1. TTC since 1/17. CP 3/17. NMC 9/17 2. WTO 3. Rave: Booked our fast passes for Disney World next month... So excited! Rant: Down with a cold and no voice. Not fun. 4. As a kid I remember being really excited about getting the Oregon trail computer game. As an adult a really awesome vacuum 2 years ago!
2. Status- CD5 I think... 3. Rants/Raves Rant: Just got over a nasty stomach bug. I guess that’s one way to lose some weight! But I don’t recommend it. Rave: Busy week ahead. DH is a music teacher and concert weeks are always crazy. But crazy=quick. So hopefully with all the busy-ness of the holiday season I won’t be thinking about TTC and can just enjoy it. 4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? When I was 12 or so my parents planned an entire trip to Williamsburg VA for us without our knowledge. They gave us the news that we were leaving in two days on Christmas morning. It was pretty great. On another note, my DH ended up using the wrong bank account to buy this year’s gift and I am occasionally obsessed with checking it, so now ruined the surprise.
1. Introduce yourself (if new) Not new. NMC in July 2. Status? I think I am finally in the TWW, 1DPO 3. Rants/Raves **TW children mentioned** My kids were being punks this weekend and DH took away desert/sweets till Christmas. I'm mad at them and him. I want to make Christmas cookies, go to a candy cane making demo, and we have several Christmas parties that will involve sweets and they can't have anything. I'm trying to make wonderful Christmas memories here! Grrrr! **End TW** 4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? When we were dating DH got me a beautiful peacoat.
Ivy: July 2010 | Stella: Dec 2012 | BFP#3: MMC at 11Wk's, July 2017 | Wyatt: April 2019 | BFP#5: Twin Girls due Sept 2020
1. Introduce yourself (if new) Just joined last week after a MMC and D&C at 9w on Friday
2. Status? Benched. Feeling pretty crampy and icky today. Don’t feel much like working. Not much appetite but I know I’ve got to eat something to help myself heal up. Emotionally, I feel like I’m improving a little, but physically not so much.
3. Rants/Raves I FREAKING HATE PADS! I feel like I’m in middle school again! I think I bought the kind for teenagers by mistake. They have cool colored wrappers and stuff. Throwback to my first period!
4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? An original Nintendo! I think my sister and I were the last kids to get one. I think it was like 1994, and the darn thing came out I think in 1988. Better late than never! I wish I still had that thing.
1. Not new, been here since March/17. 3 MC 2. Benched, waiting for a hysteroscopy after my 3rd mc 3. Rave - Just got back from 2.5 weeks in Portugal and it was amazing. We cycled 700km throughout the country and had an incredible time. Weather was perfect, we ate so much bread and cheese and meat and olives and drank tons of wine and port. It was exactly what I needed to get my mind off of my third mc that happened in Oct. It was also the EDD from my 1st mc on our last day in Portugal. It went surprisingly well. I wasn't sure what to expect but being away helped me to get through it and focus on the present moment. Rant - after getting bumped for my hysteroscopy, I finally got a text from my OB's booking clerk to schedule me again but of course it was while I was away so now I'm waiting again for a spot. I'd really like it done sooner than later, especially with it being over the holidays. 4. GTKY - when I was really young I wanted a cabbage patch kid but Christmas morning came and I didn't get one. I cried and cried and so my dad ran out looking for one on Christmas morning. He drove about an hour away to find a drugstore that was open and he found me a suitable replacement doll. I look back now and think what a spoiled brat I was, but also how amazing my father is.
@bigfatgreek I hear ya on the pads. Like having a MC isn't difficult enough but then we have to deal with the physical crappy side of things. It just plain sucks.
@Kath525 funny how times change. Receiving a vacuum cleaner as a gift
1. Introduce yourself (if new). Not new basically have been around these parts since 8/16. MMC 8/16 then again 3/17 and again 12/17
2. Status? Going for d & c tomorrow
