Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I guess, bottom line is, just treat it like you would if her birthday were in June. Make the day all about her. I think the hardest thing from a parent's point of view (if you do the whole Santa thing) is either letting Santa get the glory of giving the "awesome" gift, or risk disappointing her on Christmas by making her wait until her birthday LOL

@bwow615 - so far not too bad with the toddler bed. We've had 4 nights and he's woken up at 3am twice, but goes back to bed super easy and no trouble getting him down. He hasn't yet gotten up after putting him down. He was also diagnosed with Strep this week, so there's that playing into it too... We got the ok to wake clock so i'm going to get that out and hope that it helps him realize when he can get up vs. when it is time to go back to sleep. When he comes in at 3am he says "hi momma. I get up now." then i have to explain it's still "night, night time." ETA: I hope the clock helps with this.
Sorry, took a week off from this check in, but wanted to chime in. @fraufarbissina, our twins birthday is December 2nd, so kind of near the holidays. I make sure to not really have Christmas decorations in our kitchen or where we open presents so the photos don't have Christmas booming behind them and instead have their party's theme decor. No Christmas wrapping paper. No dual birthday holiday gifts yet. If it comes up with a family member wanting to buy them something bigger, we'll cross that bridge when the time comes. My biggest issue is coming up with enough gift ideas, to be honest. I keep an Amazon wish list all year round and just add to it when I see something cool or something they most would like. Then before we send out invites, I check over the list and delete or add as needed. I also add gifts that they can't use until summer or until theyre 6, 8, 10 months older. Those gifts I hide and bring out throughout the year. We have also been very honest with family that smaller gifts are perfectly fine as well as cash. I know that sounds rude, but with twins with birthdays and Christmas back to back, we have tons of toys. Our family was really receptive and several people brought small gifts and gave us money to put into their savings for their birthday and we were very grateful.
