@Puddlewonderful If I were you, I'd come right out and say "if we're having a boy, we're naming him John." That way you technically made the first solo claim to the name. I'm sorry, but having a list does not entitle you to exclusive rights for ALL of them. Whereas, knowing for sure that is the name you want, does. Turn it around on them.
Exactly, play stupid games win stupid prizes. This little list game is a major eye roll.
g_amoss So surprised they didn't mention that to you in your follow up! Basically, and SUA is when the umbilical cord to the baby has 2 vessels and 1 artery instead of MOST have 3 vessels and 2 arteries. From my understanding with my follow up/talking to my docs it isn't much cause for concern because the 1 artery usually just makes up for being the only one and gets larger and works harder. It does give you slightly more chance for birth defects because of the time the umbilical cord is developed is a crucial time for other things. However, the only thing that they are doing, for myself, is checking growth at 28w and 34w as opposed to no more ultrasounds. I found out that I have no other signs of abnormalities/issues so they are not worried Is your OB having you do growth scans?
@itsrandiyo - both cords have the usual vessels & arteries (I was unfamiliar with the acronym). Little boy was noted as having small ventricular echogenic focus. I finally have follow up with my OB on Thursday.
. How many weeks along are you? How big is baby? 22 weeks
2. How are you feeling lately? Not great. Throwing up once a week still but at least its not more plus whole family being sick with colds, stomach flu or sinus infections feeling a little burnt out. 3. Any appointments coming up? Next week going back to old Ob/Gyn! 4. Rants, Raves, Questions? Sorry haven't been as active the last month. Phone had app issues and I can never get to a computer. Now up and running again trying to get back to regularly checking on here. Just getting scared saw the office episode where Pam has the baby. Reminded me how crazy labor and those first few days are! 5. What were your best Black Friday/Cyber Monday finds last week? Got my 6 in 1 crockpot/pressure cooker for $50 on sale from $80! Also maternity coat for $29 from $70 at oldnavy.
@JJMNO1616 She mentioned that way back when we first started monitoring it, but I think as time goes on, doing it this late can pose more risks than benefits. Personally at this point, I would say no and just do progesterone. Next pregnancy, I would have a cerclage put in early on so I wouldn't have to worry too much about it.
Ya'll I'm soooo happy. Yesterday's cervix check went well. It had increased in length...not a whole lot, but they aren't worried about it so much now and I can skip next week's appointment. They will do one more in 2 weeks, then if that looks good, I go back to my monthly appointments. A little bonus, when I left the dr's office yesterday, it started snowing. I live in Austin and its been over 8 years since we've had even a flurry of snow. It was like a Christmas miracle along with my good news, coupled with some hormones I'm sure, I started crying lol.