3. Rants/Raves We had to take my DS with us on Friday when we got the news because we were leaving for MI to see my family. My mom had surgery on Saturday and I wanted to be with her. I was a little grateful for the distraction bc I focused on my mom. However I feel like today has been harder on me since reality of tomorrow is here. Not sure where we go from here. If they can do testing and determine cause is chromosomes then we will likely not try but I had a blood clot both this time and last time so he is going to test for clotting disorder and if there is something to that then we will try again if we can control that.
4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? This is hard I love Christmas and usually get excited about all gifts. My dad died when I was 6 yrs old so my mom didn’t buy much for us throughout the year but she made sure our Christmas was memorable each year. I think that’s what I remember most is her making each Christmas special for me and my sisters and the sacrifice she made during that time to make it memorable
Not New - WTO FW and informed DH sex would be on the table a few times this week. haven't got the EWCM yet but when I do it's on.
Not really any rants. I need to finish xmas shopping this week because it's my last full week before DD is on xmas break. Rave is my Vit D has improved so that's great. White blood cell count is still a bit low so I'm going to go to sprouts later to buy some produce and check out some veggie juices I might like. Hey at least I have control over my health. More yoga too - practiced 4 days last week.
The year I was pregnant with DD DH got me a mothers ring with her birthstone. I was so touched it brought tears to my eyes. My fingers had swollen up so much I couldn't wear any of my rings but was able to wear that one for the rest of my pregnancy.
@kath525 I would be excited about a vacuum too lol! Especially if it was a Roomba - you know, one I don't actually have to use myself haha. I hope you feel better soon!
@AGM0616 Ugh, having a stomach bug is the WORST! I hope you're feeling better now.
@robyn2201 That's hard - I'd definitely be irritated too with the no sweets thing. Now, I'm a big fan of being consistent and following through with consequences (I don't usually let up on anything), but given it's the Christmas season, do you think you could talk to DH and he could have a talk with the kids and come to some sort of agreement? Maybe a shortened sentence? Ability to earn sweets back?
@bigfatgreek Sorry you're still feeling icky. Definitely just take it easy if you can (easier said than done, I know). I did too much too soon and regretted it. I felt MUCH better once I took a day to just lay on the couch. Do you have help/daycare for your DS while you relax? Oh, and I LOVED my Nintendo back in the day. I specifically remember the day my parents brought my little sister home from the hospital and I was peeved that I had to pause my Super Mario Bros game hahahaha!
@40momma Glad you had a great time in Portugal. Sounds like one heck of a trip! I hope you are able to get your hysteroscopy scheduled quickly.
@Mack2342 It's definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. I'm still so sorry that you are back here. I hope everything goes smoothly tomorrow and you are able to get some answers wrt the blood clotting. Your mom sounds like a wonderful lady.
AFM: 1. TTC since 2012; MC 11/16 @ 9+1 (D&C); NMC 07/17 @ ~6w 2. ~5 DPO. Went for my progesterone test yesterday so that I can start estrogen priming for my IVF cycle and it was a 28 so ovulation was confirmed. I start my Estrace today. We still TTC naturally this cycle so I'll still be BSC once 9 DPO gets here.... 3. Rant - I am just DONE with work for the rest of the year. I have so much to do that I could fill every day between now and Christmas doing a bunch of prep stuff, but instead, I'm sitting at a desk only half working and half making To-Do lists. Rave - I have so much to do in the evenings this week that I think the TWW should fly by. 4. When I was 8 or 9, I got a massive stereo with these huge speakers and a dual (!!!) cassette tape player. It also came with a microphone. I LOVED that stereo. I got to record all my fav songs off the radio and make my own mix tapes. I also recorded myself singing and my friends and I talking into the microphone. I still have those tapes in a Rubbermaid in the basement. When I would get grounded, my mom only took away my stereo privileges if I was REALLY bad because she knew how much I loved it lol!

