How are things going? How are you feeling? Good. Not much going on baby wise. I think this is a slow time for us because we're past all the symptoms and excitement of 1st tri but we're still too early to get into full planning mode or to have the excitement of feeling the baby all the time.
Upcoming appointments? Do you have your anatomy scan scheduled? 16 wk appointment on the 4th and anatomy scan on the 25th. I also have another glaucoma test on the 22nd so I sent an email to my boss yesterday with all of the days/times I will be out of the office.
What would your NYE plans have been pre-pregnancy/kids? What are they this year? Usually we go to a friends house and drink and play games, it's a bit of a party but this year we have a wedding to go to on NYE. I will be sober cab for MH and any of his friends that need a ride. I don't think our plans would have changed just because I'm pregnant. I would just be the one sober one.
Have you bought anything for the baby yet? Is there something you anticipate buying soon? I haven't bought anything yet but I have got some free stuff and some gifts. We probably wont buy anything before the shower.
Are you planning any vacations/baby moons/trips before June? If so, what? Is it all booked or do you have more to plan? We don't have any plans yet but maybe we will spend a weekend away nearby. Nothing too crazy. I think the idea of a food vacation. We have friends in Chicago so maybe we will visit them and their new baby and eat all of the amazing food.

How are things going? How are you feeling? Still having some nausea, sleeping like crap, and my heart issues are kicking into gear.
Upcoming appointments? Do you have your anatomy scan scheduled? Next appointment is January 11th. I'm assuming we'll schedule my anatomy scan then.
What would your NYE plans have been pre-pregnancy/kids? What are they this year? The same....playing games and having snacks and appetizers with our children for as long as they last.
Have you bought anything for the baby yet? Is there something you anticipate buying soon? Nothing yet. Probably wont buy much until after the anatomy scan.

Overall great. I have developed a sensitivity to dairy though which continues to ruin my love affair with cheese.

I had one 2 days ago for ultrasound and bloodwork, technically my 16wk but I went in at 15+1 which my doc said... Ehhh close enough. Next appt is in 4 weeks for more bloodwork and regular check up.
What would your NYE plans have been pre-pregnancy/kids? What are they this year?
We partied hard throughout our 20s and now... we usually don't party unless family are visiting. This year we thought about joining them at a big bash, but I'd rather loaf around!

Sort of... I have been hovering over freecycle and FB sales groups where moms sometimes post free stuff. So we have a crib with the works, a pack and play, baby gate, and tons of baby proofing gear. My MIL kept MH's bassinet which she is giving us and my FIL gave us his own furniture set from when he was growing up in the 50s.

Maybe! My mom was nominated for an award and if she takes top prize we will fly with her to AZ in Feb to accept. We will definitely be working in a few extra days there, a welcome break from the freezing midwest!
How are things going? How are you feeling? I feel awful. Still sick, now getting heartburn. Craving salt though. I also have a double ear infection which is not helpful.
Upcoming appointments? Do you have your anatomy scan scheduled? I have my 16 week appointment on the 3rd, and I will schedule my anatomy scan then. Probably on the 31st.
What would your NYE plans have been pre-pregnancy/kids? What are they this year? We are lame. We play video games and kiss at midnight usually with a few drinks. This year it will be the same minus the few drinks.

We have to buy a carseat, but we have everything else we need from DS. We would like a swing and or bouncer seat. We are waiting until the consignment sale in April before we get our wants.

I am saving vacation time to add to my maternity leave. I'll have seven weeks saved hopefully and my work will pay for 8. I want to take 12 weeks off.
How are things going? How are you feeling? I’m finally starting to feel like myself! Appetite is back some and I’m finding sleeping easier.

It’s considered bad luck in Scotland to buy things for the baby so early...but I will likely start at some point in the 3rd trimester. FIL bought us a car seat but I can’t have it in the house yet (stupid Scottish superstition)

Pregnancy wise not much is going on. If I lay a certain way and focus all my attention on baby I can feel movements, but otherwise not much is going on. The boy and I both have some kind of plague we contracted when he went for his shots appt right before Christmas. We’ve been sick since Saturday night so I’m hoping we might turn a corner soon. So over being congested and feeling awful.

I think my next appt is Jan 10th. Anatomy scan will fall the appt after and my guess is that will end up being around the first of February.

My NYE plans have never been more extravagant than having a few people over and staying up until midnight. This year I think it will be just us and I’m thinking we are going to order some different flavors of wings for take out and possibly go to bed early. Exciting stuff, haha.

