@KZ1126 Ugh. What is wrong with some people? Yes, I understand it's their daily life giving people this news. However, us on the receiving end are just hearing it for the first time. Did you have to fast for the 1 hour and 3 hour? They told me I didn't have to fast so I had a ripe banana about an hour and a half before the test. My nurse friend thought you were supposed to fast for 2 hours. I'm going to mention it at my appointment on Thursday.

@mrsa2017 I love freshly fallen snow. I live in New England and don't remember a white Christmas. It's so unpredictable. The white snow turns to brown sludge quickly around here.

@KZ1126 I hope your next testing comes back normal. I would definitely trade you since it is technically hot atleast 9 months out of the year here. It's like we only have 2 seasons, summer and winter LOL.

@SP128 it's weird that you didn't fast prior too. The banana could have spiked your number. My mom found out she had diabetes early this year, and her initial number was so high (like should be in ICU high) but she told me she had breakfast right before they tested. I wonder if your number would have been different if you fasted longer or took the 3 hour test.
I guess you experience more of a sludge Christmas

... A white Christmas is on my bucket list.

Okay I am definitely freaking out. So Yesterday AF was real spotty like and by the time as I went to bed last night it was non-existence. When I woke up this morning there was no blood in sight. I already started my bcp yesterday and I scheduled my HSG for next Wednesday. So I am a little freaked out. I had some weird cramping/ twinges by my ovaries when I went to shower this morning, but I don't know what to make of it.... Help!

@sp128 I did fast for the 3 hour but ate bar food at like 10 pm the night before. I chose to retake the test in 4 weeks now since I don't want to treat something that I don't have. Also, the lab was late on my 2nd draw so my 3rd draw was less than an hour of time....so I'm thinking if I eat better I should be ok.

@mrsa2017 Funny you say that, that happened to me when I was supposed to start IVF. Friday night had all the classic normal start of a period signs, then NOTHING the next day. Turns out my body was just out of whack, but it really was my period, we started, and it worked out!! fx this is a lucky start for yoU!

Today I am 15 weeks yay!!
I had a Really fast dr appt yesterday . I don't know if it was because of the shingles and he wanted to get me out of there or it's just like a fast check to make sure all was OK

He didn't give me a sono but I did see my nugget and hear the heartbeat!! Best sound! He also said I won't really be able to feel movement till abt wk 20.

He also took like 10 vials of blood which I wasn't expecting but he drew my blood and got it on the first try. I was quite impressed as new ppl take like 3pricks or so to get me. So far I'm really liking this dr so that's exciting as I was a stress ball over having to find a new OB!!

Next week I go for my wk 16 tests with the high risk dr. Does anyone remember what these tests are??

And here's a laugh for the day as he was trying to figure out what he needed to tell me since it's week 14, he must've taken a look at me and thought this girl needs a spa day stat and said I could dye my hair

@KZ1126 thank you for sharing that. I really don't want to stop taking the BCP and be delayed more when this could very well have been my period. I've been on different supplements like the myo-inositol so my body could be out of whack as well. My ivf coordinator had advise me to not take it today but that was after I had but I will continue to take it.
I actually just came home early from work due to me having a sore throat and being hoarse (flu like symptoms) and TMI* I saw Lil brownish discharge on my liner * so idk Wth is happening in there, down there, up there..

@Hopeful_mom Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay baby! I hope the weeks zoom by but not without you experiences all the joys of pregnancy. How are you feeling with the shingles and all? Will you buy a doppler? Are you showing any? How's the nausea?

I feel like I should lie and say that I'm feeling better because I know how much everyone wants to be on the other side but I'm still so sick! I'm starting to get a couple of hours during the day that I have some peace so I'm hoping that it will start to go away as the weeks progress. The actual vomiting has at least lessoned, still there it's just not as often so I'm really hoping this won't be throughout the whole pregnancy!! Now I sound like a wuss but I give credit to all the mamas that work through this because there's just no way I can right now. I can barely make a 10 minute car ride without wanting to throw up

As for showing I already have my own phone bill so it's a little tough to say

I feel like my top bun is almost bigger than my bottom bun so once those connect I will definitely be showing!!! I gain weight during all of the IVF and being sick I kind of them started losing it so it's just very hard to say I'm still hiding it very well!!

