Low amniotic fluid levels at almost 20 weeks

Hi all, 

I will be 20 weeks tomorrow and yesterday at my ultrasound I found out that my amniotic fluid levels are low at 10.3 and needs to be monitored. I am very worried and drinking a lot of water (2 litres in a day). Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? What are the side effects of this? Would that affect the baby in any way? Any sort of help/information/advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!!
