, she never calls only emails) and the report from my HSG was not good. So I Must get a SIS done to look at my uterus alone since the HSG didn't show exactly what they wanted to see. (my OB nor none close does SIS so I got the OK to do a HSG a few months back). So it was either fly somewhere and have the SIS done ASAP or go through with the cycle and do a freeze all if they found anything when we get to our clinic in Feb. I went with option A because I like to be prepared and I hate surprises that throw me off. So I have another thing to wait for and freak out over. I tried to decipher what my report said and in a nutshell it says I have multiple fibroids. Now I have to wait to see where...

Dammmmmm girl. Double Ds? I thought I was going to get me some pregnancy boobs. Nope. Still an A cup. I didn't get any fun symptoms of pregnancy. I asked my OB yesterday if they were going to work for breast feeding. She assured me they will and they will grow once I deliver. I asked the same question a few months ago and she said that IVF pregnancies have less boob growth while you are pregnant. Interesting but too lazy to research it

@Hopeful_mom Your vag needs to calm down. Sheesh. I hope you get some relief. I have a snow day today and tomorrow. It's supposed to be "arctic" tomorrow and Saturday. Where do you live again?

AFM:
Had two almost fainting spells. All of a sudden not feeling well, heart palpitations, sweating, feeling warm. Once I rest it just fades away in about 5 minutes. Once on NYE and once on Tuesday. I had an EKG yesterday and it was normal. I just finished a 24 hour heart monitoring thing. Need to return it so it can be analyzed. They were hoping that if I had an episode then they can see what was going on . Doc yesterday said nothing life threatening and the next time it happens to just sit down and ride it out.

Talked to my OB about the ridiculous diet the dietitian and nurse put me on at the diabetic center. She was appalled. These fools had me carb loading. She wants me on a low carb diet!!! I talked to these fools and told them that they were having me eat too much food and if I ate the carb amount they are recommending then my sugars would be high. I asked if they would rather me eat the carbs get high sugar and they would put me on insulin and they were like 'yeah" WTF? Something didn't seem right as they were shady about coordinating care with my OB. I'm dropping them like a hot potato!!

Also, had a growth scan last Thursday. Embaby is measuring in the 54th percentile and weighing in at 3 lbs. DH and I went to Maine from Thursday - Sunday and stayed at a B&B. It was lovely to get away but it was so cold. One morning it was -12 out. Brrrrr.

@sp128 Emergency C Section for EP. I literally only had time to go home, throw a few stuff in a bag and head to the hospital, all three times! No time to even consider shaving my hoohaa lol.. First time I woke up like "oh they shave me" and did a crap job BTW. I barely remember being an A cup.. Maybe when I was first bumping

... Well I hope I can keep my Ds cause I don't know which letter comes after that. Did your prenatals not give you longer hair and nails? Atleast your glowing I hope.
I knew that diet plan did not sound right. Those idiots were trying to give you Gestational Diabetes and Type 2 WTF... Can you do the glucose tests over? Also, your fainting symptoms sounds similar to mines. Could your iron be low? That's how I get when I'm about to pass out, I warn people of the signs at every post I work at just for safety reasons. I usually can feel it coming on and warn people before I drop... Fun huh... Damn anemia!

@mrsa2017 My nails and hair have always been decent. I wanted BOOBS. I tell people I'm just waiting for puberty to hit. My iron was slightly low when I got tested 12/7. I was told to take Vitron C. I'm not going to get my glucose retested because I bombed that test good!!! No doubt I have it. Just that they send me to the local hospital's diabetic center that ended up being a nightmare! I'm so happy I listened to my gut and was advocating for myself.

@sp128 glad you were able to get a way!! Maybe u need more relaxing to help with these dizzy spells that's scary! I just feel dizzy if I get up too fast or not eating, make sure ur drinking enough too!! I love that the baby is 3lbs already so exciting!! Glad your OB is more on top of it and you're getting things under control! I'm in NY so the snow is out and about don't think I'm going to make it to my appt tomorrow which pisses me off!! I'll see what happens. My OB office didn't call to confirm so I wonder if he's even going to be in. Just mad because my original appt should've been on wed. Grrrrrrrrrrrr is my main thought right now

keep hoping my vag will heal on its own....she's so temperamental! Probably angry she's getting no love whatsoever

... Stay on top of that iron level, those fainting spells are no joke. I've embarrassed myself in front of hundreds of people on our independence parade. I haven't marched since! This process has taught us to trust our gut and advocate for ourselves for sure.

@Hopeful_mom it's the saline Infusion Sonogram that they do to check out what's popping in your uterus. I scheduled one for next Saturday and I get results the same day, yaaay! It was either have it done before I start or go through the cycle and get one done when we travel to the clinic and risk having to do a freeze all and FET later if something wasn't right.
I'll take option A for $200 Alex!...
If I was your vag I would be mad too, no nookie for months she probably feels like a Virgin again

@mrsa2017 ah yes I get it now. Had 2 of those myself, they usually do it once a year. It had to do another after the MC. Smart to get it done!!
im totally a born again!! And it's funny it's not cause I don't have the drive @SP128 but with the spotting and not feeling right and let's include my OH just being an ass upon an ass...everything is at a standstill!

Guess who has 2 fibroids?! One grew from 2.8 cm in July to 3.8 and there is another small one. So I hope this sis comes back good or I could be benched.

