Did you drink up until BFP?

We are TTC and I am starting to have the feeling that I am pg. My period is supposed to start Fri or Sat so I might be able to even take a test today to find out. However I drank all weekend! We had a date night, went to a Rangers game, etc. and I drank pretty heavily! I even had 1 glass last night. Now this morning I am feeling queasier than ever and thinking there is a good chance I am pg. Is it too early to have done any harm? Did you drink up until BFP?

You're totally fine.  You don't share anything with baby until 6 weeks.

I stopped drinking for the most part when I started doing medicated cycles but "drink til it's pink" is the rule of thumb.

You're fine, no reason to worry.  In fact, I had a glass of wine right before I got my BFP.  I'm not worried.

I drank pretty crazily the weekend before we found out...and all appears fine.  Like the other response said, I too have heard you don't share anything w/ the baby until after 6 wks.

I'm not a big drinker at all but for whatever reason this cycle I drank much more often than usual. Between being on vacation, going to happy hour and concerts, out to dinner, to a couple weddings, barbeques, going to a wine tasting, etc.... We weren't officially TTC so I really didn't think I had anything to worry about. But sure enough, we're PG. I'll be honest, I am kind of worried and do feel guilty that I drank this month. But there's not much I can do now except pray for a healthy baby.

I've heard that you don't "share anything" with the baby for the first 6 weeks, but I'm not sure if this is true... If you think about it, half of all pregnancies are unplanned, so it's likely that most of those moms were drinking before their BFP, and most of the time their babies turn out just fine!

I agree with the "drink til it's pink" guideline.  And I don't think you would be feeling queasy from pregnancy this early on?  I could be wrong though.  I've always heard that if you are pregnant enough to have symptoms, you are pregnant enough to have a positive HPT.

I was on a cruise until 3 days before BFP - lots of drinking.. even the two days before BFP, I had some Twisted Teas... no worries.

I drank heavily 3 days before and the day before my bfp. I'm not worried.

I am not a drinker, but I was on vacation during my 2ww this cycle, and I had several drinks. It's fine, but if you suspect you are pregnant, take a test!! Good luck.

I drank like a fish the weekend b4 I got my bfp on a monday with my daughter... it was a friends bday and we werent trying (it was an oops).  I just took a test for shits n giggles with my SIL bc she tested positive.... then low and behold I got a positive too lol

and I drank the night b4 I got a bfp with this one too

I didn't drink, but I sucked down at least two dozen raw oysters right before I found out.  I'm hoping any type of infection or virus from that would have kicked in by now.

The first time I tested for this pregnancy I was 13 DPO and I was at my MIL's house for the 4th of July.  I was in the middle of drinking a Dos Equis and took DS into the house for a diaper change.  I took the kid, a diaper, a pee stick and my half drunk beer.  I got a BFP.

My birthday was three days before I got my BFP...we weren't trying so the thought that I may be pregnant didn't cross my mind until my period was late.  Chances are that I could have tested on my birthday and got a BFP.  But I didn't and I drank a ton that night!  Like 6 Malibu bay breezes, which is a lot for me.  I felt really bad at first but every I've read says it's ok that early.  So I would if I were you, but it's a personal choice.  Good luck!

I did and by mistake! We weren't going to start trying for a few more months, so this was a surprise. I had a margarita the night before I found out and had a few drinks the week before that. I had no idea I could even be pregnant, so I just hope and pray everything is ok.