3. Rants/Raves: We had snow this weekend and so took Starlord to get his picture taken with Santa (inclusive of the ears we got at Petco on Black Friday!) It was adorable. But, also tried to BD with DH on Sunday to try to 'clear the pipes' to prepare for super fun DH this upcoming week and weekend, since I'm not sure how soon I'll O... and well, that was a total disaster where I ended up in a meltdown and no BD. Le sigh. Oh how much fun it is to be a depressed nutcase...
Kath525 I wish they made the original Oregon Trail game for modern day computers! Whoever had the rights to sell that would make a ton of $$$! Enjoy Disney!
AGM0616 Awww... sorry for the ruined Christmas surprise. Hopefully it was at least a good one?
Mack2342 Good luck with the D&C. I hope they find something out! Being repeatedly pulled back into this group with no answers is depressing.

@tosh24 I saw something on FB about someone who had a Roomba that would go off every night. Apparently they had a puppy that had an “accident” one night that promptly got hit by the Roomba. Hilarious and disgusting and definitely makes me rethink getting a Roomba. Hahaha!!!!
General question- I’m not ready for sex yet, but what do you do for preventative measures if you are benched? Spermacide? Condoms? Or do you just avoid during your fertile time?
1. Introduce yourself (if new) Hi, new here. I was on the July 13 BMB and most recently on the July 18 BMB. *TW* I found out on Friday that I had a MMC, which has always been one of my biggest fears. I was supposed to be 9 weeks but baby had stopped growing at 7w5d and there was no heartbeat. I still had all the pregnancy symptoms and zero cramping or spotting, so it was a huge shock. I have a D&C scheduled for tomorrow. *End TW*
2. Status? Benched, we'll see what the doc says tomorrow about when we can try again. I want to start ASAP.
3. Rants/Raves: I have to take an exam the day after my D&C. I hope I don't feel too awful.
4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? Probably an American girl doll.

