  • 1) 32 weeks!!  Babies are a squash this week

I can’t believe we are at 32 weeks!

    2) How are you feeling?

I’ve got a cold and am miserable. Had a minor scare with some bleeding last week but got monitored and had an ultrasound and everything looks good.

    3) Any appointments this week?

32 week appt tomorrow. Nothing major.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?

Really wish I could take something for this damn cold. I love how online it says fluid and plenty of rest. How am I supposed to get plenty of rest when I can’t stop blowing my nose?!?!

    5) GTKY: What is the one thing you decided you must have for this baby?

My my brother and sil are handing us down this Swing that they used for both their babies and I’ve seen the magic it worked in them. We wouldn’t be able to afford it ourselves so I’m glad they are passing it down and I hope it has the same effect on our little one.

  • 2) My back is starting to give in. Which sucks. I’m almost three years post multi level lumbar spinal fusion and I’m just praying it holds up for the next 6 weeks because I am not looking to have nerve pain and then be put under general for my RCS.

    3) I have two on Wednesday. One for NST and then my 32 weeks appointment after that.

    4) SO is annoying the crap outta me. Just because he is. And he’s sick and acting like he’s dying. No honey you just have pink eye and a ruptured ear drum...go to work.

    5) Nice stroller
  • @pandappanderson I know what you mean.  I've had 2 bad colds so far.  My best mix has been Mucinex and over the counter Flonase.  Even then it was miserable.

@smorzandoj I hope your back holds up.  Mine hurts and I'm not dealing with what you are.  I can only imagine how bad yours is.  Men are so pitiful when they are sick.  If they had to be pregnant, they would take the whole 1st trimester off lol.

    1) 32 weeks!!  Babies are a squash this week
I can't believe we are so close.
    2) How are you feeling?  Back pain is horrible.  I am all belly and it is killing my back.
    3) Any appointments this week?  32 week appointment plus an ultrasound tomorrow then another US on Friday.  Haven't seen him since 10/19.  Excited to see him regularly now!!
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?  I hate that I am not sleeping well.  I spend a lot of nights on the couch and even then sleep is gettting hard.  Plus I am panicking that he is going to come early and I won't be done with all my projects at work.
    5) GTKY: What is the one thing you decided you must have for this baby?
Good newborn pictures.  I splurged a little but it got what I wanted.  The photographer is someone who a friend has used for years for her own kids.  Plus she is coming to our house so the dogs can be included without us having to transport them.  And she is bringing the setup for the "studio" pictures too.
  • 1) I’m 31 weeks and 2 days, this pregnancy has flown by!!
    2) My lower back is KILLING me and my nausea/puking came back in full swing
    3) I have my 32 week appointment next week
  • 1) 32 weeks!!  Babies are a squash this week

    2) How are you feeling?
Not too bad overall. I’ve been having nasty back spasms but it sounds like everyone is getting to that point now. My last two were both sitting high and didn’t cause me nearly this much pain.

    3) Any appointments this week?
Nope, next one on the 19th

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Still not ready for Christmas and the boys birthday party is on Saturday and I need to get the food ordered and goodie bags together, as well as making sure hey both have a little something on their actual birthdays (15 and 20) so thinks are getting a little stressful. I love the holidays but honestly can’t wait for them to be over this year.

    5) GTKY: What is the one thing you decided you must have for this baby?
The BOB stroller. It’s a splurge but we had one for the boys and sold it thinking we weren’t going to have any more. DH and I both love it.
  • 1) 32 weeks!!  Babies are a squash this week
I can't wait to meet her!!

    2) How are you feeling?
Tired and sore, especially my hips, pelvis, and back. The heartburn is so bad at night too.

    3) Any appointments this week?
Yes, my 32 week check up tomorrow. Visiting the chiropractor today too.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
So happy to FINALLY be done with grad school and my concerts!! Looking forward to having some time to bake and crochet before my sweet girl arrives!

    5) GTKY: What is the one thing you decided you must have for this baby?
Oooh that's a good question... This is my first baby so I've just trusted what my SILs have told me and have gotten a ton of hand-me-downs. I guess my biggest splurge was a new recliner for the nursery, but I think that's more for me than baby.
  • 1) 32 weeks!!  Babies are a squash this week
super excited! Hoping the rest of this pregnancy flies by with the holidays and new year.

    2) How are you feeling?
the heartburn is terrible. But I guess really that’s my only complaint.

    3) Any appointments this week?
tomorrow is my 32wk appointment:) very happy to be nearing the end but not excited about the every other week/every week appointments. They’re exhausting with my other to kids to drag along.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I guess not. See answers to #2 and #3. Lol.

    5) GTKY: What is the one thing you decided you must have for this baby?
a knew wardrobe is all this baby is really getting. And only bc I have sold everything under 2t. Poor third child. I’m splurging on more things for me this go around. A new car being the chunk lol. I also got a comfy nursing hoodie that I’m planning to wearing in the hospital. I’m super excited for that lol.