Are they by the uterus that they need to come out? Better to take care of that first!! My friend had a fibroid and the blood foe really made that sucker grow during her pregnancy which became an issue in her 2nd trimester. Thank g-d all turned out well but that sucker was giving the baby a run for their money with how fast it started growing...so nutty!!

@Hopeful_mom my OB said my uterus looks clear but isn't sure exactly where it is. The SIS will show exactly where next Saturday. He's concerned that it's growing. He told me that they may want me to remove it so I'm kinda preparing myself if it comes to that. I just feel like I can't win for losing. I never had fibroids til a couple months ago. Even my cysts are being quiet smt. We have bought our tickets for travel and paid for our rental property and now this. I don't let things bother me but this is irritating.

Got a call from DHL this morning that the meds will actually be here today.... Nervcited (nervous/excited).... Which meds have to be refrigerated? They are sending the menopur and bravelle I believe. I can't wait to go pick up my box

@mrsa2017 menupar doesn't need to b in the refrigerator. Not sure what bravelle is? Is that the pen? Basically any liquid meds I kno of besides saline needs to be in the fridge.

im 19weeks today and thrilled beyond! I won't lie I'm still scared everyday! Each test terrifies me! I keep hoping by the viable week maybe things will change! I am pregnant and trying to enjoy it but it's tough!!
since the indigestion is so bad dr now gave me something else to try so let's see if this will be better! It's crazy how bad it is, between that and nausea who wants to eat.

@Hopeful_mom I was the same way you were with the fear for such a big chunk of the pregnancy. But seeing that midway scan is such a difference!!! Every day starts to feel more real and eventually the fear changes to oh shit, I’m actually having a baby and I need to do about a million things now!!!! Love that cute little booty you have going on in there!

So did you have your anatomy scan or you knew which embryo was transferred ? No relief for the pregnant I guess... Nausea and Indigestion, yikes!

@mrsa2017 haha my husband wouldn't do it! So i awkwardly had to do my butt injections in the same spot every day without being able to see the area. torture. luckily the stomach ones are pretty easy.
LO is good!! Active and hopefully getting ready for an on time entrance, no lateness please!

@mrsa2017 double check the meds. My pharmacy even puts it on the pkg that it needs to go in the fridge and I think that F one needs to.

@mrsa2017 yay. Box o meds time. I think I refrigerated everything bc it came that way. On the med front, I just tossed all of my leftover meds. I really wanted to donate them but re office wouldn't take them. Such a shame. I got a bit emotional when I was tossing them.

@KZ1126 Yeah I had a really hard time and hung on to the meds for as long as possible. A little paranoia, a little superstition. I finally rationalized that if something was to happen then I can just get prescribed more and pay the copay. I had a lot left over because I was paranoid about running out. I needed an emergency script of Gonal F and that was stressful!

@KZ1126 I would likely freak out if I have to do it myself. I am making sure to have my bestie who is a nurse there to show my husband. I'm happy he wants to do it because I feel he hasn't been involved from we decided to go this route.

@Hopeful_mom I will send a picture of the meds when I get home later. They only sent me enough medication for the first 7 days. So we can't screw up... That has me super nervous! We also need to reread the instructions and watch the video.

I have my SIS tomorrow and I'm praying for good news tomorrow but I have been spotting for almost 2 weeks. Sigh.. This is so nerve wracking.

@KZ1126 don't toss meds ladies ur clinic doesn't take them? I'm sure there are ppl on here paying OOP for everything like me that would be happy to use them. Shame to waste them. I was like u @SP128 I always got extra because I was always running out in the middle of my cycles.

@Hopeful_mom my doctor won't take them back!! The pens I threw out were the ones that were only good for a month, I think Gonal expired 3 weeks after I got it and then the $400 trigger they made me buy even though I didn't need was only good for a week!!! It really should be easier to donate or share meds you end up not needing.
Also - my nurse told me certain things were ONLY good for a month which sucked when doing cycle after cycle and having to buy full pens each time, but the pharmacy said they probably could last a year. hmmmm

@KZ1126 I'm shocked at what I'm reading! Where were u getting ur meds from? That's ludacris!!! My meds literally had exp usually a year later if not 6/8 months. So that's very strange! Mirodose lupron that they specifically had to make that was $200 was only good for the month so I know some drugs are more temprimental If u will but not all of them.

because I would use one menupar box in a sitting I would give them the extra saline and a Adp so they could use in there classes. Which they did take, im sure I gave so much they had to toss some too....better then then me

@Hopeful_mom & @KZ1126 My clinic wouldn't take the medications due to new regulations. I threw out Gonal F and Cetrotide. One had an expiration of Dec 2018 and the other had like a 2019 expiration I believe...... The only med I took with a one week expiration was HCG. I got rid of a full one of those too when we implanted. Such a waste!!!

She said she saw the fibroids but they were no where near my uterus lining. She said no prior surgery needed and I can proceed with IVF.

@Hopeful_mom mine went through cornerstone pharmacy which delivers the meds as needed. My fertility specialist office doesn't take meds back since theres no tracking how they were refrigerated, stored, etc and they won't take on any liability. You have to like black market them if you want to get rid of them. big waste of money sadly!

@KZ1126 @Hopeful_mom so my coordinator said to double up on my BCP til the bleeding stops then go back to one. Today I had a gush and soaked a liner. So after my bath I put on a regular pad. I hope this helps because I actually want to do it more than my husband

probably because I know I won't feel up to it once my ovaries start to swell with a bunch of grapes. I'll ask my coordinator about sex anyway just to hear what they would recommend.