@coco2787 I'm so sorry for your loss. I was July 18 BMB as well.
2. Status? Benched (Waiting for AF at end of month)
3. Rants/Raves: I had a friend make an ornament for the baby we lost and it is absolutely beautiful! I was so excited to hang it on our tree yesterday. We also left up the stocking I had bought for the baby. I love that our baby is still being represented at least through the Christmas season.
4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? I got an American Girl doll one year. That's the only gift that I can vividly remember.
1. Introduce yourself: not new but still newer than many of you
2. Status? WTO... I think. This will now be week two after MC so I'm unclear if I'll O or not. Acting as if I will just in case. No word on final beta levels yet, but OPKs are testing positive so I'm hopeful.
3. Rants/Raves: This week is going to be insane at work with internal meetings, but today we had our really awesome holiday party at our local hipster pizza restaurant and had a lot of fun. Took my mind off TTC for a while at least! Our house is now totally decorated for Christmas... now just have to do finish all of my errands and tasks before it gets too late. DH and I are talking about having family and neighbors over these next few weeks so I'm hopeful we can make some fun for ourselves and not stress about "real life".
4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? An Eiffel tower ring holder that my DH bought me, since he proposed on Christmas eve in 2012. We were so excited after getting engaged we couldn't sleep and got up really early on Christmas morning to exchange gifts and get ready to tell our parents. We moved briefly this year to do renovations on our house and I thought I lost the Eiffel tower ring holder and started crying. I apparently was attached to it since it reminded me of an amazing memory.
@40momma I am so jealous! Portugal has been on my list forever! The trip sounded amazing!
@coco2787 and @acciocoffee you girls are making me feel old with your American girl doll. That came long after I was a little girl. My 22 yr old niece was into them when she was little. Strawberry shortcake and cabbage patch were my thing lol
((((Hugs)))) to the new people and GL with the upcoming d&cs and hysteroscopy @coco2787. @Mac2342
1. Introduce yourself (if new) Newish, CP from our first long-awaited FET over Thanksgiving...
2. Status? WFFET2 (12/22/2017)
3. Rants/Raves OMG DH and I finally got down to business over the weekend, for the first time in what felt like forever. We have been pretty stressed out around here, it was definitely a good thing.
Scan and labs went well this morning, so I will increase estrogen to 3x daily, go back Friday, and add PIO Sunday if all is well...
4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? Tough to remember anything specific! What does come to mind was actually intended as a first dating Anniversary present from DH, purchased together on Christmas Eve - a silver key necklace from Tiffany's. It was just such a magical holiday evening out in the City. All the romance just made it for me, and sure sealed it for me, if I didn't know already, that he was The One.
@IMC I have this goofy Eiffel Tower souvenir that I got on my 6th birthday when we lived in France. I love it and it is so special to me, even though it’s just some cheapy pewter thing!
@Mack924 Strawberry Shortcake FTW! I had a big wheeler and the doll that smelled like strawberries. I think the doll is somewhere in the box of random “grandkid toys” at my parents house. I think we have her smelly pink cat too. I also wanted an American Girl doll. They came out when I was in 4th or 5th grade I think. I read all the books in the school library but I never got the doll. I guess my parents thought I was too old for one haha.
@coco2787 I could have written your exact post last Thursday. Very similar situation. I’m recovering fine from my D&C. Moderate bleeding on day 4, and some period-like cramps. Hormones are a doozy, so remind yourself when you feel a little wacko that it’s just everything leveling off. You’ll be ok for your exam. Hang in there. Also, try to stock up on iron rich foods like leafy greens, beans, and red meat (if you aren’t a vegetarian). I didn’t feel much like eating but having good nutrition has really helped with recovery. Make sure you eat before you take your exam so your blood sugar is up.
bigfatgreek We
used condoms. If you know you’re going to be benched a while, you can use BC.
coco2787 They’ll
definitely bench you until after your first AF, but some doctors bench for 2-3
cycles. It depends on their personal professional opinions AND your personal
situation. Don’t be over-eager. Take some time to heal physically and
emotionally! Really hope you feel ok for your exam and do well on it!
IMC I
believe OPKs can turn positive if you have HCG still in your system. Just an
FYI.
BusinessWife Yay
for BD for DH! We’re gonna have to get on that boat… *sigh* JK

@dpjennifer I suspect that might be what's happening. Ugh. No O today even though I had a temp surge yesterday. It just went back down. Now I just want to get AF so I can move on. My doctor obviously told me nothing about this...
Indeed, @bigfatgreek it's the meaningful things that end up being so special!
IMC Yeah, sorry... I think many doctors live in some happy little bubble and don't give out many details of MC. So just in case they didn't tell you, you can get AF regularly as you normally would after your MC, or you could get it a few months later! Your cycles can be wonky for 6-12 months after a MC. Some things will go back to the way they were before the PG, and others may be forever irrevocably changed. You may experience totally different symptoms, etc. It's always a gamble and one never knows. It seems that after CPs things tend to return to pre-MC normal pretty easily, but later MC are worse.

@bigfatgreek we have always used the pull & pray method (and I guess some modified rhythm method since I monitor my CM and have temped in the past) bu my doctortor does not endorse that haha. Probably condoms would be a good option.
@acciocoffee I never got an American girl doll but I wanted one so bad! Jealous. I always wanted Samantha.
@coco2787 I'm sorry for your loss. I wanted to get back to normal and start trying ASAP. It's still hard, the whole waiting on the process. My brain wanted to get going ASAP but my body wasn't ready at all. It still might not be, I guess we'll see as far as that is concerned, but I hope you're able to have a good talk with your Dr. And good luck on your exam! I was an emotional wreck but physically felt ok. Hope you can rest after.
Thank you for your kind words and advice ladies. I'm grateful to have this supportive community

