In my last BMB, drive bys always turned into food gif parties. We were partial to melted cheese and anything being dipped in chocolate. Someone would also comment KEGELS as a reminder to, you know, do them.

Hey there! June '18 here. This week many of our mamas were craving Ramen and Pho. Then seeing pictures of it and hearing people talk about it, made more of us want it. Just been a popular topic for us this week so we took it and ran with it tonight.
My grandmother, in Scotland, cannot wrap her head around how I don’t get paid time off to be off with a baby, plus the fact that all moms basically get money and assistance when they have kids from the govt.
No matter how many times I try to explain we get 12 weeks max unpaid essentially here she can’t understand it.
When i I was there in April, my second cousin told me she had even managed to save up almost a year of vacation so essentially she double dipped big time out on maternity leave.
We met a new couple at the bar on 12/26. I was drinking undercover mocktails since we hadn't shared the news yet. They have a 4mo so we shared our news with them. We all really hit it off. Anyways, we met up with them again last night and had a great time! Yay for new friends!!!! We are excited since we don't have many friends with young children.
The army is stealing my husband for the next two weeks. I'm frustrated as hell. He already called my dad to arrange for my dad to come over and change the cat litter and take me food shopping, but I didn't plan for this at all. Also, he was going to come home tonight to grab clothes and such, but his car got a flat so now he can't. He only has three pairs of underwear for two weeks. And he only has three pairs because I made him pack an extra.

I've finally managed to be productive this weekend! Woo-hoo! The narcolepsy took a break and I got some respite from the CL cyst discomfort. I got the Christmas tree down, decorations put away, and got my deer stands down for year.
Now to see if I can normal my way into getting some laundry done. I want a machine that puts it away.

My baby turned one today! It is so bittersweet! We had her first birthday party yesterday and it went over so well. Here are the cupcakes that one of my good friends decorated Another one of my friends is learning to be a photographer, and did all the pictures for free! It was wonderful!!! I still just can't believe I have a one year old now! :'(
@scottishlass1213 maternity leave laws in the US are a disgrace. @babybeanmetcalf we just met a new parent-friend-couple as well! I'm super excited, because we have a lot in common, and we don't have many parent friends like that! @jsnakehole I'm so sorry, that sounds beyond frustrating.

Hubby and I are already discussing names because we both agree that we’re screwed because we used our best name options already haha. Anyone else? This poor kid is going to be so difficult to name =\
@lakesideknitter oh I’ve used a ton of apps and different sites in the past lol. We’ve always just had a hard time agreeing on names and it takes us down to the wire, literally on the table being cut open and we’re still discussing names, to pick one lol
@cthulu we are talking names, too. We like family names or names that have meaning, nothing trendy or weird spellings. We have two girl names we like but if it’s a boy it’ll take some thought. I’ll have to take a look at the names thread, too.
@cthulu there was one like tinder where it generates names and you each swipe yes or no and then it shows you your matches. Can't remember the name of it tho. It's in the names thread. We have our names already, so I didn't download it.

@lakesideknitter we used that last time but I wasn’t a huge fan of the names it suggested. The other issue is I’m a writer so I’ve used names I’ve liked for characters before too. Names are just hard lol
@jsnakehole that totally sucks about YH! At least you made him pack more underwear. That's the one thing I always pack extra of because I don't want to be in an underwear emergency.