We were hoping for more babies after DS and so I kept literally errything. I’m going to buy a glider this time because I didn’t last time and probably a dresser/chest of drawers for this child. We just bought DS a new crib and will give his to this new LO. We bought a second changing table for downstairs (mainly because it’s a pain to haul it upstairs every time I need to change DS and thinking about going up with two every time seemed like a huge hassle). That’s now in the play room getting regular use. The big things that need bought will be girl clothes if this is a girl, a double stroller, and possibly some new bottles.

I don’t think so. We went to Georgia for Christmas and the fact is that DS just doesn’t sleep well if he’s not home in his own bed. He slept with us the whole time we were gone and it was pretty cramped. It’s just not that fun to travel with him right now and he goes where we go. That and all extra money now goes to the insurance deductible for my maternity care (womp womp). Maybe we can take a quick vacay to the beach in April or May. Get a king sized bed and plop DS in the center. It sounds really nice to float the bump in a sunny Floridian pool right now.

What would your NYE plans have been pre-pregnancy/kids? What are they this year? Nothing crazy, but probably having some friends over and definitely drinking plenty of champs.

I was thinking I should start paying attention to good deals or newly used ones for sale possibly. I just know I am not going to get a lot of use out of it, but I still want one.

I have an appointment Tuesday, I know they are drawing my AFP that day, and I am guessing will have me schedule my anatomy scan then. Not sure how I'm going to find time to go for that, but if it's where they did my NT scan, then at least they have 8am appointments.

We got engaged on NYE 3 years ago at a concert, on stage. There is no way I could tolerate a concert now...haha. We are possibly going to our friend's house, but may just stay home. I doubt I can stay up til midnight, lol.

I did get my H a Grateful Dead onesie as a stocking stuffer, but that's all that we have purchased. We did get some clothes and books for Xmas, though. (They are all so tiny!)

My cousin is getting married in February, but air tickets are $$$$$ and the only cheap ones have crazy long layovers. I also don't want to waste any vacation time because I need to use it for maternity leave (I get 12 weeks off...but work only pays 4 weeks at 60%, I am responsible for the rest, or I have to take it without pay). So...I don't know if we will go anywhere, but maybe we can sneak somewhere not too far away for a weekend in the spring

How are things going? How are you feeling? Feeling pretty good. The constipation is in full force and getting weird bouts of insomnia, but for the most part, I feel like I have some energy back and don't feel horrible.
Upcoming appointments? Do you have your anatomy scan scheduled? Next appointment is on 1/8. I'm sure we'll schedule the anatomy scan at that appointment. I Just scheduled my dental check up too. I didn't do that with the other kids and my teeth are begging for it now.
What would your NYE plans have been pre-pregnancy/kids? What are they this year? Normally we would go over to my sisters and play poker and drink and hang out. That's still happening and we could still go with the kids in tow, but we are opting to stay home this year and do family game night. We had a very busy December and even the kids are ready for a weekend at home.

I had them in my wishlist for years and noticed the other day that they dropped from $18 to $5 and I bought them. We also got a few gifts for baby girl at Christmas. It's starting to feel real!

We don't have anything planned yet, but my brother and SIL drew my husband and I in the family Christmas drawing and got us a night away at a hotel and dinner out. Included in this is that they will watch our kids for the night! I can't wait to get away with DH for a night!
I’m sorry that you thought you could come into a well established and actually very supportive community and start telling us that we’re doing things wrong. Would you be receptive to someone who walked into a room and immediately started to accuse you of things? If you sifted through more of the old threads than the ones you posted on you’d see all the support these ladies have given each other through anxieties, losses, milestones, and all the daily happenings in between. We love welcoming new people with new perspectives and all we ask is to be respectful of the format that we use.

When I posted in the wrong place, someone very politely directed me to the correct place. I appreciated that. There’s a bit of a learning curve for those of us who don’t normally participate in online communities.
However, I have seen some people be rude on here when someone doesn’t follow the “rules”. It’s so uncalled for. No one should be made to feel unwelcome here. No matter what the actual case was with this woman, this is a nice reminder for all of us.
Sorry, but I for one am not going to coddle people just to make them stay when nothing cruel was done in the first place. We're quite possibly the nicest BMB. There's no need to start blowing sprinkles and glitter up people's butts just to make sure no one ever gets angry.
But, again, if you look and see what responses she's gotten... nothing was remotely close enough to make any average person leave. *shrug*

Anatomy scan is scheduled for the 17th. Not sure if we will find out the baby's sex or stay team green, since this is the last one. We were surprised for #1, so it seems fitting to do it again for #4.