@AGM0616 stomach viruses are the worst! We're doing what your parents did with our kids this year. We're surprising them with a trip to florida/disney.
@robyn2201 oh man it's the worst when the kids' punishment also punishes you!
@bigfatgreek we still have our original Nintendo and play it fairly frequently. We still love it!
@40momma so glad you had such a great time in Portugal!
@tosh24 that's quite the gift!! Hilarious that your mom wouldn't normally ground you from it!
@vlagrl29 yeah, I'm not fully sure but basically he wants to have a look inside and see if there may be any signs for why I have RPL - he said because all 3 of my mc's happened around the same time (5 - 8 weeks), it can sometimes be due to a mis-shaped uterus, which can be fixed. Not holding out any hope as I know RPL often can never be explained but it's worth a shot
@bigfatgreek - I'm in the same boat as @lumosmaxima . We've spent the last 10 years doing the pull out method but (speaking from experience) this method is not 100% guaranteed! But if I were adamant about not getting pg, I'd definitely use condoms or other forms of bc. Right now I'm benched and still doing the pull out and abstaining during my FW.
@Mack2342 - I've never even heard of an American Girl! Cabbage patch and My Little Pony over here. PS - thinking of you today, hoping all went well (as good as it can go I guess)
1. Not new - 4 early losses. 2. WTO. Had laparoscopic surgery to remove endo and a cyst last Friday, 12/8. Also had a hysteroscopy at the same time. 3. Three small incisions and a dialated cervix later: stage 2 endo and ovarian cysts removed, and my uterus looks “perfect.” Still in a little pain, but glad to be done with it. I’m strangely glad we found some endo because it explains my hideously long and heavy periods, but it doesn’t necessarily explain the RPL so we shall see. 4. Boombox when I was in like 4th grade. I used to blast some Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men. Omg memories!
Holding out hope for you all. I’ll update later because my boss has rudely decided I must attend a meeting right now.
I got an email back from my naturopath and my Omega fats are in much better range now So I can check that and vitamin D off. Just need to raise the t3 t4 and white blood cell count and I'm 100% perfectly healthy.
The suja juice i'm drinking today is a better taste than yesterdays.
Thanks for asking @BusinessWife. The D&C went smoothly yesterday and I've had minimal bleeding and pain so far. The doctor did say that sometimes the first couple days are easy and then it might get worse, so we'll see. The pregnancy symptoms have pretty much all gone away too, which has been a relief, both physically and emotionally. Benched for one cycle but obviously don't know when AF will show up so could be up to 3 months. I've got a lot going on the next few months so hopefully the time will pass quickly.

coco2787 Other than feeling exhausted, the first few days after my D&C were easy peasy. Then I started to have pain which got worse and worse... but I also think I was too optimistic and tried to do too much too soon afterwards. So, beware of that!

@BusinessWife I’m doing fine physically. I have my ups and downs emotionally which I know will get better. I’ve had a lot going on and told DH yesterday that I feel like I have to see about everyone else that I haven’t had time for myself.
@coco2787 my dr told me same yesterday about bleeding may get worse. With one first one I bled for about a month but I was 10 wks and 2nd one was like a normal period spotting for a couple days then picked up for a day or two then spotting and done. My periods were pretty normal after that one but developed new pms symptoms which sucked. So we shall see how this one goes. I was 5w4d with 2nd one but there was fetal pole with this one it was more of blighted Ovum. I spotted a bit yesterday for a couple hours and nothing since. I found that the more you take it easy the less you bleed. With my first I attempted to teach my aerobics class a few days later and really started bleeding heavy. So take time to let your body heal
Hi ladies, had the flu with terrible vomiting and ending up needing IV fluids... catching up, so hopefully everyone is doing well
1. Introduce yourself. Not new, as of Dec officially TTC for 1 year with 3 losses. 2. Status? Oddly ovulating early. Spiked a positive OPK on CD11. Go figure, last month was super late, now early... a little hesitant but will BD for good measure. 3. Rants/Raves: RE was able to get me in early due to cancellation. Next cycle will be monitored natural cycle. She mentioned clomid since my cycles were wonky. Not sure where we will go with that... guess I will see what she says about the early O. I want to give things a shot naturally with my newly remodeled uterus. She did mention that we may want to look into IVF with PGS considering our loss history, so I guess that's an option if things aren't panning out over the 6 months or so. 4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? Probably showing my age here, but a SONY Walkman. I thought I was so cool with my mix tapes (recorded from the radio of course - DAD! SHHH I'm recording!!!)

