14dpo-295 16dpo-886 18dpo-2731 22dpo-11612 26dpo-288933 My dr said my betas are on the high side (finally after 4 miscarriages) and because I had 2 follicles when we triggered there may be 2 in there. I find out this Tuesday!
10dp5dt = 65 14dp5dt = 3828 I opt d not to have a third beta. My first number was significantly lower than last time, but it’s definitely caught up now.
@neeraja_k There is so much variance in beta numbers, so if your doctor wasn't worried, I wouldn't be too worried yet if I were you. But I totally understand you being nervous about the numbers. The waiting game is the worst!
@neeraja_k mine were ALMOST identical to yours- on the same days. I have a seat seen my little one with a heart beat. There is so much variability with these numbers- don’t worry!
I should be getting the results of my first blood draw today and I'm so anxious to hear from my doctor! I'm doing power of positive thinking (which I feel like is how I got KU in the first place), I just want to officially get that message that everything is fine

@jsnakehole Please keep us posted! I still haven't gotten betas since I'm out of state visiting my family and I'm soooo anxious. So I totally get what you're saying!
@neeraja_k The number value themselves don't mean as much as the amount that they are rising. If you calculate your levels you have a 74% increase in a two day time frame, over the span of 4 days there was a 203% rise. Most providers like to see an increase of around 66% every 48 hours. Now each doctors office has a different level that they follow, but overall they are usually looking more at how they are trending then the actual numbers. I do under that it can be concerning but I hope this helps a little.
@lngcdr2009 Thank you! That does help me understand a bit more, and I am slightly relieved.
My primary care doctor, that did both betas, and is a relatively new mother herself (so I'm sure her knowledge of it is a bit refreshed), seemed satisfied with the numbers and didn't see the need for further testing unless I start showing other worrisome symptoms.
I'm just worried more in general having a previous miscarriage and that my little bean is under performing compared to the other ladies here. Neither doctor did betas on the first pregnancy at all, so I have nothing to compare this one with.
@jsnakehole - I'm so sorry they're making you wait! Mine was the same way - progesterone results posted to my portal first thing in the morning, hcg wasn't until like 9 at night.
Just went for 1st beta this morning. Waiting for the results now... I'm curious how they will handle my repeat test, since I'm not sure if they will have me come in over the weekend or not.

14dpt with a 1150 beta. My nurse literally said "you have a very strong positive"
I think both my beans took. Can't wait for my confirmation ultrasound

@jsnakehole That's so frustrating. Did they give you an idea of when you would hear back? My office returns all results by 3 so I at least know I'll get a call by that time.

@laurad75 the receptionist said she was going to message the doctor to tell her to call me because she was still seeing patients. That was an hour ago. I just sent her another message through my patient portal. It's making me nervous that she didn't just post them (even though she didn't post my last bloodwork until after office hours last time).

Got my results! HCG for between 12/13 DPO was 144, progesterone well within the normal range for first trimester. It's official! Now to tell our parents.

So I went to a perinatologist at 5 weeks. He was very negative. We saw a sac and yolk sac. He said the gestational sac was too big and that there was fluid or something in my uterus. TW... he said it doesn’t look like the type of ultrasound where you bring a baby home in 9 months. He mentioned pending miscarriage or molar pregnancy which horrified me. Then he said I should get betas drawn which I did. They came back at 22k at I think 21 DPO. Following up with my regular high risk OBGYN he said that they were high but he’s seen higher so I hit another draw the next day, about 40 hours later, they rose to 30k. My OBGYN sounded a bit more hopeful than the perinatologist. I was wondering if there’s anyone else with higher levels of HCG?

@shri929 I have all my fingers and toes crossed that you'll get good news and answers on Wednesday! I know it's hard to be in this waiting period until then, though. Hugs and I hope it goes by quickly!
@shri929 so many positive thoughts heading your way that this is your rainbow! BTW - is that your DS in your profile pic? He is adorable! That smile!!!
Thanks for all of the kind thoughts, ultrasound went much better than last week! There’s a baby!!! Measuring 6+1 hr 124. They saw a small bleed as well.
