I want to stay home and hopefully will be able to maybe by the time baby turns 1 but DH does not get health insurance through his company and I have absolutely amazing health insurance through my work so it is worth it to me to stay for a while more!
@ecwk I hear ya on the insurance. I don't pay for it (my employer pays my premiums) so that's pretty much the only reason I am staying through baby's arrival. My husband's insurance is "just" okay, but that boggles my mind since, as I'm sure you've caught on - he's a firefighter.
Boy/Girl/ Team Green/Surprise? Undecided. I want to try team green because A) we have two girls and the “are you hoping for a boy” will make me hit people and b) I have a shopping addiction and wonder if it would force me to be contained LOL
How old are your other kids? Almost 7 and 3
Rants/Raves/Questions (related to being a STM, stages your kids are going through, or anything else)- My 3 kids will be in 3 very different phases of school/life. I have mixed feelings and worry of how they will get along. But my 6yo and 3yo currently play really well together, so I’m hopeful.
GTKY: Fun Christmas Traditions? We do mass on Christmas Eve and then drive around looking at lights, with the hot chocolate I’ve stashed in the car
Boy/Girl/ Team Green/Surprise? we’ll find out. Everyone around us is having boys so we’d love another girl, but obviously happy with healthy

Rants/Raves/Questions (related to being a STM, stages your kids are going through, or anything else)- rant: last time my mom had to keep my pregnancy a secret for 2 months so she said next time she wants to know when she can tell everyone. I spend a lot of time with my parents so it’s going to be very difficult to keep this under wraps for 2 more months. She also works at my hospital so I have to schedule u/s on her days off so I won’t run into her. Eek.
GTKY: Fun Christmas Traditions? We’re going to my aunt and uncle’s house. Last year there were 2 babies and we got them matching outfits, this year there are 3 and my aunt made them coordinating outfits. Next year there will be at least 5 babies/toddlers!
I started to have some heavy bleeding Thursday, called doc. They said unless clots take it easy. Well last night we had clots, and went to the ER as everyone else was closed. We found out that we were having twins, but had lost twin B. The bleeding has slowed massively, and turned to old blood.
Does anyone have any help on calming my nerves for Twin A?

@princesslockness I am so sorry, hun. I don’t know that there is anything anyone can say to calm your nerves. If you are a religious type, just put your worries in God’s hands. But just know there is no right or wrong way to feel right now. There is no timeline for grief and sorrow. Praying for you, sweetheart.

*TW this same thing happened to a girlfriend of mine at around 8 weeks. Massive bleed, clots, ER visit and the found out the had lost a twin. She went on to have a perfectly beautiful healthy baby girl. They had her come in for another ultrasound around 12 weeks to check and make sure everything was good with the baby but other than that she had a routine pre-natal schedule. Her little girl is almost 3 now. *end TW*
@ecwk the napping! I miss napping while being pregnant. With my first I could work out and then get my needed afternoon nap. And now I'm just like idk if I can do the work out without a nap too tired. But got to figure it out somehow

@princesslockness Oh, I'm so sorry. That must be so scary. I can only imagine how complicated your feelings are. If twin A looked okay in the US, though, I think it's a good sign that the baby will be okay.
@princesslockness I'm so sorry about Twin B. I don't know if it's comforting, but I had a somewhat similar experience with my DD. She had a vanishing twin. If you ever need to talk or process--no pressure obviously--feel free to PM. In any case, hugs, and I'm so glad Twin A is doing well!
@princesslockness I'm so sorry. I don't have any personal experience. However I know a few people who have lost a twin and all I have heard is positive outcomes for the other twin x
Oh @princesslockness I'm so sorry to read this! As some of the ladies have, I also know people who've been in this situation. In fact one of my cousins had had a twin in the womb who sadly didn't survive but he himself is 32 yo and in perfect health. I know that may not help much but maybe it'll be a slight comfort? I'm really sorry you're going through this. We are here for you!!!

@princesslockness so sorry for the loss of your twin. As others have said, I know people who have gone on to have perfectly healthy singleton pregnancies after losing a twin. Thoughts and prayers to you as you go through what I am sure are some crazy emotions.
How far along are you? 6 w and change....I am pretty sure I ovulated late...I already went to the doctor for bleeding and they weren’t able to confirm a heartbeat yet as that was around 5 w and change....so going in a couple weeks so fingers crossed!