@lumosmaxima - my naturopath told me about Suja. It's a cold pressed veggie fruit juice. I really have no desire to buy a juicer and do all the work so I figured I would drink 3 a week and then drink the smoothies I make on my nutri bullet all the other days. I went to sprouts a couple days ago and stocked up on frozen fruit, I already have frozen spinach and then I bought a few different flavors of suja to see which ones I like before I buy a big bottle.
@honeybeebub Ugh... glad you’re feeling better. Stomach bugs really are awful. I still have really bad heartburn and can’t eat well yet and it’s been a few days, so take it easy!
@acciocoffee I got an American Girl Doll when I was like 6. Samantha, with the original curlier hair. I loved that doll! Still have her in my basement storage.
@coco2787 Glad to hear you are recovering relatively well.
Anyone else have problems on the app? I cannot seem to type a sentence without autocorrect adding a few extra words. I typically am obsessive about editing, but this is making it ridiculous! I also only get to tag people about 75% of the time. Frustrating! (For example: “people” was about to autocorrect to Ripken. What?!?)
Good to know @Mack2342. I hope you have a smooth recovery as well

Re: TTCAL Week of 12/11
2. WTO
3. Rave: Booked our fast passes for Disney World next month... So excited!
Rant: Down with a cold and no voice. Not fun.
4. As a kid I remember being really excited about getting the Oregon trail computer game. As an adult a really awesome vacuum 2 years ago!
3. Rants/Raves
Rant: Just got over a nasty stomach bug.
2. Status? I think I am finally in the TWW, 1DPO
3. Grrrr! **End TW**
4. GTKY: Favorite Christmas present you've ever received? When we were dating DH got me a beautiful peacoat.
2. Status?
2. Benched, waiting for a hysteroscopy after my 3rd mc
@AGM0616 - what kind of music does your DH teach?
@robyn2201 - woah no desserts until xmas? they must have been really bad
@bigfatgreek - so sorry for your loss
@40momma - glad you had a great time away and hope you get that procedure scheduled very soon - what does it do looking inside your ute?
@mack2342 - I'm still so sorry you're back here again. I hope you find some answers to your questions.
AFM:
1. TTC since 2012; MC 11/16 @ 9+1 (D&C); NMC 07/17 @ ~6w

General question- I’m not ready for sex yet, but what do you do for preventative measures if you are benched? Spermacide? Condoms? Or do you just avoid during your fertile time?
Hi, new here.

2. Status? WTO...
Make sure you eat before you take your exam so your blood sugar is up.
bigfatgreek We used condoms. If you know you’re going to be benched a while, you can use BC.
coco2787 They’ll definitely bench you until after your first AF, but some doctors bench for 2-3 cycles. It depends on their personal professional opinions AND your personal situation. Don’t be over-eager. Take some time to heal physically and emotionally! Really hope you feel ok for your exam and do well on it!
IMC I believe OPKs can turn positive if you have HCG still in your system. Just an FYI.
BusinessWife Yay for BD for DH! We’re gonna have to get on that boat… *sigh* JK

@bigfatgreek we still have our original Nintendo and play it fairly frequently. We still love it!
@40momma so glad you had such a great time in Portugal!
@tosh24 that's quite the gift!! Hilarious that your mom wouldn't normally ground you from it!
@coco2787 so sorry for your loss. Welcome.
@acciocoffee i love the ornament idea. That's beautiful.
The suja juice i'm drinking today is a better taste than yesterdays.
Ok @vlagrl29...what is suja juice?? Sounds like good results!
