So yesterday was ROUGH for me and today is starting that way too... lots of discomfort. In fact, the only physical relief I got yesterday was sitting in the shower with really hot water running. I desperately want to do that now but can't at work (obviously). Luckily DH was great and took care of DD all night. I sat in the nursery for an hour and organized all of the drawers in his dresser. I just don't feel right... cramping, cervical pain, bouts of fatigue. If I was at 39 weeks + I'd be optimistic, but at 37 weeks, I'm just angry.
@EmilyLove25 this was my day yesterday too! And being only 33 weeks I hate to think I still have 7 more weeks that I may get more uncomfortable. Hoping it was just something about yesterday that made it worse and it won't be like that from now on. I feel better today but still not back to normal. Hopefully yours eases some today and the days to come too!
@EmilyLove25 I'm sorry! That sounds awful! Hopefully you get some relief today!
I'm only 35+4 so I just started on the dates and tea this week! I didn't even think about the exercise ball! I'll have to dig mine out and start using it again! I sat on it at work when I was pregnant with DS but that was almost 2 years ago so I have no clue where to even look for it!
@jakobaby a friend used castor oil a few weeks ago when she was 39 weeks and it gave her horrible diarrhea but her water broke about 48 hours later so it may have worked! I'm too scared to try it because I'm not a fan of the whole upset stomach thing! But honestly when I'm at 39 weeks, if my Dr said to try it I would probably just give in and deal with it lol anything to start labor!!!
@EmilyLove25@conineml There must have been something in the air yesterday because the cramping and pressure was intense! I’m also only 33 weeks and if I am going to be as uncomfortable as I was yesterday for the next 6 weeks, just kill me now.
Anyone know much about evening primrose oil? I should have asked my OB at my appt yesterday but I’m starting it today (36 weeks). I just took one capsule orally- 1000mg.
Dang it, @missblaze...I HATE dates. But now I feel I have to go buy some. This where my brain is going: I ovulated a week early (which I know for a fact, because that is why I'm currently pregnant. ONE time without a condom, plus early ovulation, and BAM...here we are), and had DD 10 days early. So...if we take that week into consideration, and factor in my daughter's early arrival, if this pregnancy was like DD's, I'd be going into labor TODAY. This obviously has NO impact on my current pregnancy...but that's still what is going through my head today. So I am also looking for labor symptoms. So far...nothing!
@Cricket99 same. I had those feelings on Monday. Of course I know everything is fine but I'm still a google monster so I did. I had my NST scan yesterday so I knew if anything was weird that they'd see it there or I'd mention it since I was at the OB office anyway. But I was good. I need to drink more water, that would probably help with the cramping.
And the vomiting is back. I keep thinking it's gone for good but really I'm just getting a few days of reprieve here and there.
Totally with all y'all on the uncomfortable, pressure, some cramping, and the fatigue. The last two days I had to have a cup of coffee, might be 3 in a row.
@schaze and @cyanope Dates are the main ingredient in many of the Lara bars. I am going to buy some now. They still have a date flavor etc. but not so bad. Also, @cyanope I texted DH yesterday and said, "If this one comes the same time as DD, I'll be in the hospital in 16 days." He said, "OMG that is so soon!" I lost it of course and said when you can't breathe 16 days is NOT soon... but point here is that I too am going by my past to determine when this one will come... which certainly will NOT be accurate.
Everything. Just everything. As I read along all the comments, I just kept nodding. Yup, uhuh, got that. Glad to kno I’m not alone on so much haha. Misery loves company. Except the nesting. Lol! Nope none of yeah productive shit going on here. But all the aches, pains, pelvis splitting, extreme pain walking/getting up. Omg. Putting on pants. Dying. Doc said she’d “stir things up” at my next appt if I wanted (I’ll be 38+3) But I don’t know if I’m ready! I mean I want her out. But DS is in last week of school. Holiday program is next thurs. don’t want to miss that. Not that stripping membranes necessarily means it’ll happen if I’m not ready anyway. Sigh.
@witchwai I will be asking for "things to be stirred up" at my appointment after christmas. DH will be off during that week and it would be a perfect time to get things moving
I can’t eat normal portions of meals anymore, running out of room. Then I’m so hungry a few hours later.
@EmilyLove25 I haven’t had Lara bars in forever but all this talk about dates has me thinking of picking some up next time I’m at the store. I love the peanut butter ones
I'm having the opposite problem - I have lost all ability to figure out how much to eat. I'm always hungry but Baby Dino feels like he's going to bust right out through my bellybutton so I have no idea how much room I have for food. The other day I filled up a lunch tray with everything that looked good. While in line I was thinking "there's no way I'm going to be able to finish all this." I ate it all and ended up grabbing some snacks to bring back to my desk.