@mrsa2017 sorry im a lil late to respond. Was af ever bright red? Sorry if I missed that. My office always told me to count day 1 as red bleeding. I always spotted brown first. Sometimes for a couple of days. Hope your body is cooperating and you aren't sick with the flu

@Hopeful_mom I can't believe you are 15 weeks. I believe at 16 weeks embaby was tested for cystic fibrosis. I hope the nausea dies down for you.

I met met with the dietitian and nurse yesterday. They were both soooooo nice. Looks like I'll have to increase my food intake. Pre preg me would be like score! Unfortunately preg me has very little appetite. Supposedly a lot of ppl go back to normal 24 hours after giving birth. I'm not going to get my hopes up in case it isn't so for me. I started doing the finger pricks for testing this morning.

@sp128 yeah it was brown and then bright red for like 4 hours or so but by the time as I got home it had already dried up and that next morning non-existent. I just have the sore throat and nothing else but I feel physically fine.
OMG testing your sugar frightens me... I had to do it for my mom one time and I chickened out haha. So she stuck herself and I had to catch it on the strip. Have you gained any weight during your PG at all?

@mrsa2017 It stinks a little, ok a lot. I don't understand why they have me eating so many carbs. My doc doesn't want me to gain more than 30 pounds. If I follow the dietitian's recs, I'll prob exceed that. I've gained about 13 pounds so far.

@sp128 I would love to know why they recommended lots of carbs when that is the major reason people develop diabetes. Sugar and starch cause a lot of health problems when eating it in excess. Will you follow the diet plan? Maybe they want you to eat more for the baby? But you have been gaining weight so idk. What does your gut tell you bout the dietician plan? Maybe you can substitute different foods with more healthy choices? I'm just hoping for a smooth pregnancy for you and safe delivery with a very healthy pooh bear.

@mrsa2017 The dietitian said that my diet looked pretty good pre-diagnosis. My gut says to eat less carbs from things like brown rice/bread and more carbs from fruit. Walking definitely helps lower the numbers from what I hear, so I have been walking when I can . Just difficult when I have to work. We will see. I just don't want to be put on medicine.

.. Christmas 2017 will definitely be one to remember for each of you and even though this is my first as a married woman, I'm hoping it will be the last with just DH and I.

AFM... I finally had the HSG after the hell and back and forth I went through to have it done. So I'm just waiting for the report and my antibody test results back to fax over to my clinic. We will be paying just as the new year roll in and my first injection is scheduled for February 2. I was told to stay on BCP til I'm told otherwise so I'll be starting a new pack right after the first one is out. I'm so excited!!!!! I even started the February IVF thread this morning. I have been itching to start it for weeks

AFM: The nausea is still not my friend but I did manage to celebrate with the family.

We know I'm not doing a big social media announcements but I did tell my nephews and niece this weekend. Hidden under my jacket I put a big bow around my belly. We were getting ready to open gifts for the holiday and I told them that I've got the best present for them....tada a new cousin g-d willing

Since they knew about the MC felt it was time to share the good news with them....im sure they assumed since I'm just as sick as last year at this time when I was pregnant with the twins.

Also had my 16w scan and thank g-d so far so good just have to wait to hear bac on the blood work.

