Its crazy! I think next week will be crazier when we’re down to the single digits for weeks left!
2) How are you feeling? Pretty good. Normal hip and lower back pain. Heartburn has been pretty bad this week.
3) Any appointments this week? First doctors appt with my labour and delivery doctor tomorrow. Baby shower this weekend!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? It’s on my list of things to ask my doctor , but does anyone know what happens with your regularly scheduled medicine while you are in labour? I have two prescriptions I take every day that are supposed to be taken at the same time each day. Just wondering how this works with labour/hospital
5) GTKY: What Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal did you snag that you love the most?
We’re on a tight budget right now so no holiday shopping. Sad face.
1) 30 weeks!! Can't believe we're in the 30's Seriously!! February 6th is going to be here so fast.
2) How are you feeling? Feeling mostly fine. Normal aches, pains, and of course, constant kicks and movement. 3) Any appointments this week? 30 week check up tomorrow! I can finally find out if I have to take the 3 hour (I got 101 on my 1 hour and the lab indicated that 100 was high). I also don't know if I get another ultrasound, but I really want one just to see her.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? This week and next are going to be so insane for me. I've got a conference out of town Thursday-Saturday, which I'm actually excited about but it's also the week before my chorus concert I'm prepping. I also have tons of work left to do for my grad classes before they end next Wednesday. Just gotta make it to Friday, the 8th and I get my life back!! 5) GTKY: What Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal did you snag that you love the most? I didn't do any shopping for either, though my sister is looking at an Amazon echo Dot for me cause there's apparently a really good sale on them.
@pandappanderson I would check with your doctor bc it will depend on what the meds are for. My previous deliveries I was on HBP meds and they stopped them when I started labor or had my csection to see how my body reacted to delivery even though I have chronic hypertension. I’m sure If it is mental health related they would continue as normal.
Im tried. And my boobs are leaking.
I start twice a week appointments this week so I go Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday is a growth ultrasound. Next week I’ll start NSTs twice a week...fun times.
5) most important question. I scored my city select for $150 off retail. And also a jacket for 40% off that has a removable panel so I can use it after pregnancy. And also a laptop. And also I spent too much money.
@pandappanderson I started taking Nexium on Saturday. My HB was out of control too. It has helped a lot so far. Your question about meds made me realize I need to have this discussion with my OB. I am insulin resistant and take Metformin. I am hopng for nother US too @gingermama26. It's weird that I haven't seen him in a while. Good luck with your glucose test. Hopefully you are good with the 1 hour. The 3 hour was not fun. Just my left boob is leaking @smorzandoj. And it is making small crystals that look like salt. My OB said its anitbodies bc I've been having sinus infections. So weird and yet fascinating at the same time.
1) 30 weeks!! Can't believe we're in the 30's.
2) How are you feeling? Ok overall. Had to start on Nexium bc the HB was getting out of hand but it seems to be working. Just tired, hungry and winded all the time. 3) Any appointments this week? Yep! 30 week check up on Thursday. Interviewing pediatricians tomorrow and Wednesday. Hopefully we will like one of them and I can check that off my list.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I am having the worst nigthmares. The most common one is that someone breaks into our house and shoots the baby. It was so bad last night I had to go watch a movie to get my mind off of it. I know it means nothing but they suck. On a happy note, we got a lot of stuff done in the nursery and decorated for Christmas this weekend. 5) GTKY: What Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal did you snag that you love the most? Some comfy maternity pants, shorts and nursing tops. All of my yoga pants don't fit anymore and I was struggling.
1) 30 weeks!! Can't believe we're in the 30's yay!!! It’s nice to be in the 30’s finally.
2) How are you feeling? good for the most part. I have been having some crazy BH contractions though! Especially in the evening/night 3) Any appointments this week? I have my 3hr glucose test on Thursday:/. Not looking forward to it.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? not really I guess. I’m ready for February to get here. I dislike these end parts of pregnancy SO much 5) GTKY: What Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal did you snag that you love the most? i didn’t do any this year. I couldn’t find anything else that I really felt were worth it
Creeping on you girls to say how jealous I am that you are 30 weeks!!