Everyone who is discussing trying to eat dates but doesn't like them - There is a orchard here in California that makes the most amazing Date Shakes. I haven't had one since i was a kid, but they were good. Here is the link: Hadley's Date Shake @cyanope and anyone else who lives in Southern California, if you want to make the drive, it's in Cabazon, and bonus you can visit the Outlets too haha
@maueraa07 I’m in club hemorrhoid, have been for a long time (pregnancy and IBS are not friends). Colace is my friend and I take one religiously every night. Every time I see a different Midwife at our practice the just kinda smile and ask me if I have IBS. Yep. It’s a joy.
Yes cramps and insomnia last night...I however did not get out of bed to fold my laundry and was still almost late to work and didn't have time to do my hair...props to you @sbishop426
@sbishop426@missblaze@lmmjd@conineml On the flip side, I had a (relatively speaking) good night of sleep... and guess what? Still can't stay awake at work and am beyond exhausted. Haha. I think we are screwed regardless from here on out... and then of course for the next 1-17 months as well.
Ahh yes @missblaze! I had cramps all night and I have had them all day today so far. I'm over it lol.
AFM, no hemorrhoids here, but I have been going to the bathroom 2-3/day since last week, which of course I looked up to see if it could mean labor is coming soon. Yah hard no on that, so I need to put down the phone lol. I also noticed I had leaky boobs this morning for the first time. What the what?! 17 days until my due date but I am secretly hoping she comes in 2017, time will tell!
This was a weird one for me just now. I went to go to the bathroom as I was walking I was feeling pressure, no biggie, totally normal. Sat down, started to pee and had the worst pain ever. Not like a UTI, YI pain, but actual pain in my pelvic area. I haven't ever experienced that one before, this pregnancy or last. I think if it happens again I'll call the doc, if not, I'll mention it at my apt tomorrow. I would not have been surprised if there was blood there tbh, there was not.
@supercoolstephy did it feel like muscle pain? My groin muscles have been aching with some sharp pains here and there.
I am light-headed today. I had a slight head-ache last night going to bed and didn't sleep well despite falling asleep at 8:00 pm initially. It was the constant wake-up then sleep for a bit. I think LO is getting me ready for the new schedule. But the light-headed is new for me today. I drink at least 100oz of water with additional fluids on top and *TMI* my pee is clear. So I don't think I'm dehydrated. I just think LO is taking my oxygen. Trying to sit all day in my office but I have a few appointments I can't miss.
Holy Braxton hicks! It's getting a bit ridiculous and not sure why they're happening. I'm staying hydrated. I am noticing them more while at work- maybe sitting is causing them? and maybe I need to get up and move around more? Either way- anxious for my OB appt today because the BH along with the pelvic pressure is making me nervous. Hoping she'll check me today at 36 weeks!
@kelk5 nope. Not muscle pain or like lightening crotch. I thought to myself Is this what it's like when those people on I didn't know I was pregnant felt and then suddenly a baby was plopping into the toilet? I know. I'm ridiculous to even think that because my OB has told me that even if I wanted to push a kid out that my narrow pelvic archway wouldn't allow it, hence the repeat c-section, but still I had that thought. haha.
@supercoolstephy I've been having the same thing. There have been a few times after I pee I have to just sit there for a minute until the pain subsides. I've been having a ton of cervical pressure and pain and just kind of assumed it was related.
@maueraa07 yes! It was just like that. I'm figuring its totally normal but considering the weird stuff my body has been doing this pregnancy I figure if it happens again that I'll call and have them tell me I'm fine. haha
@supercoolstephy if you do call and it's not normal let me know at this point I figure most stuff isn't a big deal because if the baby starts to come they're not going to do anything to stop it so I'll just go with it.
@supercoolstephy I bet LO dropped and is engaged in a weird way. Definitely mention it tomorrow. Also F those ladies who magically have a baby and never knew they were pregnant. What I would give to not know I was pregnant right now.
@kelk5 That has been happening to me too. I hope it passes for you. I find there is not much I can do when it happens but wait... I too think it has to do with less oxygen/no lung space. Drop babies, drop!
@maueraa07 I'll let you know. I probably wont call. I hate calling but my OB is being so freaking overly cautious because of the funneling cervix and the dilating at 27/28 weeks that if I don't call then she gets pissy with me. I mean, a nice optimistic pissy if you can call it that. haha
You all crack me up this morning. I Hope everyone starts to feel somewhat decent. I went to bed feeling achy all over and woke up that way. Could be the cold weather, could be the pregnancy. I just know i felt like this randomly last weekend too.
@EmilyLove25 hopefully. At my US about a week and a half ago she was pretty head down. I was like can she go any further than she is already cause she was right at my funneling cervix.