@Hopeful_mom I actually watched the whole thing on the screen and he told me that the baby oven Aka my uterus looks good. But get this, he could see my right tube on the x-ray (WTF!!! the doctor that did my surgery had told me he had to take it) but it was blocked. I told him Do Not try to unblock it. I will not go through another EP. But it was a good appointment except for learning that. I guess the report is more official so I have to wait to get it.
Also, (aaaaawwwwwwww) that was such a neat surprise. I know they were all ecstatic for you. 16 weeks shaawtyyyy (twerk twerk) you are well in the second tri now. This nausea come to rain on your parade lol. I hope it lets up really really soon. Have you felt movement yet? And I know how we all are a bit OCD in this process, I wouldn't be surprised if you bought a doppler

Afm: My next appt was suppose to be this Wednesday Jan 3 and now got changed to fri Jan 5th. Which of course I'm Nervous about!! My Miscarriage was the same Friday last year in the new year. I might change the appt. I hate that I think about it but it's hard not to. Wish it was February already....January was just the worst! Ugh!!!

@hopeful_mom I changed my 20 week scan for the same reason, even though I felt silly doing it. Just have faith that this peanut is coming home with you soon no matter what date your appointments are

@mrsa2017 I wish I could say I was nausea free as I sit here eating crackers waiting for it to pass. Is it better then it was in the first trimester yes, but it's not gone and the constant indigestion is making it worse when I have it.

it has to be somewhat better as I gained like 10lbs over night which is scary as I'm really not eating that much so that's a Lil scary.

As for my appt I was really going to change it BUT now I'm having some discomfort with my vag again, I know WTF!!! TMI I normally waxed and haven't since the transfer not that I'm a beast but I am very sensitive and I wonder if that's just irritating me ugh!!! So not happy and I don't want to go through the weekend like this without seeing the dr so I might suck it up!

This is my miracle and I pray every night and day that my body should be able to carry this healthy strong baby to full term!! And I have to believe it will be!! It's hard I'm. It gonna lie!!

on the east coast it's freezing out I find myself being the biggest homebody. I'm scared to death of everything!! It snowed New Years and putting my self in harms way being on the road having to worry about other crazies out there wasn't worth it to me. I never used to feel this way and it's in full force right now!

18 wks tomorrow wish it was 38 already

@Hopeful_mom You are a pregnant woman. Worry is your middle name. Even if we didn't have to go through IF to get here, there would still be worry. God's Got It!
I live in the Bahamas where I'm used to sun and now it's so cold that if you bump my nips they may fall off. So I can't imagine the type of weather yal are experiencing.
Weight gain comes with the territory and it sux sux sux. From belly shots to baby bump you just inherit pounds like it was left behind for you in a will. I'm afraid of how much my thighs will grow in the next few months. I actually like my size D breast so much at the moment, til I forgot I was a nice B before EP no. 1.
It will all be fine with you and munchkin at the appointment! Baby probably in there sucking it's thumbs or flipping. (I have seen babies do weird stuff on ultrasounds haha) Why did you stop waxing? I meant to ask if that is a no no when pregnant.

@mrsa2017 u cracked me up thanks!!! As for the waxing I want to double Check with my OB before doing it. One my vag hasn't been bac to normal and is bothering me so I'm nervous and I'm scared something will go wrong and I'll cause an infection. No it hasn't happened before but I don't want to ask for trouble either. I will go to get these brows done I'm tired of tweezing them.
im hoping I get a good US and wondering when I will get a 3D one....I hope they do it!

@Hopeful_mom Your vag has been through hell and back but boy it hasn't seen a thing until you actually have to push out a 7/8 lb baby.. Lawd!!
I hope it's not a yeast infection or nothing like that. Heard they are very common for pregnant women. Let me know what doc said. I have had to have people shave me without my knowledge before and honestly I'd rather be prepared next time.
I thought those 3d pics come at 20 weeks scan?! Or is that anatomy?

I actually asked my doctor if i could get a wax because i haven't been able to see below the belly button in quite some time now and it is not good haha!! she jsut said it hurts a lot more but is safe. She recommended shaving and I told her I can't see down there, so she told me, "well don't do it on our behalf, we don't care," I was like ummmmm ok haha!!! I'm probably going to get a wax in a few weeks just so it isn't national geographic during delivery...