@pandappanderson When I had DS, the hospital just gave me the medication I needed--I was on metformin and synthroid--both prescribed by my OB. I didn't have to bring anything--in fact--I was told not to bring meds. It is def something to ask your doctor about bc hospitals may differ on their policy
@magnolia305 I asked my doctor today at my 30week checkup and she said if labour is going normal and I’m doing the natural route there should be no reason I can’t take my synthroid and Zoloft at their regularly scheduled times. If I end up on an IV or pain medications i may not be allowed to take them but she wouldn’t be too concerned about me missing a day on how low of dosages I’m on.
I figure I’ll just get a little pill box and put several days worth of each in it and have it in the hospital bag so I have them if I’m allowed to take them.
Wooooo! No 3 hour glucose test needed! I also asked about another ultrasound and my midwife said they'd order one at 34 weeks. So excited to get a chance to see my LO before she arrives!
Sadly im no stranger to the 3hr . It’s my 3rd time doing it. If we go for #4 (which is not in the plans haha) then I will be asking to just skip the 1hr! Lol
1) 30 weeks!! Can't believe we're in the 30's Thursday will be the big 10 week countdown mark. Nuts for sure.
2) How are you feeling? Weirdly lost feeling in my arms this AM... and fighting a sinus cold. Extra tired and full of pee this week. Otherwise good spirits! Hah
3) Any appointments this week? Got my 3 hour glucose results. I passed! Woo hoo!
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Baby shower is this Saturday. I know my mom over did it but I love her for that. I’m excited.
5) GTKY: What Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal I am 90% finished with my shopping but surprisingly I did very little of it on Black Friday or cyber Monday.
1) 30 weeks!! Can't believe we're in the 30's Technically based on ovulation date, I'm 29 weeks 5 days, but they moved up my due date about a week a while back so now technically due on February 8th which means I'll hang out here.
2) How are you feeling? I'm having such a hard time breathing as of lately. I suspect based on where I feel movement and how short of breath I'm getting that this baby is sitting pretty high up. My doctor kind of confirmed this at my last appointment. They decided to do a cervical check based on symptoms I had been reporting and the doctor said the baby is sitting up really high and everything is closed up so that was good news. Baby was also in breech position at that point. I think I keep getting kicked in the bladder and it's causing this increased and unpredictable need to urinate which I'm not loving. I'm also exhausted beyond believe (see rant below) 3) Any appointments this week? I have an appointment one week from today.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? My rant and my rave are related. The rant...This past Monday DS stayed home from preschool with a 99 temp and he was just lethargic. We spent the holidays with my mom's side of the family and one of my cousins we never really see came with her two boys. Every single time we see ANY of my cousins with kids...DS gets sick. Both cousins live in the same part of NH so after this week, I'm pretty sure that there are some kind of superbugs that come down from NH with them. With the other cousins, it's always the stomach bug. This time, he was acting differently and then all of the sudden AFTER he was checked out and nothing but a slightly red throat was discovered...he spiked a temp of 104.9. We more or less had a miserable night of spontaneous vomiting, feverish hallucinations, warm baths for temperature control, crying (us not him) watching Monsters Inc and phone calls to the emergency pediatrician hotline. I was very close to taking him to Emergency. The doctor calmed us down and basically said until its up to 106-107, don't worry TOO much...yet. Luckily, after following a few tips from her and several horrible sleepless nights...he's on the mend. That's my rave... things are starting to go back to normal. 5) GTKY: What Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal did you snag that you love the most? I stayed far far away from Black Friday. However, I did most of my Christmas shopping already and more or less finished it up on Cyber Monday. I have one or two more gifts to buy.
2) How are you feeling? I'm so ready to go off work. I'm a nurse and these 12 hour shifts are going to be the death of me. I have BH basically anytime I stand up at work. Plus my belly makes it difficult for me to physically reach my patients. 3) Any appointments this week? I had my 30 week appointment and an ultrasound to check my cervix (I had a LEEP in oct and that can cause it to shorten) and baby's size since I was still down 10lb from pre pregnancy weight. Cervix and baby were fine other than him being breach.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant is more about my symptoms. Baby is breach but also very low in my abdomen so his head is up in my diaphragm and I have a numb/sore spot on my belly from that. And while work has been good about my assignments, there is always the potential to have a very sick and unstable patient and I honestly don't think i can do that physically anymore. 5) GTKY: What Black Friday/ Cyber Monday deal did you snag that you love the most? i bought nursing bras and tops for 40% off. And a dress for D
