@suchaglencoco That's kinda why I went off the deep end and said I'll end up with a C-section. My "labor" with the girls was pretty much all day, but it really wasn't terrible, and I pushed for less than 30 minutes for both of them. And they were small, so I'm worried I won't be able to have such an easy time again with a bigger baby.

Weight: oh boy. I was big, H was small. I’m going with 7.5
Length: wtf is the average length of a baby? FTM mom here so this is a shot in the dark, 19?

Eye color: can you tell eye color right away? Doesn’t it change? Anyways we both have blue eyes so blue.
Length of labor: I am going to say from the time contractions start to when we are holding the baby like 14 hours? Again, FTM, so I have no clue.

@bjkay22, I was thinking the same thing about the eye color question. As for the length, my girls were born at 35 weeks and were 17.75 and 18 inches, so I think 19 inches is on the smaller side.

@sandbar517 ok glad I’m not nuts about the eye color thing. Yeah husband and I are both shorties so I’m not thinking our baby is going to be super long. She’ll probably have a monster head to make up for it though. RIP my vagina.

@bjkay22, normally they're born with blueish eyes and turn their true color by a year. I have green, DH has brown, DS has BRIGHT blue eyes somehow and DD has brown. So I figure this one will have bown as well and turn around 9 months like DD did.

I am gunna post my 6yr old son's stats for fun and for future comparison with this baby.

Weight: 9lb 4ounces
Length: 18.5inch
Hair color: brown at birth, lightened to ginger, by his first hair cut, he was blonde. Still blonde at 6yrs old.
Eye color: dark blue at birth, lightened to blue/grey within a couple months
Length of labor: 34hours. Was stuck at 9cm dilated for over 6hours before an emergency CS, he was short but wide with a head at 99% for size at birth. Couldnt descend into the birth canal.

Oh yeah and if any FTM are guessing based on yours and daddy's weight and height at birth... be prepared, i got tricked. Both me and SO were small but his mom was a 9pounder and his dad was a 10pounder at birth!!! 3 of 4 grandkids on FILs side were 9lb or bigger. No GD.

Anything else? I have a fear of not making it to the hospital even though we live super close. I also secretly hope I get there too late to get an epidural. With DD I was already 8cm when I got the epidural. I always wonder if I could have made it through without (but it was also blissful relief!)

Just a clarification - it is typically Caucasian babies that are born with blue eyes that later change color.

And another fun fact - you may not know if your kid has green eyes until they’re up to 3yrs old!

@Kendrajos yes!!!! My son was 9.95 at 40weeks exactly! I was a FTM with no indication of a big baby… No gestational diabetes, gained a normal amount of weight myself, I was a seven pounder at birth and my husband was small… Doctors even joked about putting him back in. Did not have any idea I would have such a chunker!!
