So I go across the street on my break to get a breakfast sammich cause I'm starving. I sit down, open it up and go to take a bite and the lady comes out and says, "I'm sorry, that one's not the right sandwich."
Okay, cool. Make the correct one then please. BUUTTTTTT... she freakin' grabs the sandwich out of my hands and takes it!!!!! WTF... Umm.. I shouted to her, "I would have eaten that!"
But A.) Never grab someone's food out of their hands.. kinda rude and weird... And B.) NEVER grab MY food out of my hands... especially with me being almost 8 months pregnant. I almost killed her, lol.
@crossfitbabybump That's really strange. I've worked in restaurants, and when there was a screw up, we obviously let the customer continue eating and let them know. And still made the correct food. It's not like they can serve that to anyone else now. I couldn't imagine someone taking food from my hands...no. Just no.
I was Christmas shopping today and a man in his 50’s/60’s said to me, “You’re going to have a baby!” So I said, “Yeah, I think I might.” —What else do you say to an obvious statement? Then he said, “Bless you. You’re beautiful.” And I can’t decide if he was just a sweet older guy or if it was weird... It’s a sad world when you can’t just be happy someone tells you you’re beautiful.
@kalawa - YES!! I was a waitress all through high school and college and NEVER would I attempt such a thing. I was completely shocked she just took it out of my hands... I totally would have eaten it, lol
We had a growth scan today and at 30 weeks baby is estimated weighing 3 lbs 10 oz, and in the 85th percentile (which my doctor said is perfectly fine). We didn’t get any pics for us to keep. But I also scheduled my transfer of care to my MFM and we’re so excited to be discussing my TOLAC!!
Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this! I figured since we didn’t get any ultrasound pics it shouldn’t go in that thread!
@BrittnieMariee I’m so confused! Maybe this is dumb of me, but ours was measuring exactly that at 30+4 and they said that was the 45th percentile. Huh? Does it depend on each individual baby and their own growth curve?
@chasingroygbiv omg really?? That is so odd!! I saw the curve but we didn’t discuss it at all. Maybe next time I’ll ask what kind of curve they use?? Because the graph had 3 different lines on it. Maybe it’s something like how pediatricians use different growth curves for formula and breastfed babies?? Hmmm.
Does anyone know if you are not supposed to drink water during the glucose test, while you wait for the next blood draw? I’m at the test now and the lab tech said I couldn’t, but I don’t remember ever going without water before!
Thank you, @ksmwalters! I’ve been on hold waiting for a nurse at my doctor’s office to confirm, but test is almost over so I will make it! It’s like a mental thing - they tell me I cant have water and then I absolutely have to have it right now lol
@SoFlaMommie1128 I only did the 1 hour, but I was instructed to *try not to have water but that if I was really really thirsty I could have a couple sips. I hope your suffering is over soon!!
@crossfitbabybump We had to put ours on the passenger side. My husband is too tall to have a rear facing seat behind him, even in our SUV. With DD1, we'll have at least two more months of rear facing, so he'll have to suck it up until then, then we'll put her forward facing car seat behind the driver's seat. DD2 (rear facing) will be on the passenger side.
@crossfitbabybump I will most likely put on driver side if fits. I saw a statistic once that said in a wreck your instincts are most likely to protect your side of the vehicle in that quick second.
@crossfitbabybump DS is behind the passenger side, and I’m keeping him there so I can still hand him stuff lol so the new baby will be on the driver side.
I'm conflicted with behind the driver side. It's hard for me to see her in the mirror (yes I already have everything set up lol) and I thought about when I street park, I would feel better having her on the passenger side, that way when I take her out of the car, it's on a sidewalk and not the street. But then I think about protecting her if we were to get in an accident. I would want her on my side... UGHH!!! How about the middle?
@crossfitbabybump the middle could totally work, as long as you can get a good install. Some cars don’t allow car seats in the middle so I’d check your car manual and your car seat manual.
@crossfitbabybump Where ever you can get the best install is best. We had DD behind the driver's seat in my car and in the middle in DH's car. But if you park on the street a lot I'd consider passenger side, for getting baby in and out.

@cford08@vflux33@amylonghorn@chasingroygbiv@heatherdubrow thanks ladies! Night time is a bit of a struggle still with all the coughing keeping him half awake all night. But, while it sucks to be sick on Christmas, the new toys have been a good distraction during the day.

ETA the correct form of "to"
Then he said, “Bless you. You’re beautiful.”

Had my rhogamn shot today and damn the nurse killed me. Already bruised.
Which side of the car do you guys put the car seat? Passenger or driver?
Thank you ladies! I will for sure fiddle around with it this weekend!
Merry Christmas ladies!