That looks super comfy! I need to order some nursing tops but have no idea how to choose a size?!

  • How is the sizing?  True to size?? I need to order a few nursing tanks as well.
  • @pandappanderson and @smorzandoj

it definitely just depends. I rely heavily on reviews. I ordered a size up on that hoodie bc I know I’ll want a lose fit.

I wouldn’t buy too much right away though because (in my experience) post pardom your body maybe very different, especially at first! Comfy fitting pants, nursing tanks, and that hoodie are all I plan to buy ahead of time. All 1 size bigger  then I wore pre-pregnancy

@pandappanderson sucks to have a cold..if you have the stomach for it try some ginger+lemon in hot water with some honey
  • @chucksmom15 I hear you on the not sleeping. Have you tried a maternity belt for your lower back pain? or maternity tape?

@karcerplus3 hope the birthday party is fun and you get everything done on time

@Starynightsky24 thanks for sharing the nursing hoodie :)

  • My coworker is bringing me her maternity support belt tomorrow @babymnsmomma.

We're doing a little corner in the nursery with a dog bed for Chuck and pictures of the dogs.  Hopefully the dogs will cooperate and we'll have a cute picture of him with all 3 of them.
  • @chucksmom15 perfect! hope it helps :)
  • 1) 32 weeks!!  Babies are a squash this week
The end is near! A part of me can't believe it's already been 8 months. I feel 1,0000 months pregnant right now and looking forward to my RCS on 2/2 (we're making a huge joke out of the possibility of a Groundhog's Day baby AND a Superbowl weekend stay in the hospital. My husband is hopeful the Pats will make it to the Superbowl again but also not looking forward to watching the game beverage free. I've already suggested we bring in IBC Root beer for the sheer enjoyment of watching the nurses nervously question what we are doing  :D
    2) How are you feeling?
Ugh. I've been better. I have some kind of ridiculous chest cold. I'm getting to the point now where I may call my PCP to see if antibiotics are necessary. It's been a week and the congestion just seems to be getting worse. Otherwise, I feel okay. I've got all the standard pregnancy symptoms (heartburn, exhaustion etc.) but I'd be cool if I could shake this cold.
    3) Any appointments this week?
I have my 32 week appointment next Wednesday at nearly 33 weeks.
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I'm basically done my xmas shopping (Rave) but I'm really not looking forward to all the holiday gatherings coming up. Especially the annual Christmas party in my husband's family. You have to bring a dish, bring your own drinks (even non-alcoholic beverages AND ice) AND bring a 10 dollar yankee swap gift. It's all just too much for me. The people that host are pretty much just providing their house and maybe it's just me but whenever I hosted a party, I never asked anyone to bring anything more than their own booze IF they weren't going to like the selections we already had. I guess maybe it's a pet peeve of mine.
    5) GTKY: What is the one thing you decided you must have for this baby?
We bought a Boba wrap this time around. I'm hoping I can wear this baby while also paying attention to my 2.5 year old who is just very energetic and active. I'm worried he's going to have a hard time adjusting to baby if all our attention is no longer on him. The other thing I'm HOPING to get is a stand alone bassinet for this baby. We had a bed bassinet/co-sleeper with DS #1 and now that he comes to visit for cuddles sometime in the night I don't feel comfortable with the co-sleeping option again.
  • 1) 32 weeks!!  Babies are a squash this week
I'm excited we're so close! The holidays will help to make the time fly by.

    2) How are you feeling?
Baby is extra squirmy which is making sleep and eating a bit difficult. I'm also trying to keep my spirits up despite winter settling in. All that aside I feel much better than I did first time around, so that's a win!

    3) Any appointments this week?
I just got home from a bi-weekly appointment. Apparently I've lost weight since my last appointment and for the first time my belly is measuring small. My ob set up a growth ultrasound for next week so I'm hoping for good news. Honesty I'm really freaked out that something is going to go wrong again; especially after the traumatic birth of my son. Anyone have experience with measuring small and growth ultrasounds this late on?

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I could rant about work for hours today. I was spoken to in the office about having a lack of energy and focus as of late. I know I can do better but I don't feel like I'm doing a poor job by a long shot. It was just a rough conversation, and it was the most I could do to get out of there and close up shop before balling my eyes out in the car. Thanks hormones, I could have done without that one 20 minutes before my appointment... Dr did a tox screen to make sure my eyes were red from crying not smoking weed. Yup, that's how my day has been going.

    5) GTKY: What is the one thing you decided you must have for this baby?

A Tula free to grow carrier! I never used a carrier with my son but with two it seems like an amazing idea. Plus the reviews make it so tempting (not too mention cute!) I'm really excited to try baby carrying
